Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing furrowed his brow and said in a deep voice, ”I’m only responsible for fighting thirty rounds, winning is enough, I won’t kill anyone!”

”Mr. Ye, I know you are a man of principles., However, these are the rules of the game, and you must abide by them!” The Tiger King’s underling glanced at Ye Qing and replied with a faint smile, ”Moreover, this Prison Head is actually a man who deserves to die. Believe me, once you hear our referee’s introduction about him, you’ll want to kill him yourself!”

Ye Qing gave him a cold look and said in a deep voice, ”Tell the Tiger King, after each match, I want to see those three people unharmed!”

”No problem, I’ll discuss it with Eldest Brother!” The Tiger King’s underling smiled and said, ”Mr. Ye, thirty bouts, I hope you fight well. Once you win them all, you can all leave together. I wish you success in advance!”

Ye Qing ignored him and silently stood in his corner.

Finally, amidst the shouts of the crowd, the Prison Head made a swaggering entrance.

The Prison Head was about one meter eighty tall, not particularly outstanding among these fighters. However, his appearance was incredibly savage. His arms were covered in tattoos, his head shaved to a shine. His eyes gleamed with a bloodthirsty light, his thick arms rippled with muscles, looking exceptionally terrifying, his appearance far more manic than a madman.

Most chilling of all was the small skull hanging around his neck, exquisitely delicate, almost identical to a real skull.

”Now entering is our popular contestant, Prison~Head!” the referee drew out his words as if introducing a gambling god. As his voice rang out, the venue erupted with excited cheers; Prison Head truly was a popular contestant.

The referee got caught up in the energy of the crowd and shouted, ”Last year’s champion in the second half of the year, although he may not be the most powerful contestant we’ve seen, he is the most insane and the most cruel. In the last half of the year, he participated in twenty-three matches, seven contestants were beaten to death by him, and eleven were crippled.

Therefore, he earned a crazy nickname, Murderer! Oh!!!”

The crowd cheered along, and Prison Head stepped onto the stage, arrogantly raising his hands, enjoying the cheers of the people.

The referee continued, ”Actually, Prison Head got this nickname long ago. Just like the name ’Prison Head’, when he was twenty-one, he killed eight members of a neighboring family, not even sparing a seven-month-old baby. It is said that this skull on his chest is the skull of that child. How cruel, how insane, how bloody!”

Ye Qing wrinkled his brow, no wonder the skull hanging on the Prison Head’s neck looked so real; it turned out to be actually real. And it was made from the skull of a child he had killed. This Prison Head truly had no conscience. It seemed the Tiger King’s underling was right, after hearing the referee’s words, Ye Qing had already felt a killing intent towards the Prison Head!

Prison Head seemed quite pleased with these comments, proudly watching the crowd. Meanwhile, the audience was more excited than ever, for them, it didn’t matter who Prison Head killed or what kind of people they were, what mattered was that the upcoming match would be bloody.

Just as the Tiger King had said, humans are like this, whether they are characters of high society or the lowliest of delinquents, they are all equally beastly, all equally bloodthirsty!

The referee moved next to Prison Head and said, ”Actually, many friends don’t understand why you have the nickname ’Prison Head’. I asked Prison Head about it before, and actually, Prison Head has not only been to prison, but he was also sentenced to death. However, Prison Head isn’t just any man, how could prison hold such a hidden dragon?

He killed seventeen people while in prison and can be said to have been the strongest leader there, hence, after escaping prison, he took on the nickname ’Prison Head’, appearing here in our arena!”

”Prison Head! Prison Head! Prison Head!”

The audience shouted in unison, actually most people were already familiar with Prison Head’s past. Yet, his story excited these people each time it was mentioned.

Ye Qing looked at the audience below and sighed. These people, listening to the cruel story of a murderer, not only didn’t feel the slightest hatred but instead admired him. Had this society truly fallen to such an extent? These so-called rich people, these so-called figures of high society, had they really lost all sense of basic right and wrong?

”Prison Head, kill him!” Suddenly, an audience member shouted loudly.

”Yes, kill him!”

”Kill him!”

Everyone shouted; they had just lost a lot of money because of Ye Qing and now hated him intensely. Now that Prison Head had arrived, it seemed like they saw hope, eager for Prison Head to kill Ye Qing immediately as if avenging them.

Upstairs, the Tiger King sneered as he watched the scene below and said, ”These so-called successful people, huh, what a joke!”

”Eldest Brother, what are the odds for this one?” the underling beside him asked.

The Tiger King said, ”Give Ye Qing ten to one, give Prison Head one point two to one.”

”Ah?” the underling blinked and asked, ”Ye Qing just won a match, and you still dare to give him ten to one? If someone bets ten million that he wins, we could possibly go bust.”

”Humph, ten million? Who would spend so much!” the Tiger King sneered and said, ”I’ve seen through this bunch of so-called successful people long ago; this round, those betting on his win will definitely not exceed one million!”

The younger brother glanced at Tiger King; he was somewhat skeptical of Tiger King’s words but still hurriedly went to relay the odds.

Five minutes later, the betting ended, and when he saw the results, the younger brother was stunned. As Tiger King had said, there was only eight hundred thousand on Ye Qing winning, far from one million. And those betting on Prison Head winning exceeded twenty million, showing that many were playing it safe, not betting big like before. Yet, they still didn’t trust Ye Qing!

In the basement, the spectators’ section was noisy, the fat man who had just won ten million was now more excited than anyone. He stood on his chair and shouted loudly, ”Ye Qing, I’ve put another five hundred thousand on you winning, don’t let me down!”

”Damn, took advantage once and now you want a second?” A person next to him glanced at the fat man and said, ”This round, your five hundred thousand is really going to be wasted!”

”I really think highly of him!” the fat man said nonchalantly, ”So what if it’s wasted? He just made me ten million, even if I throw away five hundred thousand, it won’t hurt!”

”Damn!” The people around him gave the fat man the middle finger.

”Besides, who said Ye Qing is definitely going to lose!” The fat man looked at Ye Qing on the ring, his face filled with excitement, and said, ”Once he wins, won’t I earn again?”

”Go dream on!” several people around said in unison.

”Heh heh...” The fat man scratched his head, still looking excited.

On the ring, Ye Qing and Prison Head faced off, the referee symbolically grabbed their fists, initially planning to have them shake hands. Unexpectedly, Prison Head suddenly grabbed Ye Qing’s arm, yanked him into his embrace, and with his glossy bald head, he fiercely headbutted towards Ye Qing’s head.

This was an underground boxing match; there were no rules to speak of. Of course, such behavior was despised. However, for these spectators, Prison Head’s actions only made them more excited.

Seeing Prison Head’s move, everyone started shouting excitedly, while the fat man yelled, ”Damn, that’s a sneak attack!”

”That’s strategy!” a man replied.

In the midst of speaking, Ye Qing almost got hit by Prison Head’s head. Seeing how glossy and huge Prison Head’s head was, he dared to headbutt like that, certainly because his skull was tough. A direct collision would surely result in injury.

And at that moment, Ye Qing suddenly lifted his left foot, stepping on Prison Head’s right leg. With his right foot touching the ground, using that force, Ye Qing leaped into the air, flipping over Prison Head’s head. While in the air, his right hand also broke free from Prison Head’s grip, and his arms encircled Prison Head’s neck.

The moment he landed, Ye Qing let out a deep roar, his arms clutching Prison Head’s neck, fiercely thrusting forward. Prison Head’s body, weighing over a hundred eighty pounds, was thrown over Ye Qing’s shoulder, flying more than three meters away.

In that instant, the whole arena was shocked. Everyone watched as Ye Qing almost got hit by Prison Head’s head, but at that moment, Ye Qing flipped over Prison Head, simultaneously embracing his neck, and with a shoulder throw, he tossed him away. All of this happened within a second, too fast for anyone to react.

And in fact, what was more unimaginable to the audience was that Ye Qing could perform such an incredible move. This kind of scene, one could only see in martial arts movies. Also, Ye Qing’s weight definitely did not exceed a hundred forty, and with Prison Head weighing over a hundred eighty, being thrown three meters, how was that possible?

Upstairs, Tiger King watched the entire process, and even he was stunned. Having fought with Ye Qing before, he knew Ye Qing’s skills were extraordinary. However, he didn’t expect Ye Qing to be so powerful!

”A Master! Truly a Master!” Tiger King clenched his teeth, his gaze growing more murderous, his fingers interlocked, popping his knuckles loudly.

Tiger King said in a low voice to the younger brother beside him, ”Send more men to guard the underground ring, tonight he must not leave here alive no matter what!”

In another luxurious private room upstairs, Yang Shitao and the man beside him were also sitting there. He had arrived here early, and seeing such a scene, his smirk grew colder.

”Tiger King is cautious in his actions, always leaving no loose ends. The stronger Ye shows himself to be, the less likely Tiger King will let him go!” Yang Shitao sneered, ”It looks like we won’t need Fire Butterfly to come over, he’s already doomed!”

”Actually, we really don’t need to provoke Fire Butterfly.” The man beside him said, ”No matter how strong Ye is, he is just one person. In Shenchuan City, for Tiger King to deal with him is as easy as turning over his hand. Stirring up enmity with Fire Butterfly always leaves a hidden danger!”

Yang Shitao shook his head and said, ”If I want him dead, it must be foolproof!”
