Urban Martial Saint

After arranging the scene, Zhao Chengshuang quickly found Ye Qing and whispered, ”You should leave now, some leaders from the city will be here soon. Don’t worry, the city leaders are taking this seriously, these kids won’t ever face such issues again!”

Ye Qing shook his head and said, ”I don’t trust them.”

Zhao Chengshuang was taken aback and said, ”What the heck, if you don’t trust the main leaders of the city, then who do you trust?”

Ye Qing looked at the children and remained silent for a long time, not saying a word. After what had happened, he couldn’t trust anyone anymore. Over the years, who knows how many poor little children that Director Chen had actually sold?

Zhao Chengshuang patted Ye Qing’s shoulder and said, ”I know you don’t like the look of anyone right now, but you can’t stay here either. Otherwise, when those leaders arrive, how will I explain to them about these three people getting hurt? Go back first, I assure you, I will take good care of these kids, you can at least trust me, right?”

Finally, Ye Qing nodded, found Black Bear, and rode off on his motorcycle before the leaders arrived.

Simultaneously, on the other side of the city, in Yang Shitao’s villa, he was quietly listening to a man reporting next to him.

”Ye really raided the orphanage, Chen Qiang had one hand and two feet chopped off, basically making him useless. Fire Butterfly’s female subordinate also had one hand cut off and her face destroyed before she escaped.”

A cold smirk flashed across Yang Shitao’s face as he said, ”It seems that we don’t have to deal with him ourselves this time. Neither Tiger King nor Fire Butterfly are easy to mess with. After an incident like this, who would let him off!”

The man sitting next to Yang Shitao shook his head and said, ”If the Lin family backs Ye Qing, Tiger King might not be able to handle him. Although Fire Butterfly is powerful, that woman under her isn’t very outstanding, she might not come to Shenchuan City to seek revenge on Ye Qing for this.”

”That’s not necessarily true,” Yang Shitao sneered, ”What if this woman died?”

The man was stunned for a moment, looked at Yang Shitao, and said gravely, ”You... you’re not planning to kill her, right? You need to understand, Fire Butterfly... Fire Butterfly is a high-voltage line that cannot be touched. If you provoke her into coming to Shenchuan City, no one can curb her, not even Lin Zhen Nan.”

”Hmph, you really think Lin Zhen Nan is such a big deal. Despite his vast wealth, what else does he have? If it weren’t for the family from Xi Hang, Lin would’ve been swallowed long ago,” Yang Shitao cursed indignantly, adding gravely, ”I want to see, even if Lin Zhen Nan is capable, whether he can battle Fire Butterfly. If Fire Butterfly comes to Shenchuan City, I want to see how he protects Ye!”

The man looked embarrassed and said in a low voice, ”Fire Butterfly is no fool; she will surely investigate who killed her subordinate. Using this method against Ye could be too costly.”

”I don’t care!” Yang Shitao shouted, ”To avenge my son, I’m willing to stake my own life!”

The man sighed, realizing that Yang Shitao was nearing madness. For revenge, he was indeed capable of doing anything.

Ye Qing took Black Bear back to the hospital and stopped by to see Lin Yashi.

Old Lady Lin had already gone to rest, and Lin Zhen Nan had left to attend to his company’s affairs. In the hospital room, only Lin Yaqing, Lin Fuyuan, and a few other Lin family members remained.

As soon as Ye Qing entered, the Lin family members immediately stood up, their eyes filled with hostility toward him.

”What are you doing here?” Lin Fuyuan asked sternly.

”What else could it be, obviously to see if our little sister is dead or not, and to gloat over her misfortune,” Lin Yaqing said coldly.

Ye Qing said nothing, walked to the bedside and looked at Lin Yashi. Her wounds had been dressed, and her tongue reattached, but her bandaged appearance looked particularly bleak.

Seeing his sister like this, Lin Fuyuan grew even angrier and said sternly, ”Ye, you’re not welcome here, get out!”

”It’s not that simple!” Lin Yaqing gritted her teeth and said, ”Ye, don’t think I don’t know—it must have been you who colluded with the robbers to take away my sister. Then, to deceive our trust, you personally went and rescued her. Hmph, you may deceive my big brother, but not me. I will not let this go!”

Ye Qing remained silent and turned to leave. However, Lin Yaqing seemed not to have vented her anger yet, grabbed hold of Ye Qing’s clothes, and angrily said, ”Don’t go, you have to clear this up. How exactly did you harm my sister, and what exactly are you trying to do to our Lin family? Tell me all about it!”

Ye Qing frowned, turned to look at Lin Yaqing, and said, ”I didn’t harm her, I have no intentions against the Lin family!”

”Bullshit!” Lin Yaqing spat, angrily shouting, ”If you weren’t plotting against the Lin family’s wealth, I’d chop off my head and give it to you. Ye, don’t think putting on a facade of integrity will fool everyone. We Lin family members aren’t fools; your tricks won’t work on us!”

Ye Qing sighed, took a step back, and tried to free himself from Lin Yaqing’s grip. However, Lin Yaqing held on too tightly; as he stepped back, Lin Yaqing was dragged forward, almost falling to the ground.

”How dare you pull me!” Lin Yaqing snapped angrily, grabbing Ye Qing’s clothes as she shouted, ”What, did I strike a nerve, and now you’re furious?”

The other members of the Lin family approached, and Lin Fuyuan glared at Ye Qing, speaking in a deep voice, ”Ye, don’t push it too far!”

”We haven’t even settled the matter with Yashi yet, and you dare to be reckless here in our house? Truly ignorant of life and death!” another person shouted.

”Why waste words on such a person? Call the police and let them investigate this matter.”

The crowd surrounded Ye Qing, clamoring and righteously indignant, as if Ye Qing were their Lin family’s arch-enemy.

Helpless, Ye Qing said, ”Since you all think my approach to the Lin family has an ulterior motive, fine, I resign from my job as a bodyguard. From now on, I’ll never meddle in your Lin family’s affairs again. How about that?”

”Hmph, found out and now trying to leave the Lin family to prove yourself innocent? Ye, you’re really scheming. With your resignation now, the Eldest Brother definitely won’t agree, and Hua Yu will surely make a fuss. After all the commotion, you’ll just end up being called back!” Lin Yaqing spoke coldly, ”If you really mean it, then leave Shenchuan City for good and never come back.

Only then can you prove your innocence!”

”I can’t leave now!” Ye Qing shook his head, handing Lin Yaqing the card Lin Zhen Nan had given him, ”However, I can guarantee that from now on, I won’t interfere in any of your Lin family’s affairs!”

After saying this, Ye Qing turned and walked away, ignoring the Lin family members.

The Lin family members did not dare to actually stop him; they all knew Ye Qing’s prowess and were indeed afraid of provoking his anger.

Lin Yaqing, holding the card, watched Ye Qing walk away, spat disdainfully, and cursed, ”I don’t believe this dog can stop eating shit. This Ye definitely has issues.”

”Let it be, he’s left the Lin family now, it will be harder for him to get close to us again.” Lin Fuyuan consoled, ”Regardless, today, we have removed a hidden threat to the Lin Family. Didn’t Old Lady Lin hire a private investigator? Once we get the report, we can settle scores with him slowly.”

Lin Yaqing clenched his fists, teeth gritted, speaking sternly, ”Hmph, if I get the evidence, I’ll make sure he pays dearly!”

Leaving Lin Yashi’s hospital room, Ye Qing couldn’t help sighing again. His approach to the Lin family was initially to inquire about Boss Lin to search for his own brother. Now that he had clarified matters concerning Boss Lin, to be honest, staying with the Lin family no longer made sense.

Moreover, the Lin family’s suspicion of him had discouraged him, making him lose all interest in entangling with them further, so he had taken the opportunity to resign.

No longer having to worry about the Lin family’s affairs, Ye Qing felt a great relief. He visited Wang Tiezhu at the hospital, who had awakened, with his sister sitting there taking care of him. Several gift boxes and fruit baskets lay beside the bedside table, indicating someone had visited him.

Seeing Ye Qing arrive, Wang Tiezhu immediately struggled to sit up, speaking softly, ”Ye!”

Ye Qing nodded and sat beside the bed. Wang Tiezhu’s sister poured a cup of water for Ye Qing.

”Did someone visit this afternoon?” Ye Qing asked.

”It was Old Madam Zhao. She came to see me,” Wang Tiezhu replied, lowering his head sheepishly, ”She’s so old, yet she personally came to visit me. I… I really feel uncomfortable about it…”

Ye Qing knew Old Madam Zhao was Zhao Chengshuang’s grandmother. The first time Ye Qing took Wang Tiezhu to her house, she had given a positive evaluation of Wang Tiezhu. Apparently, she cared about Wang Tiezhu quite a bit, having personally visited him at the hospital. Ye Qing knew that even when Zhao Chengshuang was hospitalized, she had only visited twice.

Of course, that was also related to Zhao Chengshuang being a wastrel. Zhao Chengshuang had a quite notorious reputation in the Zhao family before, having only recently improved.

”I think, as long as one is alive, there’s still hope. How does the saying go? The poorest is but a beggar, but living will eventually lead to success.” Ye Qing looked at Wang Tiezhu and said, ”You’re an adult now, thinking of suicide over a small setback. Have you ever thought, if you died, what would happen to your family?

Your sister is still young, and your mother is in that condition; have you ever thought how they are relying solely on you as their only hope?”

Wang Tiezhu’s face flushed red as he spoke softly, ”Ye, I realize my mistake, I won’t do it again!”

”Whenever you face any setbacks in the future, think of your sister and mother, imagine the life they would have to lead without you. Honestly, there is no hardship too great to overcome; most of the time, it just takes some perseverance to get through!” Ye Qing patted Wang Tiezhu’s shoulder and said, ”I believe in you; you will definitely succeed!”

Wang Tiezhu looked up at Ye Qing, his eyes shimmering with gratitude, and said, ”Ye, thank you!”
