The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

On the day they arrived at Changjin Prefecture, the weather was gray and gloomy, as if it was about to rain.

Just as the caravan entered the city, they saw two people standing by the city gate, looking over in this direction.

Once they saw the person leading the group, the two people waved excitedly, and one of them directly ran over.

Shu Yu stuck her head out of the carriage to look, and was taken aback by her actions. Her face changed when she saw Meng Han, with her big belly, still moving so swiftly.

Meng Yunzheng immediately got off his horse, frowning at her.

Meng Han instantly shrank her neck back and quickly grabbed Gan Rui’s hand, letting out an awkward laugh.

Gan Rui himself was scared out of his wits, and only felt a bit more at ease after grabbing Meng Han’s hand.

Shu Yu told Yuan Gui to lead the group into the city first, while she herself came down holding Mianmian.

Little Mianmian tilted her head, curiously looking at Meng Han. Her googly eyes moved from Meng Han’s face to her belly, wide-eyed in surprise.

Meng Han was charmed by her cute expression and excitedly asked her, ”Mianmian, do you remember me?”

Mianmian honestly shook her little head. There were too many people in her head, and she wondered if she could remember the person in front of her if she could just pour them out a little.

Shu Yu found it amusing, as Mianmian naturally didn’t remember Meng Han.

Back when Meng Yunzheng and Shu Yu got married, the next year Meng Qi also got married.

But at that time, Shu Yu was heavily pregnant, and even though her health was good, it was clearly not suitable for her to take a long trip to attend the wedding in Changjin Prefecture.

So only Meng Yunzheng and Meng Pei went, along with Lu Erbai and Madam Ruan as relatives.

As for Meng Han, she got married to Gan Rui in the first half of last year, and Little Mianmian was not yet two years old then. Shu Yu did bring her to Changjin Prefecture, and she did meet Meng Han.

But now more than a year had passed, and the young child had long forgotten about her.

So she clasped her small hands together and asked in a voice she thought was soft, but everyone around could hear, ”Mother, who is she? Mianmian shook her little head a few times and couldn’t remember. Can you tell me quickly, or else she’ll start crying.”

Meng Han, ”...” Where did she see that I was about to cry?

Shu Yu, mimicking Mianmian’s soft voice, said, ”She is your aunt.”

Mianmian suddenly realized, ”So she’s my aunt.”

During the journey, Shu Yu often mentioned that they would meet her aunt and uncle midway, as well as Great-uncle and Great-aunt.

She immediately said to Meng Han, ”Aunt, don’t cry. It’s not that Mianmian doesn’t remember you, I actually remembered you all of a sudden, really. Look at my sincere big eyes. Aren’t they big?”

Meng Han, ”...” Oh, my belly aches, how can there be such an adorable little baby?

She wanted to reach out to hold her, but Shu Yu quickly stepped back, ”Take it easy, you’re still pregnant.”

Meng Han could only look at Mianmian regretfully and said in a low voice, ”If only the child in my belly could be as cute as Mianmian.”

”That’s impossible, Mianmian is super cute.” Little Mianmian immediately puffed out her small chest.

She then thought saying that might upset her aunt, and hastily added, ”Aunt’s baby is the second cutest.”

”Hahaha.” Meng Han couldn’t stop laughing, she really wanted to sneak Mianmian back home.

Shu Yu gently pinched the little one’s nose, and then walked forward with Meng Han.

Meng Han was already married, so she naturally lived at the Gan Family in the prefecture.

Actually, it’s not just her; Meng Qi and his wife also lived in the prefecture.
