The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 986: Chapter 986: Causes and Consequences

The couple from the Lu Sanzhu household in the Fan family seemed quite invested in this matter. However, as the kiln factory was attempting to produce this type of product for the first time, the workers were inexperienced, and it wasn’t easy to get it fired properly.

The Young Master couldn’t stay at the kiln factory all the time since he had other matters to attend to. He handed the blueprints to the foreman, instructing him to finish them quickly.

But his instructions inadvertently drew the attention of others.

This morning, Ms. Mei brought a group of people, claiming they wanted to inspect the latest batch of ceramics firing results. They arrived suddenly when the foreman was focused on reshaping the raw clay according to the dimensions on the blueprints, completely unaware of their presence.

By the time he noticed the commotion nearby, Ms. Mei and her group were already right in front of him, picking up the blueprints from the table and examining them directly.

The foreman, being one of the Young Master’s men, knew a bit about the internal discord within the Fan family and became nervous as soon as Ms. Mei approached.

Sure enough, after examining the blueprints, Ms. Mei remarked, ”What a mess this is! The Fan family supports you all so you can work properly, not so you can shirk your duties and misuse company resources.”

The foreman hurriedly tried to explain that it was the Young Master’s orders.

Unfortunately, before he could clarify, Ms. Mei swiftly tossed the two blueprints into a nearby brazier.

The foreman was horrified and immediately attempted to retrieve them, but by the time he went around the table, he could only salvage one sheet.

Thankfully, the salvaged sheet was only scorched along the edges, with the central design still intact.

However, the next moment, Ms. Mei dumped a basin of water onto him while saying, ”Hey! You’ve got flames on you—be careful not to get burned.”

The foreman was instantly drenched, completely disheartened as the blueprint he held turned soggy and tore into two pieces, its design smudged and irreparable.

Both blueprints were now destroyed. The foreman was on the verge of tears, while Ms. Mei left the kiln factory looking entirely unbothered.

The foreman didn’t dare confront Ms. Mei, so he rushed to the Fan family to find the Young Master.

Unfortunately, Ms. Mei returned to the household ahead of him. Perhaps she anticipated his arrival and instructed the gatekeeper to block him from entering.

Luckily, Xiao Yun happened to be heading out and bumped into him; otherwise, this matter might have been concealed from them completely.

After listening to him, Xiao Yun naturally didn’t bother going back to the Ding family but hurriedly returned to the Fan family, rushing toward Xilan Garden to inform Ding Yuehua of the incident.

However, the gatekeeper had already sent someone to alert Ms. Mei, saying that the foreman had encountered Xiao Yun and was likely unstoppable.

As a result, just as Xiao Yun rounded the Gate of Drooping Flowers, two maids under Ms. Mei approached to cause trouble.

Ms. Mei, having acted so openly, wasn’t afraid of the Lu Sanzhu household discovering what she had done.

But since she had only just returned and hadn’t yet gotten a chance to manipulate her mother-in-law’s perception, she needed to file her complaint first, shifting all the blame onto the third son’s wife. By drawing her mother-in-law to her side, she might even be able to use the situation against the third son’s wife if she came to confront her.

Therefore, stopping Xiao Yun was a priority.

In doing so, a conflict broke out. Xiao Yun, having been at Ding Yuehua’s side for many years and traveling extensively, was physically strong.

The two maids couldn’t hold her back; on the contrary, they were pinned to the ground by Xiao Yun.

When Ms. Mei arrived after manipulating her mother-in-law, Xiao Yun had already broken free.

At that moment, Ms. Mei took a sudden step forward and, following Xiao Yun’s gestures, deliberately fell to the ground. She then accused Xiao Yun of striking her mistress and instructed several burly old women to seize Xiao Yun and beat her to death.

Fortunately, others were present in the courtyard at the time, including the old woman who had come to deliver the message to Ding Yuehua.

Shu Yu listened to the entire sequence of events and nodded, indicating that he understood.
