The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 984: Chapter 984: Shu Yu: That Blueprint Is Mine

Ding Yuehua had been fully occupied dealing with the two people in front of her and hadn’t noticed that someone had followed her in from behind.

She froze for a moment upon hearing Shu Yu’s words, not quite understanding her meaning.

But Shu Yu continued smiling and said, ”Yuehua, since you’ve married into the Fan family, you are now the Third Young Madam of the Fan family. The servants you brought with you are now servants of the Fan family. Similarly, whether it’s your sister-in-law or your mother-in-law, the ones serving them have to address you as ’Mistress’ as well, right?”

Ding Yuehua grasped her meaning almost instantly.

Sure enough, the next moment, she heard Shu Yu say, ”Just now, when you entered, that old woman in the courtyard chased after you and even grabbed at you. Simply outrageous—how can a mistress be handled so casually? And the servants in this courtyard, they didn’t even think to pay respects to the Third Young Madam when they saw you. No sense of etiquette at all. Yuehua, as the Third Young Madam of the Fan family, you have an obligation to teach them proper conduct. Only then will your mother-in-law truly believe you’ve integrated into the Fan family and regard yourself as one of them. After all, everything you do is for the good of the Fan family, isn’t that right?”

Ding Yuehua laughed. When she arrived just now, she had brought along a few rough servant women from her maiden family as part of her dowry.

As soon as Shu Yu finished speaking, Ding Yuehua waved her hand and directly pointed at the servant woman who had just rushed in after her earlier, saying sharply, ”It’s her! She dared to grab me. If I hadn’t steadied myself in time, I would have taken a nasty fall. This courtyard of my sister-in-law’s is littered with gravel so uneven that such a fall could’ve killed me! I now suspect that you deliberately intended to harm my life. You lot, seize her and beat her to death.”

Ms. Yu and Ms. Mei were shocked on the spot. That servant woman happened to be someone close to Ms. Yu, and she immediately shouted angrily, ”Let me see who dares!”

Of course, Ding Yuehua wasn’t planning to actually beat anyone. She only wanted the old women accompanying her to put on an act. So, when Ms. Yu yelled, those old women merely restrained the servant woman without taking further action.

Ms. Mei, seeing this, immediately turned her head and glared angrily at Shu Yu. ”And who are you?”

”Me? I’m Yuehua’s friend.”

Earlier, when Ms. Mei had entered, the gatekeeper mentioned that two people had come to visit the Third Young Madam, one of whom was Kong Zhiyou.

Ms. Mei was familiar with that person, so it was evident the stranger currently standing at Ding Yuehua’s side was the other of the two. This unfamiliar face wasn’t someone she recognized, and she had no idea where this person had come from to steal the spotlight here.

She sneered and pointed at Shu Yu, saying, ”This is a matter of the Fan family. What business does an outsider like you have meddling in it? Someone, escort this presumptuous woman who doesn’t recognize her place out of here.”

The maidservant by Ms. Mei’s side immediately stepped forward. However, before she could get close, Shu Yu raised her head and said, ”Who says this matter has nothing to do with me? I heard you destroyed two blueprints, and Xiao Yun got into a conflict with you over it, nearly getting beaten to death by you. Is that correct? Apologies, but those blueprints—they’re mine. Now tell me, does this concern me or not?”

Ms. Mei froze. Those blueprints—were hers?

Ding Yuehua was also stunned. Yu had actually guessed it?

She and Shu Yu exchanged a glance, and in that moment, Shu Yu was certain—the two blueprints in question were indeed the ones for the latrines.

”So, I handed my blueprints over to you, only to have them ruined. As the rightful owner of the blueprints, don’t I have the right to ask for an explanation as to what happened here?”

She glanced at Xiao Yun before raising her head again. ”Of course, if the Eldest Young Mistress feels I’m unqualified to question you, then let’s report this to the authorities.”
