Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 153: Chapter 142: The Punishment of Impulse

Luo Qianqian was lost in thought when her classmates gradually started to arrive. Holding her composition book, she looked at the letter and wondered what kind of mindset would drive this boy to frame her?

Finally, the boy entered the classroom. Seeing Luo Qianqian’s complex gaze fixed on him, he panicked and quickly returned to his seat.

Holding two pieces of letter paper and a composition book, Luo Qianqian walked up to the boy, ”Wang Yang, what do you mean by this?” she said, throwing the items onto Wang Yang’s desk. ”I hardly ever interact with you, why would you frame us?”

”What’s going on?” Pei Yuhao stood up, strode to the classroom door by Wang Yang’s desk, and looked at the letter paper and the composition book.

”What are you talking about? I don’t know,” said Wang Yang, turning his head away, refusing to meet Luo Qianqian’s aggressive gaze.

”Qianqian, what happened, you tell me first,” Pei Yuhao said, noting Luo Qianqian’s infuriated expression. ”If you’ve been wronged, I’ll stand up for you.”

”These two pieces of letter paper were stuffed into Xiu Tianyi’s and my seats early this morning. Just read the content; it’s unbearable and even purports to be from us. If we had those feelings, wouldn’t we say it to each other’s faces instead of writing some love letter with spelling mistakes, hidden inside a math workbook? Just guess what would happen if the head teacher saw this,” Luo Qianqian said to Pei Yuhao, visibly irate.

Pei Yuhao frowned as he finished reading the content of the letters, rubbing his arms, his skin crawling. ”Wang Yang, did you write this?” It’s truly disgusting; no wonder Luo Qianqian is furious.

”No,” Wang Yang turned his head away, not even glancing at Luo Qianqian.

”You think if you don’t look at me, nothing will happen? If you don’t look, does it mean you didn’t write it? Do you know the police have something called handwriting analysis? Why else would I be holding your composition book? And the letter paper could have the culprit’s fingerprints, especially around certain areas that others wouldn’t touch,” Luo Qianqian said, pointing her fingernail at the seal and watching Wang Yang turn pale before speaking, ”What grudge do you have against me that you would do this to me?”

Pei Yuhao carefully examined the composition book and the letter paper, finally interjecting, ”It does look similar, but we can’t be sure it was him, right? We have so many people in our class.” He glanced at Wang Wei, suspecting him as the primary candidate to frame Luo Qianqian.

Luo Qianqian saw the look in Pei Yuhao’s eyes and shook her head, ”It’s not him; his handwriting is too terrible.” She pointed to a pile of composition books on the lectern, ”I compared them, and only this one matches.”

Wang Yang’s face turned even paler. He stopped defending himself, stood up, and glared down at Luo Qianqian (unfortunately, he was younger and shorter; such is life), ”Who told you to score so well and make Sun Xuan leave? How good a girl Sun Xuan was! If not for you, why would she leave our school? A girl like you deserves to be cursed and hated.” His eyes filled with revulsion.

Luo Qianqian laughed in extreme anger, ”So what? Is it my fault for performing well? So what? If I had performed poorly and left the class or the school, would that be just my fate? What about when Sun Xuan plotted to make me sick, and I lost, should I just accept my fate? What were you doing when Sun Xuan was oppressing me? Even if I left, you wouldn’t pity me for a second. Why should I step aside for her? Fair is fair.”

”But you won! Can’t you give in a bit, why should she have to leave the class instead of you, who doesn’t belong here?” Wang Yang shouted at Luo Qianqian, his spit flying onto her face, which Luo Qianqian disdainfully wiped off with her uniform.

”I earned my place at this school through my own efforts; why should I leave? I stand here because I have value, what right do you have to judge me? At least I don’t rely on my family for my education; I can support myself!” Indeed, the scholarship provided by First Middle School each year was substantial enough to cover not just books and tuition, but even meals, as long as one’s grades were good enough.

”Slap!” Luo Qianqian’s face swelled red, she looked incredulously at Wang Yang’s raised hand, her eyes reddening, ”Sun Xuan did nothing wrong, being in such a class was already a mistake! Why do you still cling to Xu Tianyi when you already have Pei Yuhao? What harm would it do to give Sun Xuan a chance? Hogging without benefit! Bitch, you deserve to be shunned and used by everyone!”

”Ha.” Luo Qianqian sneered, ”I’ll cling to whoever I want to cling to, you... Xu Tianyi!” Luo Qianqian watched as Xu Tianyi rushed to Wang Yang, punching him hard, and blood gushed from Wang Yang’s nose. He immediately fell to the ground, and Xu Tianyi sat on him, punching and throwing blows, aiming only for the face. One of Wang Yang’s hands was pinned by Xu Tianyi’s leg and couldn’t move; he could only swing his free hand at Xu Tianyi’s face while kicking and cursing non-stop.

”Xu Tianyi, don’t be rash,” said Pei Yuhao, yet he did not intervene, instead watching Wang Yang coldly, ”Don’t beat him into the hospital.”

Luo Qianqian pulled on Xu Tianyi, her tears falling uncontrollably, ”You guys are involving me now.”

”Everyone stop!” Xiu Xian entered the class and saw the chaotic scene near the door and decided to enter through the back. Discovering the fight, he hurriedly called them to stop.

Xu Tianyi didn’t heed Xiu Xian’s words, his face pale but still beating Wang Yang severely.

As soon as Pei Yuhao saw the teacher arrive, he pulled Luo Qianqian aside, stuffed the letter and exercise book into her hands, picked up Xu Tianyi, who still managed to kick Wang Yang a couple of times. Wang Yang shrank into the corner; his face was a bloody blur.

”Take him to the medical room; I’ll call the parents. Pei Yuhao and Xu Tianyi, come to my office.” Xiu Xian looked at Wang Yang’s state and involuntarily gasped. The classes of Class Nine and Class Ten were always hard to manage and had seen such incidents before, some even more severe, but this was his first encounter.

Luo Qianqian looked at Xu Tianyi’s pale face, his handsome, injured face, feeling heartbroken. What a pity for such a handsome face to get marred. She grabbed Xu Tianyi’s hand, gently tugging, ”I’m coming with you.”

Xu Tianyi shook his head and took the exercise book and letter, ”Go back to class, it’s fine.”

Luo Qianqian watched as Pei Yuhao supported Xu Tianyi, and Pei Yutian carried away Wang Yang, unable to move her feet. She dazedly returned to her seat, stared at the breakfast on her desk, felt the pain on her face, and couldn’t help but cry.

After two classes, Xu Tianyi returned. Wang Yang had already been taken away by his parents.

”How are you? Are you okay? Does it still hurt?” Ignoring the teacher’s gaze, Luo Qianqian’s tears began to fall profusely.

”It’s nothing.” Xu Tianyi shook his head, thinking about what Bai Yi had said to him after being called over, his face grew even paler.

Bai Yi: ”The Luo family won’t allow her to have such rumors now, you understand what I mean, right? Since this incident has occurred, you better return to Capital City first. We will make arrangements for you, you don’t need to worry about returning to the Xu Family.”
