King of the Wilderness

Chapter 725: Chapter 340: Florida Doesn’t Support Idlers!

In the following month, Lin Yu’an’s life was divided into two parts.

In one part, he frequently visited the Kunming City Public Security Bureau building as an important witness, cooperating with the task force on various follow-up tasks.

In the other part, he returned to his role as a husband and father, accompanying Aliya, Emily, and those two young children who flew in from Chengdu to Kunming.

The progress of the case was faster than everyone anticipated.

In the face of irrefutable evidence, Uncle Ghost, whose real name was Li Shoutian, quickly had his psychological defenses collapse.

He not only disclosed the entire poaching gang’s member structure and fencing network but also, in order to seek leniency, provided a crucial piece of information that caught everyone off guard.

The mysterious sniper who was shot down by the bee-stinger drone was not a domestic outlaw.

He was a worker from Myanmar, with a surface identity as a regular employee hired by Uncle Ghost at a jade shop at the Ruili Port.

But his true identity was a professional assassin, whom Uncle Ghost had hired at great expense from overseas for a high salary.

His task was not to participate in poaching, but to provide absolute force protection during key moments of transactions and to eliminate any potential threats of exposure when necessary.

Sun Changji’s daughter, whom he had raised as a son, became the victim silenced under this insurance.

This confession elevated the nature of the case from being a major armed poaching case to a shocking case involving organized crime, international connections, and hired murder.

The subsequent in-depth investigation and arrests quietly unfolded throughout Yunnan, which was on a different level of battle that Lin Yu’an could no longer participate in.

The custody issue of the three hunting dogs, which Lin Yu’an was most concerned about, was also resolved thanks to the joint efforts of Liang Wenbin and the police.

After Lin Yu’an signed that thick Unlimited Liability Guarantee Letter and signed a training entrustment contract with the dog training base, temporary guardianship of the three dogs was officially transferred.

During this month, as long as Lin Yu’an was free, he would visit the dog training base located in the suburbs of Kunming.

He personally gave them new names. The steady black-backed Kunming Dog was named Kimberly, a kind of strong cocktail, spicy and powerful.

The two white Kishu Dogs, one male and one female, were named Rum and Shirley, both names representing strong spirits, symbolizing their inherent wildness.

After the chief dog trainer of the base conducted an initial assessment of the three dogs, a professional report was provided.

”Mr. Lin, these three dogs are even better than we expected,” said the dog trainer, his tone filled with the excitement of a professional.

”Their intelligence, physical fitness, and initial response to commands are far superior to that of ordinary dogs. However...”

His tone became grave.

”Their weaknesses are as pronounced as their strengths. Due to being used for brutal hunting for a long time, they have developed an extremely strong aggression towards other animals, which has become an instinct.”

”Any moving, non-human target—whether it’s the training rabbits at the base or birds flying in the sky—will immediately trigger their intense desire to chase.”

”The two Kishu Dogs are better; they just follow Kimberly’s commands. If it tells them to attack, they will.”

The dog trainer’s expression became extremely serious, ”The issue with the lead dog, Kimberly, is its obedience. It only obeys the humans it recognizes.”

”For those it doesn’t recognize, it ignores them. And towards any other animals, no matter the size, it is full of hostility and always ready to adopt a hunting stance, preparing to attack.”

Faced with this challenging report, Lin Yu’an did not back down. In the following three weeks, he devoted almost all his spare time to the transformation plans for these three dogs.

He did not use the conventional command and obedience-based training model used at the base.

Instead, he adopted a social reconstruction plan based on psychological guidance from top animal behaviorists in North America.

In the first week, he did not let the dog trainers contact them. He simply instructed the base to place the three dogs in three adjacent large kennels separated by wire mesh.

On the opposite side were some of the gentlest tempered dogs, such as Golden Retrievers and Labradors.

”Let them watch first.”

Lin Yu’an explained to the dog trainer, ”Let them watch every day how those dogs play, socialize, and interact with humans normally.”

In the second week, Lin Yu’an personally stepped in, becoming the first to walk into Kimberly’s kennel. He didn’t bring any training tools, simply sat quietly in the corner of the kennel, reading or pretending to nap.

Initially, Kimberly was full of fear and vigilance, making submissive whimpering sounds from its throat.

But Lin Yu’an completely ignored it, turning himself into a factor that wouldn’t cause any pressure.

For three whole days, he did this every day. By the fourth day, Kimberly finally let down its guard and, for the first time, took the initiative to come over and sniff Lin Yu’an’s hand with its wet nose.

At that moment, a bridge of trust truly began to form.

The third week was the most crucial desensitization training.

Under Lin Yu’an’s absolute control, Kimberly was, for the first time, led into the same training ground as a calm-tempered Labrador.

When Kimberly assumed an aggressive stance, Lin Yu’an would instantly stop it using a very firm but non-punitive method, then reward it with jerky for maintaining calm.
