King of the Wilderness

Chapter 723: Chapter 339: A New Career Journey!

Feeling Scoot’s hesitation, Lin Yu’an presented his last and most critical argument.

”Do you know how the local African people view this issue?”

”Many government officials and community leaders in African countries openly condemn the hypocritical superiority of the Western world. They call it eco-colonialism!”

”A group of people living in Europe and America, who never have to worry about their crops being trampled by elephants or their children being attacked by lions.”

”They sit in air-conditioned offices and use their moral standards to dictate how Africans should manage their land and resources.”

”They ban legal hunting, and what happens? Poaching becomes even more rampant.”

”Because for the locals, wildlife has turned from a valuable resource that can bring legal income into a trouble-causing beast with no value.”

”Scoot, I’ve researched this — the expensive fees paid for one legal hunt are enough to pay the salary and equipment of an entire anti-poaching patrol for a year.”

”This money will be used to protect entire species, to establish reserves. And the story I want to tell is this one, a story that Western leftist media intentionally ignore.”

”My camera will not only capture the chase but will also document how this money truly helps the local community and wildlife conservation.”

Scoot was stunned, his mouth opened, finding himself unable to refute. His breathing became rapid.

”Lin, you’re a genius... No, you’re a damn madman!” Scoot’s voice was filled with uncontrollable excitement.

But he quickly regained the composure and skepticism expected of a top agent, ”Wait, Lin, let’s both calm down for a moment.”

His speech speed increased instantaneously, shooting out a series of sharp, realistic questions: ”The learning curve for sailing! Lin, sailing isn’t wilderness survival; it’s a modern science!”

”Meteorology, fluid mechanics, mechanical maintenance, radio communication... Are you sure you can learn all this in a short time? Sponsors’ patience is limited!”

”And there are risks! On land, when you face danger, you can just press a button and the rescue team arrives.”

”But in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, once you encounter mechanical failure or get lost, who can save you? That’s not somewhere helicopters can fly! If something goes wrong, it’s a catastrophic disaster!”

”Your resume on sailing is completely blank! Zero! You don’t even have a diving license!”

”You want sponsors to invest in a ship costing millions or even tens of millions of US dollars for someone who can’t even raise a sail? Do you think they’re fools?”

”I can’t right now,” Lin Yu’an admitted candidly.

”What?”

”I said, I can’t right now,” Lin Yu’an’s voice was calm but filled with strong confidence, ”but this is precisely the biggest selling point of our new show!”

On the other end of the phone, Scoot was taken aback.

Lin Yu’an began his reverse marketing, ”Scoot, think about it, what did audiences watch in the previous ’Alone in the Wilderness’?”

”It was an already established model, how to survive in dire situations, and they wanted to see the results.”

”But this time, they’ll see a person become a god! They’ll see me start learning from the very basics, like tying knots.”

”This is an epic-level reality show of cultivation! Audiences will have an unprecedented sense of involvement!”

”They will accompany me, learning together, growing together, making mistakes together, ultimately, conquering that blue unknown world together!”

Scoot was somewhat convinced but still had some questions, ”Lin, how do you ensure that during these months of learning, you continue to produce content that is captivating enough?”

”The audience’s interest and the platform’s expectations need to be continuously maintained. You can’t have them just watching you chew through theory books for three months, right?”

Lin Yu’an laughed, ”Scoot, did you forget? The process of learning itself is the best story.”

”I will take the audience to visit shipyards, experience wind tunnel laboratories, learn diving skills... turning it into a reality show integrating industry, technology, sports, and adventure!”

”Lin...” Scoot’s voice contained nothing but astonishment after being completely convinced.

Every one of Lin Yu’an’s answers accurately dispelled each of his doubts, even cleverly turning the risks he mentioned into new commercial value and collaboration highlights.

”But that’s just at the content level, Scoot.” Lin Yu’an’s voice lowered, carrying a penetrating insight, ”Now, let me tell you the real commercial layout behind this.”

He paused, giving Scoot a moment to think, and then revealed the core: ”My new venture has never been just about sailing; it’s a combination of sailing and hunting.”

”One at sea, one on land, one symbolizing wealth and freedom, the other representing strength and conquest. Do you understand what this means?”

”This means my target audience will no longer be ordinary people seeking thrills in front of a screen.”

”My target is that tiny fraction of people at the top of the pyramid in this world! Those high-income groups who play with yachts, sailboats, private jets, and own hunting estates globally!”

”These people don’t watch influencer streams, but they’ll watch top-level competitions and the lifestyle they aspire to! Sailing is the ticket to their circle.”’
