King of the Wilderness

Chapter 720: Chapter 339: A New Journey in Business

Lin Yu’an picked up his phone and began handling the complicated tasks at work.

The first call he made was to his wives.

Almost instantly, the call was answered, and Aliya’s soft, slightly lazy voice came through the receiver: ”Darling? Oh my God, you’re... you’re back? Is everything okay?”

Hearing this voice, the softest part of Lin Yu’an’s heart was touched, and a gentle smile appeared on his face: ”Yes, darling, a bit earlier than expected. I’m fine, everything’s okay.”

Aliya’s voice was filled with joy, followed by a hint of concern, ”Did something happen? Why so early?”

From the other end, the faint sounds of a baby babbling and Emily gently soothing the children were heard.

Lin Yu’an knew that it was Emily and his twin children.

”It’s a long story, there was a bit of an unexpected event, but it’s all good news.” Lin Yu’an briefly explained what had happened, leaving out the most dangerous parts.

”I’m in Kunming now and can’t leave for a while as I need to coordinate with some police follow-up work.”

”Kunming?” On the other end, Aliya’s voice instantly became excited, ”We’re in Chengdu! We’ll come to Kunming to find you today!”

”Send me the hotel address, we’ll book the earliest flight right now, don’t go anywhere, just wait for us at the hotel!”

”Okay, okay! I’ll wait for you!” Lin Yu’an’s heart was filled with immense happiness.

”Mm, wait for us obediently.” Aliya’s voice turned soft again, full of affection.

She paused, seemingly remembering something, and reminded, ”By the way, darling, don’t forget to call Max and let her know you’re safe. I think she’s probably worried about you too.”

”Alright, I got it.”

”Love you, see you soon.”

”Mm, love you all, and be careful on the road.”

After hanging up the call, the warm smile on Lin Yu’an’s face lingered. Family was always the most solid support and best comfort to his heart.

He sat quietly on the sofa for a moment and then dialed Max from the contact list.

After a few faint static sounds, the call was quickly connected.

”Lin? Is that you?”

”It’s me, darling.” Lin Yu’an’s voice subconsciously softened, ”Sorry to make you worry. I’m fine, I’ve already ended the challenge ahead of schedule.”

”Wow, darling?” Her tone was filled with a hint of mischief and obvious delight, ”This is the first time you’ve called me that.”

This sudden intimate address gave her a moment of surprise, like a ray of brilliant sunshine on a long winter day.

But she did not indulge in it, instead instantly bringing the conversation back to a relaxed tone with her usual straightforwardness and humor.

”Seriously,” her tone then grew serious, showing her pragmatic side, ”are you alright? Ending a challenge early is not like you.”

Her concern was direct and frank, purely wanting to ensure his safety.

”Just a small incident, all resolved.” Lin Yu’an said lightly, and then quickly shifted the topic. ”I’m fine here, how are you and our ’kids’?”

This term made her laugh aloud again.

”There are plenty.” Her voice became light and vivid, ”First, there’s December, the little white rascal who’s currently strutting in the snow with a chair leg in his mouth.”

The scene of a fluffy white giant being mischievous instantly appeared in Lin Yu’an’s mind, making him unable to suppress a laugh.

”And Amber? Isn’t he sharing the spoils?”

”Oh, Amber disdains such physical labor.” Max’s tone was filled with pride, ”He focuses solely on eating, sleeping, and his chewing toys.”

Max paused for a moment, putting away all jokes, and her voice turned incredibly soft.

”Every day, December will lie and stare at the red rubber ball you gave him for a while, and Amber will accompany him too.”

”Lin, they miss you, and so do I...”

Her words made Lin Yu’an even more tender-hearted, ”After I finish things here, I’ll come back to see you all soon.”

”Good, we’ll wait for you.”

”Take care of yourself, and look after them too.”

”You too.”

After hanging up the call again, Lin Yu’an leaned on the sofa, his heart half-filled with the joy of soon reuniting with Aliya and Emily.

The other half was the longing for that figure far across the miles, and the two little ones.

He calmed his emotions and started dealing with the second most important task—the three hunting dogs.

Through Liang Wenbin’s connections, he quickly got the contact information of a professional dog training facility in Kunming City.

Once the call was connected, he straightforwardly explained the situation to the person in charge there.

”...So that’s the situation, these three dogs, a Kunming Dog and two Kishu Dogs, are all top-notch working breeds, but they were used on the wrong path.”

”I hope to personally fund and commission your facility to take them in after they fulfill their duty as evidence.”

The person in charge on the other end was clearly very surprised by this unique request but, after hearing Lin Yu’an’s introduction and the whole series of events, his tone immediately became extremely professional.

”Mr. Lin, rest assured! We’ve got this covered at our facility! We’ll not only provide them with the best placement but also assign the top dog trainers to take care of their psychological debriefing and behavior correction. As for the costs...”

”Cost is not an issue,” Lin Yu’an replied decisively, ”there’s no upper limit on the budget. I have only one request.”
