Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”You’re quite self-aware.”

Xu Yun said, ”When the fitness center officially opens, tell President Li that I said this: besides your regular salary, from now on, your commission for any customer you bring in will be raised to 30%.”

”Really? Thank you, President Xu.”

”Keep it up. I’ve been following your social media every day. Your figure is really getting better and better.”

Xu Yun teased, as he usually did, ”I wonder which lucky guy will get to have you in the future. I’m so jealous.”

”Right now, I’m just focused on helping President Li get the fitness center up and running.”

Zhang Jiaxin blushed and said, ”As for everything else, I haven’t really thought about it.”

”A career and a love life don’t have to conflict. You should think about it when the time is right. Do you have a type? If I run into anyone, I can introduce you.”

Zhang Jiaxin hesitated for a moment before answering, ”I want to find someone like you, President Xu. Handsome, a good person, and someone who dotes on others.”

”That might be a bit difficult.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”But, if by some chance I can’t find anyone, I’ll just have to offer myself up to you.”

”Really?” Zhang Jiaxin’s eyes lit up when she heard that.

”Just kidding.”

Xu Yun said, feigning seriousness, ”I’m your boss right now. Are you trying to sleep with me or something?”

”As long as the boss gives me a chance.”

Zhang Jiaxin laughed heartily. ”Would you be willing, boss?”

”Alright, alright, no more joking around with you.”

Xu Yun glanced at his watch and said, ”I need to go find President Li, too. If I’m late, I’ll miss out on a free meal.”

Watching Xu Yun’s departing figure, Zhang Jiaxin’s eyes flickered with thought.

She had seemed to be joking just now, but she was actually speaking from the heart, trying to test Xu Yun’s attitude.

From the looks of it, he hadn’t explicitly rejected her, which meant he probably had some good feelings toward her.

Xu Yun left the fitness center, returned to his residential complex, got in his Bentley, and headed for East Lake.

He was familiar with the roads there, as he went often.

Just as the streetlights began to turn on, Xu Yun arrived at his destination.

Although it was several notches below the nearby Crane Garden in terms of class, being located on the shore of East Lake, it was still a private kitchen restaurant with a decent environment and mid-range prices.

Xu Yun parked at the entrance and was led by a waiter to the private room where Li Jinshu was.

He knocked, then pushed the door open and walked in.

There were only two people in the room. One of them was, of course, Li Jinshu, and the other was the distributor.

’It’s a woman?’

This surprised Xu Yun.

He had thought Li Jinshu was having dinner with a man and had come over to ”catch a cheater.”

Xu Yun casually sat down next to Li Jinshu and greeted the other woman with a smile, ”Hello, beautiful. Sorry I’m late.”

”President Li, what’s going on?”

The woman asked, a bit confused, ”Who is he?”

”This is...”

Li Jinshu was also surprised by Xu Yun’s sudden appearance.

Just as she was about to introduce him, Xu Yun cut her off. ”I’m President Li’s boyfriend. My surname is Xu, and my name is Xu Yun. And how should I address you, beautiful?”

”Oh, hello. My surname is Yang. My name is Yang Siqi.”

When the woman heard he was Li Jinshu’s boyfriend, she smiled. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

”It’s a pleasure to meet you, too.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Since it’s our first time meeting, I didn’t bring a gift. All I have on me is this small gold bar. It’s for you. You can have some jewelry made with it or whatever.”

Yang Siqi: ”???”

Under her baffled gaze, Xu Yun took out a 100-gram gold bar and handed it to her.

He had found it earlier today when he was leaving Ning Qian’s place. He discovered one was still left in an old box and had casually slipped it into his pocket.

He only remembered it was there on the way over, and it just so happened to be useful now.

Yang Siqi was once again completely dumbfounded by Xu Yun.

’Who gives someone a gold bar the first time they meet?’

’Nouveau riche?’

’Besides, even if gifts were to be exchanged, I should be the one giving him something, not the other way around.’

’Is he trying to hint at something?’

Seeing this, Li Jinshu immediately reached out and took the gold bar back.

She gave Yang Siqi an embarrassed smile. ”President Yang, my boyfriend just likes to joke around. Please don’t mind him.”

”It’s fine, it’s fine. Your boyfriend is very humorous.”

Yang Siqi stood up, also a bit awkwardly. ”Since we’ve pretty much settled on the price, I won’t disturb you two any longer. I’ll have someone come over tomorrow to sign the contract with you. I’ll be leaving now.”

”Alright, President Yang.”

Li Jinshu said politely, ”I’ll see you out.”

”No, no, you should stay and accompany your boyfriend.”

After Yang Siqi left, Li Jinshu and Xu Yun didn’t stay much longer either and left the restaurant.

Sitting in Xu Yun’s car, she asked with a smile, ”Why did you suddenly come back? And how did you know I was eating here?”

”What, were you afraid I’d catch you cheating?”

Li Jinshu shot him a glare, a mix of embarrassment and anger. ”Who’s afraid of you? I have a clear conscience. You’re the one fooling around everywhere, so much that you don’t even want to come home anymore.”

”You got lucky.”

Xu Yun said with a smile, ”If the person with you had been a man when I came in just now, the consequences would have been very serious.”

”I know how petty you can be. If it had been a man, I wouldn’t have come.”

Li Jinshu asked, ”You’re back—do Susu and the others know?”

”No. I came to find you as soon as I got back.”

Xu Yun said, not entirely truthfully, ”See how much I care about you? Aren’t you touched?”

”Mhm, I’m super touched.”

Li Jinshu asked meaningfully, ”So, how do you want me to reward you right now?”

”To scowl in defiance of a thousand pointing fingers!”

Li Jinshu asked, confused, ”What does that mean?”

”And bow my head to be an ox for the children!”

Li Jinshu listened to the line, and it took her a moment to realize what Xu Yun meant. Her face instantly turned beet red.

This time, even the tips of her ears were red.

She righteously refused, ”No! You’re driving right now, it would be dangerous.”

”You’re being weird.”

Xu Yun feigned a look of confusion. ”I was just asking you to recite a famous quote from Zhou Shuren for me. What’s so dangerous about that?”

Li Jinshu: ”Huh???”
