Super Rich by Doing as You Please

So extravagant, so impulsive!

Sometimes, she really didn’t understand the world of the wealthy. She just couldn’t comprehend it.

’Maybe to people like them, money is just a number.’

After all, there was that story about Leibus complaining that during the most confusing and desperate time of his life, his bank account only had a cold, hard four billion.

Those words were a critical blow to the common man.

But they also became a legendary humblebrag!

Jian Shiwai asked Xu Yun curiously, ”May I ask how many grams of tea I’m holding?”

”Not much. Just 20 grams.”

Twenty grams...

Jian Shiwai did the math. This meant she was about to brew 3.5 million yuan worth of tea for Xu Yun.

She, who had always been confident in her tea-brewing skills, was suddenly under immense pressure, feeling unequal to the task.

She also suddenly felt that the tea set before her was somewhat unworthy of this tea’s prestige.

It deserved a top-of-the-line ”Spring Breeze Auspicious Jade” set.

”President Xu, this tea is too expensive. I’m afraid I’ll ruin it and fail to bring out its essence and flavor.”

Jian Shiwai said awkwardly, ”How about... I find a national-level tea master for you tomorrow?”

”You’re still better at it than I am, right?”

Xu Yun smiled and waved his hand. ”Just brew it casually, don’t feel any pressure. No matter how expensive, tea is meant to be drunk by people, isn’t it?

Besides, given your professional skill when you made tea for me the other day, you can’t be that bad.”

”Alright, I’ll give it a try then.”

It was Jian Shiwai’s first time brewing such expensive tea; it would be impossible to say she wasn’t nervous.

She had never prepared tea so meticulously before. From the first step to the last, her movements were slow and deliberate, paying attention to every single detail.

By the time she finished brewing the pot of tea, she was so nervous that her back was slick with sweat.

This single pot of tea was worth 3.5 million!

She lifted the serving pitcher, poured a cup for Xu Yun, and said, ”President Xu, please have a taste.”

”Alright.”

Xu Yun took it and took a sip. It was refreshing, with a smooth and sweet taste upon entry.

”Not bad at all.”

He smiled. ”Although I’m no tea connoisseur, I can tell this is good tea. You have some too.”

”President Xu, I’ll pass.”

Jian Shiwai politely declined with a smile. ”I can’t afford to drink such expensive tea.”

A single cup cost hundreds of thousands. Not everyone could stomach that.

”It’s more fun to enjoy things together than alone. Good things are meant to be shared to bring happiness.”

Xu Yun sat on the rocking chair, facing the river view, and said, ”If you don’t drink with me, what’s the point of me drinking all by myself?”

”Okay, then I’ll join you, President Xu, and see what this top-tier tea tastes like.”

Jian Shiwai poured a tiny cup for herself, sat down in the chair next to Xu Yun, took a delicate sip, and then placed it on the table between them.

’This all feels so unreal!’

One had to know, that renowned figure in the tea world had only ever drunk its ”tail water” (the liquor from the last few infusions) when he was an apprentice.

And for just that, he felt honored enough to brag about it to high heaven.

But here she was, drinking the very first, most authentic, and purest infusion!

Xu Yun smiled. ”How is it? I’d like to hear a professional’s evaluation.”

”It has a faint fragrance of osmanthus.”

Jian Shiwai savored the aftertaste and replied, ”The aroma is rich and long-lasting, and there’s also a clean fragrance and a sweet mellowness. It gives you a feeling of pleasantness.”

”See, you really are the professional.”

Xu Yun said self-deprecatingly, ”Unlike me, who only knows how to say two words after drinking it: ’It’s good.’”

As soon as he finished speaking, the sound of the system’s reward echoed in his mind.

[For tasting top-tier tea and enjoying a top-tier life, the Host has fulfilled the ’Do as You Please’ condition by bidding on the Mother Tree Da Hong Pao. Reward: 36,000,000 in cash.]

[Current Bank Account Balance: 103,000,000]

Hearing his balance, Xu Yun smiled.

’My savings have already passed a hundred million?’

’Excellent, excellent. From now on, I’m a man with over a hundred million in savings!’

Xu Yun was so happy he couldn’t help but take another sip. This time, he asked, ”By the way, didn’t you say you had something to tell me? What is it?”

”The representative from Eastern Airlines called me today. He said they wanted me to convey their apologies for the incident on the flight last time.”

Jian Shiwai replied, ”Regarding the resolution, they said they’ve already fired the person involved and have added you to their permanent platinum member list, which comes with all sorts of top-tier benefits.”

”Whatever. I don’t care about it anymore. You don’t have to worry about getting even for me either.”

Xu Yun said nonchalantly, ”I’m planning to buy a private jet in a little while. It’s more convenient. If you have any connections in that area, you can start looking for me.”

”Okay, I understand,” Jian Shiwai replied.

’Okay, my thinking was too small-minded.’

While she was still thinking about getting him compensation and benefits, he was already planning to ditch all the airlines and buy his own private jet.

After that, Xu Yun fell silent, just looking at the river view and slowly drinking his tea.

Seeing Xu Yun quiet, Jian Shiwai didn’t know what he was thinking, so she could only remain silent and drink tea with him.

With every sip, she thought about how many tens of thousands she had just drunk.

Just as she finished her cup, Xu Yun suddenly turned his head. ”I remember you said you were single, right?”

”Yes.”

’Jian Shiwai’s heart tightened. The tea was finished. Was it finally time to get to the main topic?’

Xu Yun asked again, ”In that case, if I asked you to take a long leave of absence from the bank to accompany me, would you be willing?”

”Um...”

Jian Shiwai’s face flushed upon hearing his words. ’I didn’t expect Xu Yun to be so direct!’

”If you need me to accompany you, President Xu, I can do it after work every day without taking leave.”

”No.”

Xu Yun explained, ”This time, we need to travel far away, and we won’t be back for a while.”

”Ah? Travel far? Where are we going?”

”I’m planning a spontaneous trip.”

Xu Yun said, ”I’ll go buy an RV tomorrow, pick a date, and then we’ll set off. I’m looking for a companion. Are you willing to come with me?”

”A trip?”

”Yes, a trip.”

Jian Shiwai asked, puzzled, ”President Xu, why are you asking me?”

”Because you’re single. The other women around me all have their own things to do and aren’t available.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”It was a spur-of-the-moment idea. If it’s not convenient for you, that’s fine too. I’ll just find someone else.”

”President Xu.”

Jian Shiwai said in a small voice, ”Can I go home and think about it first?”

”Of course, no problem.”

Xu Yun nodded. ”Just give me your answer tomorrow.”

”I will. I’ll be going then.”

Jian Shiwai bid farewell to Xu Yun. After getting in her car, her heart began to beat a little faster.

’An RV, a trip, a man and a woman, just the two of them...’

’Could their relationship possibly stay platonic on a journey like that?’

’We’re both adults. I shouldn’t lie to myself.’

’As I thought, there’s no such thing as a free cup of 3.5 million yuan tea.’

It wasn’t that Jian Shiwai was unwilling. She had already mentally prepared herself before she even came today.

Rather, she didn’t want to agree so readily and make Xu Yun think she was easy.

’Men love the feeling of conquest.’

’Instead of just throwing myself at him, it’s better to pretend to be conquered by him, little by little, during the journey ahead.’

’Even though the final result will be the same, the experience I provide him during the process will be completely different.’

These were little tricks she had learned from psychology books.

Now, she just wanted to put them into practice.

And as for Xu Yun?

He was already online, looking at all sorts of RVs.

He wasn’t some fresh college graduate.

The moment Jian Shiwai didn’t reject him on the spot, he already knew her answer.

’Women tend to be more reserved the first time.’

’Jian Shiwai’s stalling is just her wanting to play hard to get with me.’

Xu Yun decided to play along and watch her performance.

The reason he chose Jian Shiwai was exactly as he’d said: the women he currently had a connection with all had their own things to attend to.

And Jian Shiwai was, among the women he knew, a relatively suitable candidate.

Single, capable, beautiful, and her figure was incredible. She would be a great partner.

After all, poetry and distant horizons are beautiful, but seeking them alone would be a bit lonely.

So, since he had the means, why not bring someone along?
