Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xu Yun wasn’t a fan of red wine, but under the circumstances, not having any would have spoiled the mood.

Besides, even if he didn’t drink, Jiang Peiyao wanted to.

Xu Yun asked, ”How’s your brother?”

”He’s recovering very well. The doctor said if his condition remains stable with no relapse after another month of observation, he can be discharged. He’ll continue treatment with medication at home and can live a normal life.”

”So there’s no complete cure?”

”It’s extremely difficult. The best hope is to find a suitable bone marrow match. Only then is there a chance.”

Jiang Peiyao sighed. ”Unfortunately, mine wasn’t a match.”

”Don’t worry. As long as medication can manage it, that’s what matters. It’s just a question of money. If you can’t afford it, I’m here.”

Xu Yun smiled reassuringly. ”I might not have many other skills, but I’m good at making money.”

”Xu Yun, I owe you too much.”

”To put it bluntly, you’ve slept with me. That makes you my woman.”

Xu Yun said, ”And I’m always very good to my women. Very generous.”

As he spoke, he took a property deed from his bag. ”Did you know your house was auctioned off by the court?”

”I know.”

”Well, I bought it. Paid in full.”

Xu Yun handed the property deed to her. ”I’m giving it to you now. You keep it.

My name might be on it, but it’s still your house. When you go back, you can keep living there without worrying about a mortgage.”

”Okay... I understand.” Jiang Peiyao’s eyes reddened with emotion as she looked at the deed.

”Don’t cry. There are a lot of people here. You don’t want them to see you and laugh, do you?”

”Let them laugh. I don’t care in the slightest.”

Jiang Peiyao was completely enveloped in happiness. ”As long as you don’t look down on me,” she said, ”that’s all that matters.”

’In the past, whenever trouble arose, she had to shoulder it all alone. Sometimes she felt so helpless she wanted to die!’

’But things were different now.’

’No matter what happened, Xu Yun was there in front of her, handling everything. She didn’t have to worry about a single thing.’

’Xu Yun was like a ray of sunshine in her dark life.’

’Even though that sunshine wasn’t hers alone, it at least warmed her and gave her hope and something beautiful to look forward to in life.’

”I do look down on you.”

Jiang Peiyao was speechless.

While the two were chatting, the restaurant’s house singer finished a song and unexpectedly left the stage. An announcement was made that a guest from the audience wanted to sing for everyone.

Normally, something like this would never happen in a restaurant, but Xino had money on her side.

She had seen the setup when she came in to eat and got the sudden urge to sing a song.

She had called over the restaurant manager and, after some persuasion that involved a significant amount of money, he agreed to her unreasonable request.

Hearing that a guest was about to perform, Xu Yun and Jiang Peiyao looked over curiously.

A beautiful woman with short hair walked onto the stage, sat in the singer’s chair, picked up the guitar, and tested the microphone.

”Hi, everyone. I saw the guitar while I was eating and suddenly got the urge to sing.”

On stage, Xino smiled and said, ”If my singing gives anyone a bad experience, just let me know, and I’ll cover your bill as an apology.”

With that said, regardless of how well she could actually sing, her attitude was excellent and showed sincerity.

It also made one thing clear: this person was not short on cash.

This restaurant wasn’t cheap, with an average bill of around 200 per person. If she really ended up covering everyone’s tab, it would cost well over a hundred thousand.

Jiang Peiyao remarked with a sigh, ”That girl must come from a wealthy family. She can do whatever she wants. And she must really love to sing.”

Xu Yun was a little surprised to run into Xino here.

’What a coincidence.’

’Then again, this was just like her: free-spirited, doing whatever she pleased.’

Today, she was singing a folk song called ”Connection with the Universe’s Gentleness.”

”The setting sun has reddened the playground, twilight has sprinkled its sugar~”

”...”

”Never again did I see, a sunset so beautiful~”

”...

Xino’s gentle voice, tinged with a hint of regret, silenced the entire restaurant.

”She seems like a very gentle person at heart.”

Jiang Peiyao commented, ”She might be secretly in love with someone.”

”She’s not gentle in the slightest. Don’t let her fool you.”

Xu Yun looked away from the stage and asked her, ”Do you have any cash on you?”

”I do.”

”Give me a bill.”

Jiang Peiyao obediently took a one-hundred-yuan bill from her purse and handed it to Xu Yun.

Xu Yun beckoned to a nearby waiter.

The waiter walked over and asked with a smile, ”Hello, sir. How may I help you?”

”In a moment, please give this to the woman who was singing. Tell her it’s a tip from me and that she sang well.”

Xu Yun added, ”And remember to tell her to drink less and sing a happier song next time, or she might catch a case of the blues.”

The waiter was speechless.

Having done that, Xu Yun paid the bill and left the restaurant with Jiang Peiyao.

On the way, Jiang Peiyao asked curiously, ”Do you know her?”

”A friend.”

Xu Yun said with a smile, ”I didn’t expect to run into her here.”

”Aren’t you going to say hello?”

”No need.”

Xu Yun shook his head. ”Let’s go. We’ll visit your brother at the hospital, and then we’ll head home.”

”Okay.”

After Xino finished her song, she received unanimous praise from the audience, who all burst into applause.

She had just stepped off the stage when the waiter approached her. ”Miss,” he said, ”a guest asked me to give this to you.”

Xino looked at the one-hundred-yuan bill he was holding out, a little puzzled.

The waiter explained, ”He said you sang well, and this is a tip for you. He also said you should drink less and sing a happier song next time, or you might catch a case of the blues.”
