Super Rich by Doing as You Please

”How many women do you have?”

Faced with Xino’s question, Xu Yun retorted, ”Are you referring to girlfriends, or female friends?”

”There’s a difference.”

Xu Yun smiled and replied, ”I don’t have any girlfriends, but I have a lot of female friends.”

”So you’re saying you’re still single?”

Xu Yun replied, ”Yeah, what’s wrong? Are you interested in me?”

”No, no.”

Xino laughed. ”I’m not interested in you in the slightest.”

”What a shame. I was actually interested in you. I guess it’s just not meant to be.”

”...” Xino was speechless.

”Are you not going back to sleep?”

”I’m not.”

Xino looked Xu Yun up and down and said, ”Let’s go shopping this afternoon. I’ll take you to buy a new outfit. The one you’re wearing isn’t quite right for the gala. I’ll get something for myself too.”

”I don’t have any money.”

”Fine, fine, fine.”

Xino couldn’t help but roll her eyes at him. Speechless, she said, ”So cheap. I’ll buy it for you, alright?”

”Alright. Let’s go.”

Arriving at the garage beneath the Great Xia Hotel, Xu Yun felt a stir of excitement looking at the Ferrari 488 before him.

”You have a car in Rongcheng too?”

”No, it’s a friend’s. I borrowed it for a few days. It’s too inconvenient without a car.”

Xino asked, ”Are you driving, or should I?”

”You drive. If I scratch it, I can’t afford to pay for the damages.”

”...” Xino was speechless.

The moment the two of them drove out of the hotel, people from Eastern Airlines descended upon the hotel and knocked on Xu Yun’s door.

But there was no response.

He took his men to the front desk to ask if the guest had already checked out. Hearing that he hadn’t, the man breathed a sigh of relief.

The man had probably just stepped out.

The senior executive from Eastern Airlines this time was named Sun Bo. He called Xu Yun, hoping to schedule a meeting.

But as soon as the call connected, he only managed to say the two words ”Eastern Airlines” before the other party hung up and blocked his number.

He couldn’t get through again.

”...” Sun Bo was speechless.

The person in charge at Yudu, the same guy who had arranged the Yage, asked nervously, ”President Sun, he’s not answering your calls?”

”Isn’t this all your fault?”

Sun Bo shot the man an annoyed look and said, ”Look how passive you’ve made our position!”

”Uh...”

The middle-aged man said anxiously, ”President Sun, what do we do now?”

”What else can we do? You are to wait for him right here in this lobby. Don’t move until he comes back.”

Sun Bo continued, ”I happen to have a last-minute charity gala to attend tonight. You keep him here for me until I get back.”

”Yes, President Sun.”

After watching President Sun leave, the middle-aged man sat alone on a sofa in the lobby, waiting for Xu Yun to return.

If someone higher up hadn’t protected him this time, he would have likely been fired outright, not just demoted and put on probation.

But that was all contingent on him handling this matter well.

Otherwise, he’d still have to pack his bags and leave.

In the past, when the company faced similar situations, they were always handled his way, and nothing ever came of it.

If he had to blame someone, he could only blame his own bad luck for running into such a formidable character.

”Sigh.”

The man sighed. ”You can afford to fly on a private jet, so why didn’t you just take your private jet? Why did you have to screw me over like this!”

He watched the people coming and going in the lobby, terrified of missing Xu Yun.

In the Ferrari, Xino saw Xu Yun answer his phone only to quickly hang up. She asked curiously, ”What was that about? Another one of your female friends? Hung up so quickly because you were afraid I’d overhear?”

”No, it was someone from Eastern Airlines.”

”Calling to deal with, or negotiate, the issue of you being left behind?”

Xu Yun turned to look at her, confused. ”How did you know I was left behind by a plane?”

”Uh, I saw it on the news.”

Xino laughed, a little guiltily. ”Don’t you know how famous you are online right now? You’ve been a top trending topic all day.

Everyone’s guessing which wealthy family’s young master you are, or which high-ranking official’s son.”

”...” Xu Yun was speechless.

”So, what does your family actually do?”

Xino said, ”Just tell me. I promise I’ll keep it a secret.”

”I’m just an ordinary person. It’s not as exaggerated as they think.”

”Tch, fine, don’t tell me. I’ll find out sooner or later.”

If Xino really wanted to know, she could have hired a private investigator to slowly dig into his background.

But if he found out, he would be very put off by it.

It might even turn them into enemies.

After all, if the roles were reversed, she wouldn’t like that kind of behavior either.

Xino seemed quite familiar with Rongcheng. Without using her phone for navigation, she skillfully drove to an alleyway outside the city center.

After getting out of the car, she led Xu Yun to a tailor shop with a vintage feel. It was housed in a courtyard with three successive halls and entryways.

Inside, birds chirped and the air was filled with the fragrance of flowers.

As they walked, Xino explained, ”This tailor shop has been passed down through several generations. They specialize in private custom tailoring and their craftsmanship is excellent. My parents have many of their clothes custom-made here.”

”It can’t be cheap, can it?”

”Of course not. It’s much more expensive than those so-called luxury brands outside. Everything is purely handmade.”

Xino said with a hint of disdain, ”Everyone says our country doesn’t have its own luxury brands, but actually, we have plenty, and they’re frighteningly expensive.

”But because they can’t be mass-produced, they haven’t been commercialized. Plus, they don’t do much advertising and only circulate within certain exclusive circles, so they aren’t well-known to the general public.

”Besides, there are many fine things that money alone can’t buy.”

Following Xino’s introduction, she and Xu Yun arrived in the main hall of the small courtyard.

The interior was entirely decorated in a traditional Chinese style, resembling the reception hall of an ancient Prince Mansion, but with the addition of some modern furniture.

Xu Yun asked in confusion, ”Why is no one here?”

”Be patient. They’re probably busy.”

Xino called out loudly and affectionately, ”Grandma Qin~ You have guests!”

”Coming, coming!”

A kind voice came from the next room, and then an elderly woman with graying hair, who looked to be in her sixties, walked out.
