Super Rich by Doing as You Please

They also told him they would notify him via text message or in person when the flight was about to take off.

Afraid of being discovered, Xino didn’t dare stay in the same room as Xu Yun and went to the one next door instead.

She planned on revealing herself at Rongcheng International Airport to give him a little surprise.

Bored, Xu Yun started watching a soccer match on the video wall in the VIP lounge. It was a World Cup qualifier.

The national team was playing against some other country.

Xu Yun wasn’t interested in soccer, let alone the national team, but with nothing else to do, he decided to watch it to kill time.

He wondered just how many goals these pampered players would end up losing by.

By the time Xu Yun had finished the match—in which the national team advanced from the group stage on sheer luck—no one had come to get him. He decided to check his flight status, and what he saw gave him a shock.

The app on his phone showed that the flight had already taken off.

’It took off?’

Xu Yun was dumbfounded.

He got up and went to the airport information desk to ask about his flight. The staff member told him they would notify him the moment his flight was ready to depart.

’Notify my ass! The plane’s already gone!’

Then Xu Yun saw two more passengers, and then a third, all of whom had experienced the same thing.

None of them had received any notification in the waiting lounge.

Meanwhile, on the plane that had already taken off, Xino was also dumbfounded when she realized Xu Yun still hadn’t boarded.

She called over a flight attendant and asked, puzzled, ”What about the man who was supposed to be sitting diagonally across from me? Why isn’t he here?”

The flight attendant was speechless.

Her expression changed. ’Oh no,’ she thought, ’a first-class passenger didn’t board the plane!’

The flight attendant immediately reported the situation to the purser. The purser, upon learning this, immediately contacted the airline’s manager at Yudu International Airport.

After taking the call, the manager learned about the four abandoned passengers, including Xu Yun.

The manager for Eastern Airlines arrived, found Xu Yun and the other three passengers, and began apologizing while trying to negotiate a solution.

Since there were no more direct flights from Yudu to Rongcheng, and the other three passengers had urgent business and had to be in Rongcheng that day, the final solution was for Eastern Airlines to arrange a private car to drive them there.

Faced with this subpar solution, everyone reluctantly accepted.

Xu Yun wasn’t in a hurry. ’A car ride is fine,’ he thought. ’It’s only two or three hours anyway.’

But after waiting for over ten minutes, a Hyundai Yage rideshare pulled up in front of them.

Xu Yun glanced at the other three men, all of them large and pot-bellied, and he practically exploded with anger on the spot.

’How the hell are we all supposed to fit in there?’

’So after all that talk, this is the best Eastern Airlines can do? This is their attitude?’

The other three men were in a hurry. Though they were angry and unhappy with Eastern Airlines’ arrangement, they had no choice but to compromise for the time being.

After all, their work was more important.

But Xu Yun wasn’t having it. He refused outright.

”If Eastern Airlines is so broke it can’t even afford a proper van, I’ll arrange it myself!”

With that, Xu Yun called Jian Shiwai.

Jian Shiwai had just gotten off work. When she saw the call was from Xu Yun, her heart skipped a beat. ’Don’t tell me he wants to start learning how to brew tea with me tonight?’

With some trepidation, she answered, ”Hello, President Xu.”

”I’m in Yudu right now. Can you arrange a plane to Rongcheng for me as soon as possible?”

”A charter flight?”

”Yes.”

”Of course. I’ll make some inquiries and get back to you right away.”

The Eastern Airlines employee and the three other passengers stared at Xu Yun, completely dumbfounded.

’Did he just ask someone to arrange a plane for him?’

The rideshare driver looked at the passengers on the curb. ”Are you guys coming or not?”

”We’re not going.”

”Then remember to cancel the trip.” Seeing the four large men, the driver hadn’t wanted to take the fare anyway. He stepped on the gas and sped off.

Jian Shiwai was incredibly efficient. Not even a minute later, her call came through.

”President Xu, a charter is available. It’s a Gulfstream, and there’s a flight path open. I’ve already booked it. You can take off in twenty minutes.”

”Great. Understood, thank you.”

Xu Yun hung up and turned to the other three passengers. ”If you’re in a hurry, you can board with me. The plane takes off in twenty minutes.”

”Huh? Oh! Yes, of course.”

Overjoyed, the three men immediately followed Xu Yun toward the boarding gate.

At the gate, an airport staff member rushed over and began processing their paperwork through a separate channel.

The Eastern Airlines employee watched Xu Yun and the others walk away, still somewhat dumbfounded.

’He arranged a private jet with a single phone call?’

’It’s over. I’ve pissed off a VIP.’

He immediately reported the incident to his manager. The moment the manager heard, he knew they were in deep trouble.

He then looked up Xu Yun’s information in their system. Holy cow. The man was a private banking card holder.

’Jeez, a customer like that... he couldn’t afford to offend him.’

The manager at Yudu International Airport immediately tried to remedy the situation by calling Xu Yun.

The first call went through but was immediately disconnected. The second time he called, it wouldn’t connect. Every subsequent attempt met a busy signal.

’No doubt about it,’ he thought. ’I’ve been blocked.’

Back in the terminal, Xu Yun had seen the incoming call from Eastern Airlines, blocked the number, and swore he would never fly with their airline again.

Led by a shuttle, Xu Yun and the three other passengers boarded the charter flight to Rongcheng.

Onboard, a single, beautiful flight attendant was there to serve just the four of them. Red wine, coffee, snacks, and all sorts of gourmet food were available—they wanted for nothing.
