The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 222: Chapter 222: Want to Trick into Marriage?

Song Ci had just finished washing up and sat down on the Arhat bed when the little rascal stormed in with great commotion.

”Why are you in such a rush, is there a ghost chasing you?” Song Ci clicked her tongue reproachfully.

Song Zhiyu paused his steps, speechless: ”Mother, you always say you hate hearing about ghosts and such, but now you mention it yourself.”

Song Ci said shamelessly, ”I don’t like it when others say it, but I can say it myself.”

Song Zhiyu: ”...”

Alright, alright, you’re the boss, I concede.

Nanny led two maids in with tea and stood beside Song Ci with a fan for cooling.

Song Zhiyu picked a wild fruit from the small table and said, ”Mother, which family is that Old Madam Wei looking at potential matches with today?”

Song Ci was taken aback: ”Why are you asking this?”

”Answer me first.”

”The eldest son of the Marquis Weiyuan’s household, what’s his name, Nanny?” Song Ci momentarily forgot the young man’s name.

Nanny said, ”His name is Wei Cheng.”

”Right, right, Wei Cheng.” Song Ci slapped her thigh and said, ”I’m not bragging, but that Wei Young Master does have a certain suave gentlemanly demeanor, polite and courteous to others, with an earnest look. Though illegitimate, he has his own talents. If his character matches his appearance, he wouldn’t be a bad groom.”

”Bah!”

Song Zhiyu spat as if nauseous.

Song Ci’s face darkened: ”What’s the matter, are you upset because I praised others which touched a nerve on your mediocrity?”

Song Zhiyu was not annoyed, simply chuckled: ”Mother, even if I’m not talented, I’m still a proper man, who believes in the balancing of yin and yang, not a scoundrel indulging in ’Longyang love’.”

Longyang love?

Song Ci didn’t react immediately, but Nanny’s face changed, her fanning hand paused, blurting out: ”Young Master, you mustn’t speak such words carelessly.”

”Why would I be talking carelessly, I saw it with my own eyes. Right, I remember where I heard it before, Bao Datong knows too, even bet me on this. Oh, it’s that Bao Chengxuan from the Vice Minister of War’s family, he said the same thing.” Song Zhiyu rolled his eyes, thus recalling Wei Cheng.

Nanny saw that Song Zhiyu was not pretending, and couldn’t help but look shocked: ”Old Madam?”

Song Ci finally grasped the situation.

And as she thought about it, she suddenly panicked, saying: ”No way? That Wei Cheng looked pretty normal, and...”

As she spoke, she ran out of words, being ’bent’ didn’t necessarily mean effeminate... If the other party was also bisexual, then there’d be even fewer clues.

But whether there were clues or not, if he was that kind of person, wouldn’t that mean trying to scam in marriage?

Damn, shameless scoundrel!

”Tell me, what’s really going on?” Song Ci couldn’t stand these bent people who deceive in marriage, she was not biased against ’Longyang love’, but deceiving in marriage was not right.

And she thought highly of Wang Qiuman as well, the girl’s fate was already wrought with misfortune, if she encountered such a thing, it would really be a tragedy upon tragedy.

Song Zhiyu didn’t hide anything and narrated what he had seen.

”Could it be a misunderstanding?” Nanny asked hesitantly.

”Even if I was mistaken, it doesn’t matter, this can be investigated. If not for my mother and Old Madam Wei being on good terms, I wouldn’t care who is with whom, it’s none of my business.” Song Zhiyu finished speaking, stood up, and said: ”Mother, I’m leaving now, how to handle this is up to you.”

Nanny watched him leave, then looked at Song Ci: ”Old Madam, what do you think?”

What a situation this is.
