The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 219: Chapter 219 You Are Not an Outsider to Me

Song Zhiyu angrily walked towards the Zen Temple, cursing Wang Qiuman and her servants for being ungrateful. If it weren’t for his mother and Lady Wei, would he be the one spreading this gossip?

You really can’t be kind without reason.

Muttering to himself as he walked forward, suddenly a gust of wind knocked him over.

”Ah, which bastard sneak attacked me?”

Song Zhiyu fell hard on the ground, looking up to see a guard with a blackened face in a pushing stance.

Ha, isn’t this the guard from that tomboy’s side?

”Jade Lover?”

Niu Pan’er peeked out from behind the guard, her eyes curving into a smile upon seeing Song Zhiyu.

Song Zhiyu shivered and got up from the ground: ”It’s you again, how come you’re everywhere I go? Seeing you is just bad luck for me!”

The guard Yuan Yi’s eyelid twitched: ”You brat, don’t be rude!”

Swoosh, his long sword was unsheathed.

Song Zhiyu was so frightened he took a few steps back, stammering: ”Don’t, don’t act rashly, this is a temple, if I shout, people will come.”

What a mess, he didn’t like having people follow him, so when he sent his nephew off, all the guards were assigned to their side.

This black-faced guard might slice his throat!

”Yuan Yi.” Niu Pan’er patted the guard’s arm and walked up to Song Zhiyu, smiling: ”Sorry about that, my guard thought there was an assassin and mistakenly pushed you over.”

”You’re messing with me, right? If he thought there was an assassin, he should’ve drawn his sword.” Song Zhiyu glanced at the long sword at Yuan Yi’s waist.

”It was all a misunderstanding, shall I apologize on his behalf?” Niu Pan’er clasped her hands.

Yuan Yi couldn’t understand why the Commandery Princess was so patient and tolerant with this pretty boy, when at first she called him an idiot.

Could it be because this pretty boy is handsome?

Yuan Yi’s gaze turned to Song Zhiyu.

This pretty boy is actually just showing off, coming to the temple dressed like a peacock. The Dragon Ball on his Jade Crown is as big as a finger, a few wallets and Jade Pendants hung from his waist. His face, couldn’t it be powdered? It looked so fair and tender.

Yuan Yi shuddered, a man more fair and tender than a woman, simply unbearable.

Though Song Zhiyu is a dandy, he’s not unreasonable. He wouldn’t dare let her apologize. Upon seeing the distance just now, he reckoned it was his fault for not watching carefully, nearly colliding, which must be why the guard pushed him.

”I wouldn’t dare let you, Commandery Princess, apologize. If my mother knew, she’d probably twist my ear off. Forget it, I’ll be the bigger person, and not hold a grudge against you.” Song Zhiyu put on a magnanimous expression of forgiving you.

Niu Pan’er’s eyes curved even more: ”Then I’ll accept your magnanimity, Jade Lover.”

Song Zhiyu’s mouth twitched: ”Don’t keep calling me Jade Lover, we’re not close. If people hear it, what about my reputation, I mean, my name.”

”But that’s what outsiders call you.”

”That’s outsiders, you’re not one.” Song Zhiyu blurted out, then realized it sounded wrong. Not an outsider, did that mean an insider? The more he spoke, the more confused it got, so he said: ”Forget it, what are you doing here?”

Niu Pan’er’s smile faded somewhat, and she said: ”My mother’s longevity tablet is offered here, I’m here to pay respects.”

Song Zhiyu was momentarily stunned, feeling like he’d touched a sore spot. He felt restless, wanting to find some words to gloss over it.

”Since you’re here, I suppose the Lady Dowager might be too? I should go and pay my respects to her elderly self.” Niu Pan’er defused his awkwardness with a sentence, smiling as she invited: ”Shall we go together?”
