I AM the Football Star

Chapter 99: Chapter 40: You Can Bully Inter Milan Youth Training, But You Can’t Bully San Remo Players

As time passed, more and more players entered the field.

Lu Yang and Morici took a photo together by the field before heading inside.

After all, as members of a small team, the biggest stadium they had previously visited was the Marassi Stadium used jointly by Genoa and Sampdoria in Serie A.

But that stadium obviously couldn’t compare to the grandeur of Juventus Stadium.

To celebrate Morici growing 2cm taller, Lu Yang opened five random gift packs, leaving only two.

He wanted to see if he could open a height reward and amaze Morici once again.

But unfortunately, there was nothing noteworthy among them.

Yes, Lu Yang’s perspective had long been elevated.

With superstar-level skills, he already looked down on these five player-level skills.

Defensive feints: Use feints to deceive the opponent, inducing them to attempt offensive breakthroughs, thereby increasing interception chances.

Interception feint: Use feints to deceive the opponent’s pass, thereby increasing interception chances.

Defensive positioning: Allows you to be more keen in judging defensive positions.

Leg stretching interception: Increases interception chances.

Antagonistic defense: Enhances your chances of stealing the ball during confrontations.

With an explosion of five defensive skills, Lu Yang almost spit out a gulp of salted soda on Morici.

Morici really is toxic!

But when Lu Yang looked at his tackling and interception stats, he was stunned.

Due to the influence of these five skills, his tackling and interception stats had both reached 72!

Breaking 70 in a single skill means Lu Yang’s abilities in these two aspects have already reached the basic level of the Five Major Leagues.

In any case, there’s no need to worry about San Remo’s defense next season.

Latu Yidi is already a defensive powerhouse, and now Lu Yang’s defensive capabilities have been further enhanced.

Lu Yang could only mourn for the attacking players in the Italian Third Division.

Tremble!

I’ll admit defeat if you even manage to shoot!

Lu Yang and Morici then entered the field, where more than thirty players had already arrived.

Some players were playfully handling the soccer with their feet. Although they didn’t know what they would face later, warming up in advance is never a bad idea.

Moreover, with many cameras around capturing everyone’s footage constantly, showcasing one’s ball feel might attract some fans.

Do whatever looks cool, fancy, and pleasing to the eye.

Of course, some players either weren’t good at fancy footwork or didn’t care for pleasing the audience this way, so they’d gather in small groups, chatting and laughing.

After all, most of the players here either came from elite youth academies or were on loan to Serie B clubs. They were basically part of the same circle, knew each other, and naturally had things to talk about.

And on the field, it was easy to see certain areas with more people gathered.

Those were the five S-level players and their surroundings, destined to make the final eighteen-man list and possibly start among the eleven. Cooperating well with them would greatly increase one’s chances of being selected.

Of course, where there are those who conform, there are also those who don’t.

For instance, the new addition to San Remo, Bai Zhami, stood coolly aside, not caring for anyone.

But keeping to oneself doesn’t mean there won’t be trouble.

A player wearing an Inter Milan jersey approached Bai Zhami.

Without a doubt, the opponent was from Inter Milan’s youth training.

Many people around were watching this Inter youth player and Bai Zhami, expecting some drama.

Soon, the Inter Milan youth player began arguing with Bai Zhami.

Bai Zhami directly pushed the other away, even making a gesture as if he wanted to fight.

The crowd, which had been watching the drama, immediately rushed up and pushed Bai Zhami away, surrounding him.

The leader of this group was Aguirre, recognized as the strongest player in this training camp!

”Hey, Bai Zhami, don’t take jokes seriously. You guys have played together for two years after all.” Aguirre acted like an older brother, but the smile on his face was unsettling.

”I don’t consider this a joke. I hate it when people joke about my skin color and my father.” Bai Zhami said emotionally.

The other party insulted him and made jokes about his father.

As a black child, Bai Zhami had the misfortune yet typical situation of having a deadbeat father. He didn’t even know his father’s name, and his father might not even know he had a child named Bai Zhami.

Because of this, it became a taboo for most black players with similar experiences.

”I said it was a joke, so it’s a joke. You shouldn’t have made a move, apologize, or I can’t guarantee what might happen to you during the training!” Aguirre wielded the authority of an older brother, as if trying to seek justice for his Inter junior.

But anyone with eyes could see they were bullying Bai Zhami.

Don’t ask why there are such silly things.

And don’t think it’s irrational or unreal.

Because such stupid things are happening in many teams in reality, and they happen repeatedly.

It might be related to some players having low education levels, unsuccessful careers needing an outlet for emotions, and so on.

In short, there are really a lot of idiots.

Besides Aguirre’s group, there were other players around, but everyone mostly just watched without other reactions.

They knew of Bai Zhami as a difficult person to get along with, so they had no need to offend Aguirre for his sake.

After all, the latter was truly a player in Serie A!
