I AM the Football Star

Chapter 77: Chapter 32: Promotion! We’re Just Friends_2

Franca Villa took the lead with 73 points and made it into the top five.

They seized their own destiny, defeating the strong as the weak!

Throughout the season, they never surpassed Bisceglie’s ranking, not even on equal points as Bisceglie would edge them out. But in the final round, they unexpectedly overtook them.

Such drama made the Italian D Division boil.

After these matches, the Italian D Division promotion list is out.

Tulis, San Remo, and Palermo are promoted directly.

Franca Villa and Catania have to play in the promotion playoffs, with the winner facing the loser of the Italian Third Division relegation playoffs. The winner moves up to the Italian Third Division, and the loser falls to the Italian D Division!

And in tomorrow’s match, Tulis and a pressure-free San Remo will face each other in a championship battle!

Although promotion is already assured, having come this far, no one will say no to the championship.

...

The next day, in the morning, Lu Yang and the team conducted their final training on the practice field.

The intensity wasn’t high, mainly to activate their bodies and maintain match readiness.

To ensure the team could focus on training, Sotu specifically requested that the training ground be locked down, forbidding any outsiders from entering.

But soon, the field administrator came to the training ground.

”Someone wants to see Lu Yang,” the administrator said.

”No,” Sotu decisively declined.

”But she said she won’t leave without seeing Lu Yang,” the administrator said, a bit speechless.

”Who?” Sotu frowned, thinking it might be some fanatic fan. How inconsiderate of the team’s feelings!

”I don’t know, she’s wrapped up very tightly,” the administrator said.

Sotu shook his head, ”Then she definitely can’t be let in.”

Just as he finished speaking, a shadow emerged on the wall of onlookers.

Someone had climbed over and was running towards the training ground.

The players on the field were furious!

Perhaps if this had happened a month ago, they would be happy, as no one used to pay attention during their trainings, let alone fans going so far as to climb over the walls.

But now... they’re preparing for the championship!

They shouldn’t be disturbed...

Soon, the players on the field had no objections.

Because the person running towards them had removed her hat and face scarf while running.

Beautiful!

All the players were stunned!

This is a super beauty!

Wait a minute!

Why does she look so familiar?

Morici’s expression instantly turned serious and then even more heartbroken.

It’s her!

The red-boned skeleton!

Why is she here?

Wasn’t she supposed to be with the crew for three to five months?

Soon, the other players realized too.

”Oh my God! Is that Sofia?”

”It really is! It is Sofia!”

”Wow! Goddess! What’s going on?”

”Is the club so extravagant? Did they invite Sofia to cheer for us?”

”Crazy! I feel like I’m going crazy!”

”I’m suddenly full of fighting spirit! Never mind Tulis, I even dare to face Juventus now!”

”I even feel like I’m Superman at this moment!” Vedian said confidently.

But the next moment...

”Lu Yang! I specifically took leave from the crew to watch your championship game, and they didn’t let me in!” Sofia complained while charging towards Lu Yang, looking every bit like a little girl.

Seeing that it was Sofia, Lu Yang stretched out his arms to avoid letting Sofia’s initiative fall into emptiness and thus causing an awkward atmosphere.

Then...

Sofia crashed into him with the ball, committing a serious foul!

If Sofia hadn’t also hugged Lu Yang, he felt he would have been knocked flying.

Such power!

36D, no explanation needed!

Watching Sofia and Lu Yang tightly embraced, everyone on the field suddenly felt disenchanted.

To hell with football!

The goddess has run off with someone else!

Not playing anymore!

Concede, okay!

”I even think you’re a clown at this moment!” Naji touched Vedian’s head, mourning for him.

”Bastards!” Morici said with resentment!

”Hey, little buddy over there, do you remember me? I forgot to say thank you last time after you served me wine,” Sofia looked at Morici.

”No need, no need, it was my duty,” Morici responded quickly, but after speaking, he wished he could slap himself twice, feeling too unassertive, wishing he had dared more.

”Good, I was worried it left a bad impression on you,” Sofia said, holding onto Lu Yang’s arm. ”Lu Yang always mentions you when he’s with me, saying you’re a very talented player.”

Morici was instantly excited, ”Really? What exactly did he say?”

Lu Yang quickly pulled Sofia aside and said to Morici, ”Let it go, let it go, don’t ask, we’ll talk later.”

Morici: ”Hey, buddy, Sofia was talking to me, you should be more polite, or how can you match Sofia?”

It had to be said, Sofia was very satisfied with this statement from Morici.

This pretty much confirmed her relationship with Lu Yang in a roundabout way.

So Sofia graciously imitated Lu Yang’s tone, ”Don’t be fooled by that little shorty’s unremarkable appearance, but his skills are really good...”

The rest of the content Morici couldn’t hear anymore.

Because he was busy pinning Lu Yang to the ground.

Back to business.

Sofia’s appearance somewhat affected San Remo’s preparations.

But considering that San Remo is already destined to advance, this kind of influence is actually good.

She greatly encouraged San Remo’s players.

See, as long as you play as hard as Lu Yang, you’ll have a chance to find your own girlfriend, or even a female celebrity!

Despite Lu Yang’s repeated clarifications that he and Sofia are just normal friends.

Sofia’s shy smile still conveyed everything clearly.

”Lu is very good; in order to protect Sofia’s reputation, he is willing to tell his friends that Sofia is just a friend,” Sotu said, deeply moved, ”Those scoundrels in Serie A play a few games and think they’re stars, running around dating young models, afraid others won’t know they’ve snagged a well-known girl.”

Tom nodded frequently, ”It’s just their age gap is a bit much; Sofia’s twenty-eight, Lu’s only sixteen, this...”

Sotu asked, ”Do you think Lu looks like a sixteen-year-old kid?”

Tom: ”I’d believe he was twenty-six if you said so!”

Sotu continued, ”Likewise, do you think Sofia looks twenty-eight?”

Tom teared up, ”In my heart, Sofia will always be eighteen!”

Sotu: ”There you go. Let’s hope they can be happy, but that will depend on whether Lu can handle Sofia. Relationships with female stars often struggle to be stable...”

Tom laughed, ”Seems like you speak from deep experience; at your age, you’re still unmarried, maybe you never got over your thing with Trish back then...”

Trish, one of Italy’s well-known actresses.

She had a brief romance with Sotu, but later on, she cheated on him.

Tom couldn’t finish the sentence because Sotu pinned him to the ground.

...

The morning training ended very early.

Sofia left the training ground in the staff’s car and entered the stadium early in the afternoon.

She received the best seating in the stadium.

The team chairman Russell, upon learning Sofia was at the stadium, eagerly invited her to watch from a VIP box. But Sofia refused; she picked a seat closer to the field.

”Only here can Lu Yang hear my cheers and calls for him!”

Listen to that, is that even human speech!

Russell admitted he was a bit envious.

Of course, besides Sofia, today’s match would have many other heavyweight guests arriving.

This related to San Remo’s legendary journey this season.

And it was also related to the Russell Group’s plan to build a new stadium.

And related to Sotu, Lu Yang, Morici, Vedian, and others.

Rumor even had it that over thirty domestic media outlets were on-site, broadcasting the match live. Among them were eight national-level major media and two all-European major media.

Interest didn’t come just from the Liguria Region, nor just from Italy; even some European fans were focused on this little Italian D Division match!

One has to say, this brought something different to Italian Football.
