I AM the Football Star

Chapter 72: Chapter 30: Seeking Serie A Superstars!_3

”Substitute? Pay cut? Latu Yidi won’t accept those terms, he has six children, do you know what that means? Six euro-making machines!”

”What about Serie B then? Isn’t Serie B better than Italian Third Division?”

”Honestly, with similar salaries, Italian Third Division has much less pressure than Serie B. The competition in the promotion zone of Serie B isn’t much less intense than Serie A. Latu Yidi has already passed the stage of seeking exposure and wants to spend more time with his family.”

”Don’t forget, the head coach of San Remo is Sotu! Back in the day when the ’Milan Butcher’ Sotu was playing, Latu Yidi was the little junior of his little juniors, just a small substitute player! His influence is immense among this batch of Milan people.”

”San Remo’s chairman Russell is actually very wealthy, it’s just that San Remo hasn’t lived up to his heavy investment. Now that he’s hired Sotu, it’s obvious he’s planning to make a big move.”

”I heard San Remo has also pursued several Serie A players, including a young right winger from Rome, Bechir Ajilal.”

”Ajilal? No way! Although Ajilal has been just a substitute right forward this season, any player who can play in Serie A at 23 is top-tier. There’s no way he’s leaving Serie A. Even if he’s to be loaned out for experience, it should be to Serie B or the Portuguese Super League, Eredivisie, Ligue 1, or the Bundesliga!”

”It’s said that Lazio’s backup central defender Anuar Ayala is also one of their targets, but it’s equally unlikely for Ayala to leave Lazio. He’s probably going to retire there?”

The transfer market is experiencing turmoil for the first time because of a ”Little Bee.”

An Italian Third Division team actually dares to covet Serie A players, which is something no one expected.

Especially since this team might not even get promoted to the Italian Third Division.

...

”Those arrogant Saint Remo People!”

”So conceited, does having money make you great?”

”You can’t even get out of Italian D Division, yet you want Serie A players!”

On the football pitch, the fans of the Ternana team, who are under no relegation pressure, were very excited.

Everyone agreed to be as bad as dogs, but you secretly used glossy oil!

This severely bruised their self-esteem.

Just like the emotion Morici felt when he saw Sofia having a close relationship with Lu Yang.

In the thirty-seventh round of the Italian D League, San Remo was away against Ternana.

The latter currently ranks eleventh, with no hope of promotion, but no worries about relegation.

To be honest, this kind of team is the easiest to play against at this stage.

However, San Remo was hit with injuries to three key players in succession: the right winger, right midfielder, and right central defender, almost an entire central axis.

This made their defense very unstable.

On the other hand, the news about the team’s signings was all over the place, affecting the players to some extent.

After promotion, San Remo is bound to optimize its team roster.

At that time, how many of this season’s players will still be there next season is a big question.

This severely affected San Remo’s competitive state.

Five minutes before halftime ended, San Remo’s right wing was penetrated by the opponent.

The opponent’s winger directly charged into San Remo’s penalty area and made a chipped shot.

San Remo’s goalkeeper performed excellently, saving the shot, but was immediately followed by the opponent’s central forward who scored on the follow-up shot. Ternana miraculously led by one goal!

The legend of San Remo, on the verge of taking the last step, suddenly collapsed.

If they lose this match, San Remo will likely miss out on direct promotion to the Italian Third Division and will have to play in the promotion playoffs instead.

Take one step further, and the world opens up; take one step back, and it’s a steep cliff.
