I AM the Football Star

Chapter 93: Chapter 38: Winds Rising Over Sunshine City, San Remo Wields the Checkbook

”Milan’s Star Latuidi Transfers to San Remo!”

”Heartfelt! Latuidi Transfers Free, Milan Bids Farewell with Love!”

”Building an Italian Third Division Little Milan! San Remo Takes on Latuidi’s Million Euro Annual Salary, Becomes the Richest Team in the Italian Third Division!”

”Sotu: Welcome My Good Brother to Join, We Will Lead San Remo to the Next Phase Together!”

”Latuidi: Sotu Told Me We Will Only Stay in the Italian Third Division for One Year!”

”Latuidi: Many Factors About San Remo Moved Me, Sotu’s Invitation Was Crucial. But What Decided Everything Was Seeing San Remo’s Last Game of the Season With My Own Eyes!”

”Latuidi: I’ve Never Seen a Player Like Lu Yang, Sotu Hopes I Teach Him More, But He’s Already Doing Better in Many Aspects Than I Did Back Then!”

”Italian Third Division Supernova Lu Yang: I Grew Up Watching Latuidi Play, He’s One of My Football Idols, I Really Like His Playing Style, It Guided Me!”

A Serie A Star Transferring to the Italian Third Division is Undoubtedly This Year’s Biggest News in the Italian Third Division Transfer Market.

Moreover, Latuidi Did Not Cut His Salary, His Annual Salary is One Million Euros!

This Exceeds the Total Value of Many Italian Third Division Teams.

Latuidi Alone is Comparable to the Total Value of Several Italian Third Division Teams.

Regarding This Transfer, Everyone Only Has Words of Praise and Astonishment.

After All, Even If an Italian Second Division Team Made Such a Move, They Would Be the Number One Candidate for Promotion Next Season, Let Alone an Italian Third Division Team?

Soon After, San Remo Signed New Contracts with Most of the Players in the Team.

Some Players Transferred to Administrative Positions, Becoming Part of the Coaching Staff, or Became Youth Training Coaches and Scouts.

San Remo’s Original Player Age Structure Was Already Older, Many Players Were Long Past Their Prime.

Last Season Was Their Final Glimmer.

Starting This Season, San Remo Will Gradually Begin to Renew and Replace.

Starting with Latuidi, San Remo Almost Dominated All News in the Lower-Level Transfer Market.

They Spent Thirty Thousand Euros to Package Six Players Who Were Rather Young and Active in the Italian Third Division and Italian D Division.

Two Forwards, Midfielders, and Defenders Each.

But This is Just the Beginning!

They Have Several More Heavyweight Signings Lined Up!

Milan Sports Newspaper: ”San Remo Buys Italian Second Division Empoli Veteran Palacios for Fifteen Thousand Euros, the 32-Year-Old Palacios Has Played in the Italian Second Division for Five Years, Performing Stably, He is a Major Player in Empoli’s Defense, and Also the Team’s Third Captain.”

”This Year, Empoli Tried to Advance to Serie A, They Acquired a Main Central Defender from Atletico Madrid in La Liga. Palacios Did Not Want to Be a Substitute, and San Remo Could Meet His Salary Requirement.”

Torino Sports Paper: ”San Remo Packages Italian Second Division Perugia’s Starting Goalkeeper Jalard and Substitute Right-Back Mathias for Twenty Thousand Euros.”

”San Remo’s Goalkeeper Was Already Struggling Last Season, He Had Difficulty Coping with Italian Third Division Level Games. And 35-Year-Old Jalard is the Best Choice for San Remo, His Performance Was Stable Last Season, He Can Play Until 38 in This Position! He Still Holds Italian Second Division Level Strength.”

”27-Year-Old Mathias May Not Have Much Potential, But His Ability is Sufficient for Him to Become the Starting Right-Back in an Italian Third Division Team. He Will Share Playing Time with San Remo’s Original Right-Back, Considering the Other’s Age, Mathias May Soon Secure the Main Position.”

Rome Sports Daily: ”San Remo Loans Benevento Youngster Jorson Ferreira, the Loan Contract Includes a Buyout Clause, a Maximum of Twenty Thousand Euros is Sufficient to Buy Out.”

”Ferreira, 18 Years Old, Previously Represented Benevento First Team in Three Matches, Later Returned to the Youth Train Team. Technically Strong, Excellent Passing, Characterized by a Lack of Speed, Which Has Never Allowed Him to Shine as a Right Winger. But He Still Has Potential to Tap, He Has the Strength to Sway Between Right Forward and Right Midfielder at San Remo.”

Genoa Sports Newspaper: ”Breaking News! San Remo Once Bidded for Rome’s Substitute Right Winger Bechir Aguirre!”

Among the Dense News, Some Will Be Pleasurable, Some Unpleasant.

Such as the Inquiry About Bechir Aguirre.

Rome is One of the Traditional Serie A Giants, 23-Year-Old Aguirre Has Been in Rome’s First Team for Almost Two Seasons. But His Performance Has Never Won the Trust of the Head Coach and Fans.

His Immediate Combat Capability is Alright, with Decent Speed, Passing, Dribbling Breakthrough, Shooting, Organization, and Other Abilities. It Can Be Said He Could Secure a Main Position in Any Italian Second Division Level Team.

But Obviously, Rome Doesn’t Need His Italian Second Division Level Immediate Combat Capability.

Rome Needs a Serie A Star Level Right Winger.

Aguirre is Not Their Answer.

And Considering Aguirre’s Awkward Age, Rome Does Have the Intent to Let Aguirre Go.

Twenty-Three.

This Age, to Say It’s Old is Naturally a Bit Much.

But to Say It’s Full of Talent, Where Does That Leave Those 17-18-Year-Old Talented Youngsters?

Honestly, Although Some Players Indeed Begin to Shine at 23, 24, More Talented Players Start Redeeming Their Talent Before This.

Many Far-Sighted Scouts and Coaches Believe Aguirre Actually Has No More Potential to Tap.

What He is Now, and What He Will Be, Won’t Have Much Difference.
