I AM the Football Star

Chapter 94: Chapter 38: Winds Rising Over Sunshine City, San Remo Wields the Checkbook (Part 2)

Of course, there are still people who believe Aguirre is worth looking forward to.

So Rome ultimately kept Aguirre.

San Remo temporarily borrowed Fernandez from Benevento as a supplement for the right winger position.

This was actually a very normal offer and transaction.

Some refuse, some accept, some are irreplaceable, some are the backup plan.

Fernandez doesn’t complain about San Remo because he’s their backup; he hopes to gain more playing time and recognition at San Remo.

But the problem arose when Aguirre learned that San Remo had made an offer for him.

In a media interview, Aguirre said: ”I don’t know why some trash teams dare to make offers to me. Do they really think money can desecrate football?”

”Yes, their offer is an insult to me! It’s the biggest humiliation I’ve ever received. I hate teams that always dream of unrealistic things; they’re just an Italian Third Division team. Who do they think they are?”

”I am a Roma player; I play for a grand club like Rome, and only clubs of the same or higher level deserve me!”

Aguirre’s attitude was extremely arrogant.

Moreover, due to the ”higher-level grand clubs” remark, he not only offended San Remo and many lower-level teams but also offended his own Roma fans.

Everyone knows Rome isn’t the top-tier club in the football world, but... is it appropriate for you to say this as a Roma player?

Look at the Roman Wolf King Perrotta. Facing invitations from the La Liga super club Real Madrid and the Premier League super club Manchester United, he proudly said no!

That is true loyalty and protection of the team.

Not that kind of ”Rome is my dad now, but when I have a wealthier dad, Rome can go to hell” fake loyalty.

Aguirre’s reckless words caused a wave of scolding from his own fans.

To this, San Remo and the fans of the vast lower leagues expressed their thumbs up to the Roma fans.

Seeing the wrong fan reaction, Aguirre was pointed out by his agent to conduct another interview: ”I’m not someone who is good at expressing myself. I hope everyone can feel my sincerity towards the team. I just don’t want to become someone who needs to rely on various gimmicks to play. I want to play well, rather than thinking of taking shortcuts.”

”I really dislike the team San Remo because they have such players.”

This time, Aguirre’s comments barely received recognition from his own team’s fans.

But the kind of player he was referring to as taking shortcuts was undoubtedly Lu Yang.

This was an inexplicable baseless accusation.

Morici immediately tagged Aguirre on social media: ”Hey buddy, are you mocking my good brother? So you are simply jealous of his relationship with Sofia?”

”If you could score with a bicycle kick from thirty-three meters away, if you could sidestep a group of Serie A players like knocking over a stack of logs, perhaps you might attract some female stars too.”

”But unfortunately, you can’t. And even if you could, it wouldn’t work because you don’t have that handsome face that drives women crazy like my brother does!”

”I’ve watched your games; I like watching high-level football leagues—the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, I’ve seen them all. Frankly, your level is actually more suited to Serie B. I believe you can feel it yourself, you’re struggling in Serie A.”

”And Lu Yang, at your age, will become a Serie A star, that’s the difference between you two. The one taking shortcuts isn’t him; it’s you, the one who loves the glory of the grand clubs and can’t bear to leave but can’t bring new honors to Rome either!”

Morici’s sharp remarks had long been experienced by the players of San Remo.

This time, he unleashed a full force, roasting Aguirre thoroughly.

And the way he did it was quite high-end and elegant.

For a while, many onlookers supported Morici, becoming his sharp-tongued fans, after all, he is the patron saint of men all over Europe.

Soon, Sofia also reposted Morici’s remarks and replied to Aguirre: ”I don’t require you to lead the team from the relegation zone to a championship in half a season. I don’t require you always to score a decisive goal at the most crucial moment of the game. I don’t require you to stitch your injury on the sidelines and not leave the field. I don’t require any of this because who you are to me is not important at all, I don’t care.”

”But I’m warning you, don’t try to belittle and insult Lu Yang again. He may be a lower-league player, but anyone who has watched his matches knows he’s a real player. No one who loves football could say words that attack him...”

”He might not be the greatest footballer in the entire football world, but he is the greatest man in my heart, Sofia!”

Sofia’s speech made the onlookers completely boil over.

Not only the fans but many entertainment circle fans also paid attention to this war of words.

Although Sofia’s words were full of deep love for Lu Yang, everyone surprisingly didn’t find it bitter this time.

Because that’s what Lu Yang deserves.

He is worthy of such praise from Sofia!

For a while, the Italian Football Association ushered in its highlight moment with traffic.

This traffic was drawn by Sofia and didn’t belong to the Italian Football.

This feeling of having extra traffic influx hadn’t been felt by the Italian football world for a long time.
