Chapter 55: Chapter 23: I’ve Seen This Match Before—We Will Win! (Part 3)

Do not underestimate the heart that seeks a championship!

From Lu Yang’s eyes, the Palermo Goalkeeper saw Lu Yang’s determination.

That kind of determination to win!

”This kid will undoubtedly shoot a powerful shot, perhaps even a shot that could kill!” The Palermo Goalkeeper was certain, ”And before his gaze turned resolute, he glanced towards my left!”

Even if Lu Yang’s shot were to break the net, he wouldn’t be surprised.

This kid, who excels at long-range shooting, would bet everything and pursue power producing miracles!

Whistle!

The referee blew the whistle.

Lu Yang started to jog.

As he approached the ball, his right foot lifted high.

In that instant, the Palermo Goalkeeper suddenly exerted strength with his right foot, throwing himself to his left ahead of time.

Bam!

Almost simultaneously.

The ball left the ground.

The Palermo Goalkeeper was airborne.

But there was no joy in his eyes.

Only panic!

Not just him; everyone on the field showed panic at this moment.

On the Palermo side, they were thinking, ”How dare he!”

And on the San Remo side, they were also thinking, ”How dare he!”

The ball didn’t blast out.

Instead, it traced a spoon-like arc through the air, dropping into the net long after the goalkeeper had landed.

”GOAL! The ball went in!”

”Unbelievable! How dare he play like that!”

”A spoon penalty! Lu Yang actually kicked a spoon penalty!”

”Does he even know what this match means?”

”Big heart! This is definitely a player with a big heart!”

”Lu Yang the king of clutch came through! His spoon penalty will surely be the most dazzling goal of this league round!”

”Are you crazy!” Morici rushed over first to celebrate with Lu Yang, ”You’re definitely a lunatic! Tell me, have you seen this match? Tell me, we won this match, right!”

Morici was so excited he even shed tears.

Actually, the moment he confessed his poor form, he had begun to regret it.

Because he remembered he was the player with the best technique on the team.

If he didn’t take the penalty, who else would dare to take it?

He is the core of the team, always starting from the team’s perspective, hoping to make the best choice for the team, but he forgot about human nature.

This is just the Italian D Division, not the Serie A nor the Champions League.

Not the kind of match where one goal can earn fame, here penalties aren’t scrambled for, especially under the circumstance that missing the penalty would surely make one the team’s sinner.

But Lu Yang saved him.

Lu Yang stood out.

He is always like this, always trustworthy, always the strongest support.

”Yes, I have seen it! We will win!” Lu Yang hugged Morici, shouting madly!

To anyone, a spoon penalty is an immense pressure, and he felt it too.

But with ”Totti’s spoon lob,” he actually felt more stable to use the spoon when taking penalties than kicking it directly.

At least he wouldn’t miss the goal entirely.

Directly kicking, he feared shattering the stand, because he also felt the pressure.

And the facts proved, Totti could be trusted!

Watching the wildly celebrating Lu Yang, Sotu smiled: ”This match, we’re going to win for sure!”

Tom said: ”But Rondo’s off the field, our defense... might concede a goal.”

Sotu replied: ”I know, but... we’re going to win for sure!”
