I AM the Football Star

Chapter 86: Chapter 35: C Luo, C Luo, and Still C Luo!

”You’re strong. You won’t stay in the Italian D and C forever. I’ll be waiting for you to beat me in Serie A!” said the Tulis central forward, then turned and left.

The referee showed him a yellow card at first, then two yellows turned into one red, and then he showed him a red card.

His game was over.

But it didn’t matter.

The match time had already exceeded stoppage time, San Remo still had one last free kick to take, after which the game would be over.

”Hey!” Lu Yang called out to the opponent, ”What’s your name?”

The opponent stopped, turned his head to look at Lu Yang, and said, ”Diego Talista! I’m twenty-four this year.”

Lu Yang was taken aback: ”I thought you were thirty...”

Diego Talista said helplessly: ”A lot of people think that. I’ve missed a lot of transfer offers because of it, but I’m used to it. This is the field, let’s talk later. I’m also very interested in you, this tough nut.”

Lu Yang said, ”You don’t need to wait until Serie A.”

Talista frowned and said, ”What?”

Lu Yang said, ”I said, to beat you, there’s no need to wait until I’m in Serie A. I will win this match!”

Talista laughed, ”Madman!”

Lu Yang: ”Watch from the sidelines, I’m terrifyingly strong!”

After saying that, Lu Yang walked towards the line of already positioned defenders.

”Morici, trust me!” Lu Yang looked at Morici.

Normally, Morici was the one to take the free kicks.

This was different from a penalty kick.

A penalty kick tests psychological endurance more, while a free kick requires real skills.

It’s not something that can be done with just passion.

”How about I pass it to you, and we execute a combination play?” Morici knew what Lu Yang wanted to do, but he had already done enough today, and it was time for someone else to step up and take responsibility.

”Trust me!” Lu Yang placed both of his hands on Morici’s shoulders.

Morici looked into Lu Yang’s eyes and nodded.

He trusted Lu Yang.

Lu Yang had said he saw this match, and they won!

”Oh, standing in front of the ball isn’t Morici, it’s Lu Yang! This is such a surprise!”

”Lu Yang isn’t known for his footwork; the best in San Remo is Morici.”

”But somehow, I’m not surprised by this decision at all.”

”After the game, many might criticize Lu Yang for not following team tactical rules and taking this free kick. But I have to say, this is Lu Yang!”

”From the moment he defended with his face, from the moment he snatched the ball from someone else’s feet with his head, from the moment he was covered in blood but refused to be substituted, from the moment he argued with Coach Sotu, from the moment he sat at the side of the pitch receiving stitches straight from the team doctor... we knew, this is Lu Yang!”

”He never leaves anything to others, whether winning or losing, he fights to the very end. He takes responsibility for his every action!”

”Lu Yang is ready, he starts to step back!”

”His steps are very distinct, it’s as if he’s measuring the land with his feet.”

”Five steps, Lu Yang stepped back five steps.”

”His gaze is incredibly determined, these eyes might be the most beautifully enchanting eyes in the world right now.”

”But for the players of Tulis, it might be the most terrifying gaze in the world.”

The sound around the stadium disappeared.

Everyone held their breath.

They didn’t know why they did it.

Because they didn’t realize how much they longed for a miracle.

Lu Yang took a deep breath!

Lu Yang ran up!

Lu Yang swung his foot in a fierce strike!

Bam!

The football flew high, over the wall.

The goalkeeper had guessed correctly.

He figured Lu Yang must be confident in taking the free kick at this moment.

Lu Yang had already displayed many sides of himself that he had never shown before today.

He could hit a high-quality free kick!

The Tulis goalkeeper had a smile on his face.

But in the next moment, his smile froze.

Because the football suddenly plunged sharply from mid-air, and it swayed left and right, with an unpredictable trajectory.

Others perhaps saw the ball’s rapid descent.

But the goalkeeper saw the ball moving up, down, left, and right...

He had no idea where the ball would land, and the swaying ball threw off his balance.

Bam!

The goalkeeper, like a statue, raised his hands but the ball brushed past.

Rather than a save, it was more of a surrender!

Behind him, a white wave surged!

In the next moment, the world shattered!!!

The Sanremo City Stadium experienced a tremor akin to an 8.0 earthquake.

The whole of Italy seemed to tremble for the black and white elf that appeared inside the goal net at that moment.

The ball went in!
