Yusuke Uchiha’s raid on the Seireitei sent shockwaves through Soul Society. Such a blatant act of theft was unprecedented in the history of the Seireitei’s reign as the dominant power.

In the Gotei 13’s Captain’s meeting hall, all the captains except Kyōraku Shunsui were assembled, awaiting the 8th Division’s report on the losses and any gathered clues.

The atmosphere was thick with tension; every captain wore a grim expression, remaining silent.

Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni had closed his eyes, his immense Reiatsu and palpable killing intent radiating outwards.

Even the other captains were visibly apprehensive under Yamamoto’s imposing aura.

At that moment, a flamboyant older man, clad in a pink coat and adorned with two ornate hairpins, entered the hall—Kyōraku Shunsui, the current captain of the 8th Division.

The 8th Division is responsible for intelligence gathering within the Gotei 13. Therefore, following the discovery of Yusuke Uchiha’s intrusion into the Seireitei, the investigative responsibilities, including the initial reconnaissance and subsequent inquiries, fell under the purview of the 8th Division.

The Captain-Commander, seated at the head of the assembly, slowly opened his eyes, his gaze as sharp as blades, fixed upon Kyōraku Shunsui. ”Has the complete assessment of the losses been finalized?” he inquired.

Kyōraku Shunsui nodded, and proceeded to deliver his report to the assembled captains.

”Following a meticulous inventory conducted by personnel from various departments, the stolen items have been identified as follows: the entirety of the existing supplies within the logistics department, the comprehensive training materials housed within the Shinigami Academy, the current technical data held by the Research and Development Institute, and two hundred asauchi (unawakened Zanpakutō) from the reserves maintained by the Central 46.

Furthermore, Kurotsuchi Mayuri, who was only recently transferred to Muken earlier today, has also been freed from confinement; it is highly probable that this act of liberation was perpetrated by the same individual responsible for the preceding thefts,” Kyōraku Shunsui reported.

Having concluded this portion of his report, Kyōraku Shunsui approached the Captain-Commander and presented him with a comprehensive document. ”This document contains a detailed inventory of the losses incurred, Captain-Commander. I trust that you will find it to be informative.”

Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni perused the document presented by Kyōraku Shunsui, his expression remaining impassive. ”Has the identity of the perpetrator been ascertained?” he inquired stoically.

Kyōraku Shunsui responded with a grave shake of his head. ”We have retrieved several segments of security footage from the surveillance systems maintained by the Research and Development Institute.

The footage reveals that the perpetrator was wearing a mask strikingly similar to those worn by Hollows, effectively obscuring their true features and rendering definitive identification impossible,” Kyōraku Shunsui explained.

”At present, we have only been able to formulate tentative deductions regarding the perpetrator’s capabilities,” Kyōraku Shunsui continued.

Kyōraku Shunsui then proceeded to detail the deduced capabilities of the perpetrator, namely their proficiency in genjutsu and spatial manipulation techniques, the accuracy of which closely aligned with Yusuke Uchiha’s actual abilities.

Furthermore, based on the distinctive appearance of the sword that was visible in the security footage, it was surmised that the perpetrator was likely a Shinigami.

However, the Captain-Commander did not personally review the security footage, for had he done so, he would have undoubtedly recognized that the Zanpakutō visible at Yusuke Uchiha’s hip was virtually identical in appearance to his own Ryūjin Jakka.

Given that the Captain-Commander himself consistently kept his Zanpakutō concealed within his cane, it is highly improbable that any Shinigami currently serving within the Gotei 13 would possess the knowledge to recognize it.

Upon hearing Kyōraku Shunsui’s report, a palpable wave of astonishment and concern washed over the assembled captains.

Among the items pilfered, the training materials from the Shinigami Academy, the reserve supply of asauchi, and the technical data from the Research and Development Institute were all considered to be exceptionally valuable and subject to stringent security protocols. Their potential misuse by individuals with malicious intent could have catastrophic consequences.

Moreover, the perpetrator’s demonstrated proficiency in both genjutsu and spatial manipulation techniques is exceptionally rare among Shinigami.

The combination of these two highly specialized abilities rendered the Seireitei, despite its formidable defenses, extremely vulnerable to such an attack.

After briefly reviewing the inventory of losses, Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni handed the document to his aide. He then addressed the assembled captains with a voice that brooked no dissent.

”The ramifications of this incident are exceedingly grave, and it is imperative that the perpetrator be apprehended with the utmost expediency.

The 8th Division shall assume the primary responsibility for conducting the subsequent investigation, and all other divisions are expected to extend their full cooperation,” Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni declared.

”With regard to the enhancement of the Seireitei’s defenses, the 9th, 6th, 7th, and 10th Divisions shall immediately commence the implementation of enhanced security measures, and shall submit comprehensive proposals within the next three days outlining strategies to prevent the recurrence of such events,” Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni instructed.

Within the Gotei 13, the 9th Division is responsible for security, the 6th and 7th divisions serve as the respective guard units for the nobility and the Captain-Commander, and the 10th Division is tasked with patrolling and maintaining security throughout the Seireitei. All of these divisions possess responsibilities related to the defense and security of the Seireitei.

His gaze sweeping across the assembled captains, Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni delivered a piece of news that elicited a palpable sense of unease among them.

”Furthermore, the Central 46 has been duly informed of this incident, and you are all expected to prepare yourselves for a thorough investigation,” he announced.

Upon the conclusion of the meeting, Kyōraku Shunsui, as he exited the Captain’s meeting hall, let out a profound sigh, fully cognizant of the fact that the 8th Division had inadvertently become embroiled in a matter of immense gravity.

As Kisuke Urahara happened to be passing by, Kyōraku Shunsui promptly seized the opportunity to engage him in conversation.

”Urahara,” Kyōraku Shunsui implored, his voice tinged with urgency, ”we require the assistance of your esteemed Research and Development Institute in this critical matter.”

At this juncture, Kisuke Urahara served not only as the captain of the 12th Division but also as the director of the Research and Development Institute, a position he had assumed upon founding the institute.

Observing the pleading expression on Kyōraku Shunsui’s face, Kisuke Urahara responded with a wry shake of his head.

”Given the significant losses incurred by the Research and Development Institute in this incident,” he explained, his voice laced with a hint of resignation, ”the Central 46 will undoubtedly seize this opportunity to conduct a thorough investigation into our operations, utilizing this as a pretext to insert their own personnel into our ranks.

At present, I am preoccupied with matters of my own and am therefore unable to extend the assistance you seek.”

Kyōraku Shunsui, upon hearing Urahara’s explanation, nodded in understanding, recognizing that Kisuke Urahara was likely grappling with even greater challenges than himself.

”Have you encountered any abilities similar to those employed by the intruder during your extensive experience? Given the rarity of these abilities, should the intruder indeed be a Shinigami, the Seireitei should possess records documenting such exceptional powers,” Kyōraku Shunsui inquired.

Kisuke Urahara paused for a moment in reflection. ”To the best of my recollection, I have never encountered abilities of such a unique and extraordinary nature,” he replied thoughtfully.

”The fact that the intruder has absconded with such a significant quantity of highly sensitive data strongly suggests that their motives are far from trivial, and I anticipate that this incident will undoubtedly give rise to considerable complications in the days and weeks to come.”

While the Seireitei was thrown into disarray by Yusuke Uchiha’s audacious actions, the perpetrator himself was ensconced within the confines of his Kamui dimension, meticulously reviewing the wealth of information he had acquired.

”I estimate that it will require a period of approximately ten to twenty years to fully assimilate all of this data,” Yusuke Uchiha mused to himself.

As his gaze swept across the vast expanse of documents and data that had accumulated within his Kamui dimension, a surge of exhilaration and delight coursed through Yusuke Uchiha.

For a Shinigami of his caliber, a span of ten to twenty years represented a relatively insignificant interval of time.

The prospect of acquiring this trove of novel knowledge, enabling him to further refine and enhance his abilities, was the true prize he sought.

Dismissing any lingering distractions, Yusuke Uchiha immediately embarked upon his self-directed educational program, commencing with a thorough study of the fundamental curriculum of the Shinigami Academy.

Upon successfully mastering the materials provided by the Shinigami Academy, Yusuke Uchiha transitioned to a more advanced study of the technical data acquired from the Research and Development Institute.

Leveraging his extensive experience in the fields of ninjutsu, weaponry, and technological innovation, Yusuke Uchiha was able to readily adapt and apply his existing knowledge base to the assimilation of these novel concepts.

Fifteen years passed in the blink of an eye, and Yusuke Uchiha had successfully completed his independent study of all the acquired data.

While certain aspects of the highly specialized technical data obtained from the Research and Development Institute remained elusive, Yusuke Uchiha expressed unwavering confidence in his ability to unravel these complexities through practical application and experimentation.

In the aftermath of Yusuke Uchiha’s audacious theft, the Seireitei had significantly bolstered its security measures, and the Research and Development Institute had implemented numerous enhancements to its surveillance systems, incorporating real-time alert capabilities.

However, much to the chagrin of the Seireitei’s leadership, Yusuke Uchiha never again ventured within its confines, rendering the substantial investment of manpower and resources dedicated to enhancing security measures largely ineffectual, at least for the time being.
