”Who are you? You appeared out of nowhere, and nobody seems to see you,” Kenpachi Zaraki asked Yusuke Uchiha.

Yusuke Uchiha was still wearing a Hollow mask, but he’d used a genjutsu to hypnotize the surrounding souls, rendering himself invisible to them. A normal soul seeing his Hollow mask would panic and cause a commotion.

”How did you find me? I didn’t release any Reiatsu,” Yusuke Uchiha asked, puzzled.

Kenpachi Zaraki hadn’t been there when Yusuke Uchiha first entered Rukongai. He must have somehow sensed his presence and then intercepted him.

A fierce battle intent blazed in young Kenpachi Zaraki’s eyes. ”Because I sensed the presence of a powerful individual. From you, I perceive an aura that transcends any opponent I’ve ever encountered. Only one woman, some time ago, possessed a comparable aura.”

Kenpachi Zaraki possesses an innate ability to detect powerful individuals, a sense entirely independent of spiritual pressure (Reiatsu). Yusuke Uchiha, having reigned as the strongest fighter in the Naruto world for many years, naturally emanated such a potent aura.

While numerous powerful individuals within the Bleach universe might be capable of defeating Yusuke Uchiha, their aura would still pale in comparison to his, for Yusuke Uchiha had already ascended to the apex of power within his own world.

Upon hearing Kenpachi Zaraki’s explanation, Yusuke Uchiha gained a general understanding of the reason for his detection. As for the woman mentioned by Kenpachi Zaraki whose aura was comparable to his own, Yusuke Uchiha recognized her identity immediately.

Prior to Kenpachi Zaraki’s integration into the Gotei 13, during his adolescence, he engaged in a fierce battle with the first Kenpachi, Retsu Unohana. While Retsu Unohana was ostensibly declared the victor of this confrontation, the true victor was, in fact, Kenpachi Zaraki.

Driven by an insatiable desire to experience the exhilaration of combat, Kenpachi Zaraki, having ascertained that Retsu Unohana was not his equal, unconsciously suppressed his spiritual pressure (Reiatsu), reducing it to a level comparable to Retsu Unohana’s. However, due to his relative lack of combat experience at that time, Kenpachi Zaraki ultimately succumbed to defeat at the hands of Retsu Unohana.

Retsu Unohana, having vanquished Kenpachi Zaraki, subsequently realized that her victory had been far from decisive; she had not truly overcome the young Kenpachi. Upon returning to the Seireitei, she relinquished her prestigious title as captain of the 11th Division, the strongest division, and relinquished the title of Kenpachi, concealing her true disposition and assuming the less demanding role of captain of the 4th Division.

Kenpachi Zaraki’s peculiar constitution manifests in his involuntary suppression of his spiritual pressure (Reiatsu). While this suppression does not result in a restoration of his power, it serves to conceal his true strength, deeply embedding it within his being.

At the time of his initial appearance in the original storyline, Kenpachi Zaraki’s power was inferior to that which he possessed during his youth. It was not until the climactic Thousand-Year Blood War that Kenpachi Zaraki’s latent power, dormant within his body, was finally awakened through a life-or-death struggle with Retsu Unohana, revealing his true, formidable strength.

Yusuke Uchiha harbored a strong desire to enlist the exceptionally powerful Kenpachi Zaraki among his ranks, but he recognized that the present moment was not opportune for such an endeavor.

Kenpachi Zaraki is akin to an untamable beast, incapable of being truly subjugated by any individual. However, his insatiable thirst for combat could be effectively leveraged to secure his services.

His subsequent integration into the Gotei 13 was, in essence, a strategic maneuver to obtain a legitimate license to engage in combat, thereby allowing him to freely indulge his innate predilection for conflict.

Observing the masked figure before him, who remained silent, Kenpachi Zaraki let out a hearty laugh. ”How about we engage in a fierce battle right here and now?” he proposed.

Sensing the potent spiritual pressure (Reiatsu) emanating from Kenpachi Zaraki, Yusuke Uchiha found himself unable to definitively assess whether he would prove to be a formidable opponent.

However, even if Kenpachi Zaraki were to prove to be a challenging adversary at this juncture, Yusuke Uchiha recognized that there would be ample opportunities to recruit him once he had attained a level of power that would render him a worthy opponent.

A subtle smirk played upon Yusuke Uchiha’s lips, concealed beneath his mask, as he calmly responded. ”At present, you are not yet worthy of engaging in combat with me,” he declared. ”However, I do perceive the latent potential that resides within you. When your strength has attained its full measure, I shall return to seek you out once more.”

While Yusuke Uchiha’s words suggested that he would await Kenpachi Zaraki’s attainment of sufficient power before engaging him in battle, he was well aware that Kenpachi Zaraki’s strength would not increase; on the contrary, his power would likely diminish over time due to the absence of formidable adversaries to challenge him.

”Why defer until the future? Let us engage in a truly exhilarating and unrestrained battle right here and now!” Kenpachi Zaraki exclaimed, his face contorted in a ferocious grin, as he swiftly lunged forward, his battered Zanpakutō flashing menacingly towards Yusuke Uchiha.

Kenpachi Zaraki exhibited complete unconcern regarding Yusuke Uchiha’s assertion that he was not yet worthy of engaging in combat with him. His sole motivation was the pursuit of the sheer exhilaration of battle, and even if his opponent were to prove to be overwhelmingly powerful, capable of inflicting his demise, he would embrace death without regret.

Much to Kenpachi Zaraki’s astonishment, his attack failed to connect with his opponent, passing harmlessly through Yusuke Uchiha’s seemingly intangible form.

Yachiru Kusajishi, perched upon Kenpachi Zaraki’s shoulder, displayed a look of intense curiosity, extending a finger to gently prod Yusuke Uchiha’s chest. However, her touch passed harmlessly through him, reinforcing the impression that Yusuke Uchiha was merely an illusion.

”Huh? Kenpachi, what in the world is going on here?” Yachiru Kusajishi exclaimed, her large eyes widening in astonishment as she addressed Kenpachi Zaraki.

Kenpachi Zaraki’s brow furrowed in perplexity. He could sense the formidable aura emanating from the man before him, yet he was utterly incapable of making physical contact with him, a phenomenon that defied his understanding.

Yusuke Uchiha, of course, had employed the ”Kamui” technique to assume a Hollowfied state, a strategic maneuver that served as his most potent weapon during his foray into Soul Society.

A crow emerged from Yusuke Uchiha’s body, gracefully alighting upon Kenpachi Zaraki’s arm, leaving behind a distinctive crow-shaped mark.

”Should you harbor a desire to engage in combat with truly formidable adversaries,” Yusuke Uchiha declared, his voice resonating with an air of authority, ”then I propose that you pledge your allegiance to me and accompany me to Hueco Mundo. If you accept my offer, you may utilize your spiritual pressure (Reiatsu) to dispel this mark, and I shall then return to seek you out.”

Having delivered his proposition, Yusuke Uchiha promptly vanished from their presence via a Kamui spatial vortex, leaving Kenpachi Zaraki lost in deep contemplation.

Upon hearing Yusuke Uchiha’s invitation to accompany him to Hueco Mundo, Kenpachi Zaraki found himself grappling with a considerable degree of indecision.

While the prospect of engaging in combat with powerful adversaries in Hueco Mundo held a significant appeal, and he harbored a fervent desire to test his mettle against the enigmatic Yusuke Uchiha, he remained hesitant to commit to such an undertaking.

From the outset, Kenpachi Zaraki had adopted the appellation ”Kenpachi” with the ambition of inheriting the mantle of the strongest Kenpachi. At this juncture, he was poised to embark upon his journey to the Seireitei, where he intended to join the esteemed Gotei 13.

”I shall first direct my efforts towards challenging the Captain-Commander and the current Kenpachi within the esteemed Gotei 13,” Kenpachi Zaraki resolved.

Having formulated his future plans, Kenpachi Zaraki ceased to dwell upon Yusuke Uchiha’s invitation to Hueco Mundo, instead choosing to rest against a nearby wall, Yachiru Kusajishi nestled securely in his embrace.

Yusuke Uchiha remained confident in his ability to recruit Kenpachi Zaraki, for he was well aware that Kenpachi Zaraki’s path within the Gotei 13 would not be without its challenges.

Following Retsu Unohana’s resignation, there had been nine successive Kenpachi, each ascending to the coveted title by vanquishing their predecessor in a duel to the death.

Kenpachi Zaraki’s designation as the eleventh Kenpachi signified that, with the exception of the tenth Kenpachi, who had accepted his challenge, all of his predecessors had declined to engage him in combat.

Furthermore, upon Kenpachi Zaraki’s integration into the Gotei 13, Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni, who had initially served as Kenpachi Zaraki’s mentor in the art of swordsmanship, was compelled to provide him with only perfunctory instruction due to directives received from the Central 46.

The Central 46, having recognized Kenpachi Zaraki’s exceptional potential, coupled with their awareness of his untamable and potentially volatile nature, had sought to curtail his growth and influence.

Despite these grievances, which served to fuel Kenpachi Zaraki’s discontent, he had no alternative but to remain within the confines of the Gotei 13 in the original storyline.

However, Yusuke Uchiha’s intervention had presented Kenpachi Zaraki with a choice, and Yusuke Uchiha was confident that an individual of Kenpachi Zaraki’s untamed disposition would likely opt to seek out the intense battles he craved in Hueco Mundo should he experience marginalization or ostracism within the Seireitei.
