Hollows are categorized into several types, with the most powerful being the Menos Grandes. While the term ”Grandes” implies size, it actually refers to their spiritual pressure.

Menos Grandes are further divided into three ranks: Gillian, Adjuchas, and Vasto Lorde.

These ranks are hierarchical, with strength and rarity increasing progressively. The most powerful, Vasto Lorde, are exceedingly rare, with fewer than a handful known to exist in Hueco Mundo.

Gillians, the lowest rank of Menos Grandes, are further subdivided into two distinct types.

The most prevalent type of Gillian is characterized by its remarkably low intelligence, possessing a mental capacity that is inferior even to that of the average, common Hollow.

These Gillians are colossal in size, often reaching tens or even hundreds of meters in height. Their bodies are completely enveloped in dark, flowing robes, and their faces are concealed by white masks that evoke a sense of dread and apprehension in ordinary individuals.

The second type of Gillian represents the elite among its kind. Through the relentless process of devouring other Hollows, these exceptional Gillians have developed an intellectual capacity comparable to that of humans, and they have also mastered the art of compressing their spiritual pressure, enabling them to reduce their physical size to a more manageable and combat-effective form.

Their outward appearance bears a striking resemblance to that of ordinary Hollows, making it exceedingly challenging to distinguish them based solely on visual inspection. The most reliable method for identifying these elite Gillians is through the detection of their exceptionally potent spiritual pressure.

Gillians, the lowest rank of Menos Grandes, are considered to possess mid-to-high-level combat capabilities within Soul Society. Among the Shinigami, only exceptionally skilled lieutenants or captains possess the necessary strength and expertise to effectively contend with such formidable adversaries.

The appearance of a Menos Grande in the human world is considered a significant event for Soul Society, warranting immediate attention and a swift response.

The Gillian confronting Yusuke Uchiha is clearly one of the elite variety, having evolved to possess intellectual capabilities on par with humans. Its face is obscured by a skull mask that conveys an expression of profound anguish.

”Shinigami,” the Gillian jeered, its voice laced with derision, ”what brings you to Hueco Mundo? But it matters little; you shall soon become sustenance for us!”

The Gillian let out a sardonic laugh, its cohorts echoing its amusement, their confidence seemingly unshakeable.

Yusuke Uchiha, however, responded with a calm and composed smile. ”It just so happens that I am eager to inquire about certain matters.”

”You dare show such insolence in the face of death!” the Gillian leader roared, addressing its underlings. ”Overwhelm him!”

As the leader observed the unwavering composure etched upon the Shinigami’s countenance, a subtle tremor of apprehension began to surface within his own heart. He had a nagging suspicion that he might have inadvertently provoked an adversary far beyond his capabilities.

Nevertheless, to dispel any lingering doubts regarding the Shinigami’s true strength, the Gillian leader resolved to dispatch his underlings as a vanguard, thereby gauging Yusuke Uchiha’s capabilities before committing to a direct confrontation.

Should the Shinigami prove to be superior, the Gillian leader, confident in his status as a Menos Grande, believed that escape would remain a viable option, even if he were unable to secure a victory.

Upon receiving their leader’s command, the surrounding Hollows immediately launched a ferocious assault upon Yusuke Uchiha, their movements characterized by a chaotic flurry of claws and fangs.

However, before the Hollows had even fully registered the unfolding events, Yusuke Uchiha had already materialized before their leader, the initial onslaught of the Hollows having completely missed their target.

In the ensuing instant, a horrifying sound, indicative of flesh being violently rent asunder, reverberated across the desolate landscape. The Hollows, before they could even utter a single cry of distress, were instantaneously bisected vertically, their bodies cleaved in two.

Within the span of a single breath, all of the attacking Hollows had met their demise, yet the Gillian leader had failed to even perceive Yusuke Uchiha’s movements.

The Gillian leader involuntarily swallowed a lump of saliva, its body paralyzed by an overwhelming surge of terror.

It was acutely aware that, given the extraordinary speed possessed by the man before it, any attempt at escape would be futile should he choose to eliminate it.

”Who currently reigns supreme over Las Noches?” Yusuke Uchiha inquired, a subtle smile playing upon his lips.

The Gillian leader responded hesitantly, ”Barragan Luisenbarn, the Skull King.”

Upon learning that Las Noches remained under the dominion of Barragan Luisenbarn, Yusuke Uchiha’s smile broadened perceptibly.

”Fortune truly favors the bold,” Yusuke Uchiha mused to himself. ”Aizen has yet to extend his influence into Hueco Mundo, presenting a most opportune moment for action. The time has come to embark upon a journey to Soul Society,” he resolved.

Having ascertained that Hueco Mundo was still under Barragan Luisenbarn’s control, Yusuke Uchiha harbored no immediate intention of confronting him, recognizing that his chances of securing victory against such a formidable adversary remained uncertain at this juncture.

Furthermore, in order to effectively subdue a Menos Grande of Barragan Luisenbarn’s caliber, Yusuke Uchiha recognized the need to cultivate a level of power that would render any resistance utterly futile.

Should he prevail over these fiercely independent Menos Grandes only after a protracted and arduous struggle, their subsequent subservience would be far from assured, and their allegiance would be far less unwavering than that demonstrated by the Hollows under Aizen’s command.

Observing Yusuke Uchiha’s unyielding silence, the Gillian leader tentatively posed a question. ”Esteemed sir,” it inquired, its voice trembling with apprehension, ”might I now be permitted to depart?”

Yusuke Uchiha swiftly turned his gaze towards the Gillian leader, instantly causing the Hollow’s heart to leap into its throat.

”I find your mask to be quite aesthetically pleasing,” Yusuke Uchiha remarked, his voice as calm and gentle as his gaze. ”Would you be so kind as to remove it yourself, or shall I assist you in this endeavor?”

Despite the seemingly benign nature of Yusuke Uchiha’s words, the Gillian leader’s heart plummeted to its lowest depths.

The mask constituted an integral component of a Hollow’s physical form, and any damage inflicted upon it would inevitably result in substantial harm to the Hollow itself. The forceful removal of the mask would inflict even more grievous harm, resulting in the irreversible loss of a significant amount of spiritual energy (Reiatsu), thereby impeding the Hollow’s capacity for further evolution.

”Esteemed sir,” the Gillian leader pleaded, its voice choked with terror, ”I... I implore you to show mercy.” Simultaneously, its feet involuntarily began to retreat.

”Since you are apparently incapable of performing this simple act,” Yusuke Uchiha responded, a chilling glint appearing in his eyes, ”I shall gladly assist you.”

With a chilling smile, Yusuke Uchiha approached the distraught Gillian, his eyes radiating an aura of intense menace.

Moments later, a bloodcurdling scream pierced the night, echoing across the desolate landscape of Hueco Mundo.

Having acquired the Gillian’s mask, Yusuke Uchiha resumed his exploration of Hueco Mundo, his primary objective being the identification of a Menos Grande who possessed the capability of facilitating his transit to Soul Society.

The Gillian from whom he had recently obtained the mask had suffered a significant depletion of spiritual energy as a consequence of its forcible removal, resulting in a substantial decline in its power level. It had been demoted from a Menos Grande to a mere common Hollow, thereby forfeiting its innate ability to open a Garganta.

A Garganta can be understood as a spatial passageway, enabling Menos Grandes to traverse the vast distances separating Hueco Mundo, the human world, and Soul Society.

The creation of this spatial passageway is not solely dependent upon the magnitude of one’s spiritual pressure, but rather, it is an innate ability exclusive to Hollows.

In contrast, Shinigami, when seeking to travel between Soul Society, the human world, and Hueco Mundo, are reliant upon the technologically advanced Senkaimon, developed by the Seireitei’s Research and Development Bureau. This method is considerably less convenient and efficient than the inherent capabilities possessed by Menos Grandes.

As a Shinigami, Yusuke Uchiha lacked the inherent ability to create a Garganta-like spatial passageway to reach Soul Society.

Although he possessed the ability to utilize the ”Kamui” technique, the direct spatial displacement to Soul Society via Kamui was contingent upon his prior knowledge of Soul Society’s precise location.

Consequently, for his initial journey from Hueco Mundo to Soul Society, Yusuke Uchiha was compelled to seek the assistance of a Menos Grande.

While traversing the desolate landscape of Hueco Mundo, Yusuke Uchiha detected the rapid approach of three exceptionally powerful spiritual pressures.

”Are they coming for me? No, it appears to be mere coincidence that they are traveling in the same direction,” Yusuke Uchiha mused to himself.

Yusuke Uchiha brought his progress to a halt, and in the ensuing moments, the three entities emanating these potent spiritual pressures materialized before him.

Before him stood three Hollows, engaged in a high-speed pursuit. Based on the intensity of their spiritual pressures, Yusuke Uchiha deduced that the two Hollows in pursuit were Gillians, while the Hollow fleeing from their relentless pursuit was an Adjuchas.

Within the expansive realm of Hueco Mundo, only the Espada, the elite forces under Aizen’s command, were known to attain the formidable rank of Vasto Lorde.

Below the formidable Vasto Lorde, the Adjuchas stood as the most powerful rank of Menos Grandes.

The probability of encountering an Adjuchas-level Menos Grande within the vast expanse of Hueco Mundo is comparable to the likelihood of encountering a celebrity in the mundane world.
