Yusuke smiled slightly, pointing to a sealing array beside the operating table. ”Infuse chakra into this sealing array, then visualize Kushina’s appearance in your mind. The array will shape this body according to your mental image.”

”I’ll leave Gen’yūmaru outside the lab. Once you’re finished shaping the body, you can summon him to call me.”

Yusuke started to leave the lab, but Minato stopped him, smiling. ”I know Kushina’s appearance better than anyone. You can wait outside for a few minutes; it’s not necessary to be so troublesome.”

Yusuke turned back, patted Minato on the shoulder, and said, ”Trust me, it will take much longer than you think!”

With that, Yusuke winked at Minato, leaving him slightly confused, and departed.

A short while later, as Minato began shaping Kushina’s body, he finally understood Yusuke’s words and that wink.

”No, wait! My eyes aren’t that small, and my nose bridge should be higher.”

”And my chin is wrong! My chin is much pointier than this! Did you even look at my face properly?!” ℯℯ𝘭.

”And that part could be a little bigger! Don’t you men have any sense of aesthetics?!”

Finally, Minato, drenched in sweat, completed Kushina’s shaping. Four hours had passed since he began, and it was already late evening.

Yusuke chuckled inwardly, observing Minato’s expression of weary resignation. This guy was married, yet he still didn’t seem to understand women very well.

A woman would never pass up an opportunity to enhance her beauty!

Everyone cherishes beauty; Yusuke had even heard that quite a few physically healthy volunteers had gone to Konoha Hospital seeking cosmetic procedures, including men.

Yusuke then performed the Summoning Jutsu, summoning the Shinigami. He instructed the Shinigami to extract Kushina’s soul from Minato and, using a pre-prepared sealing array, sealed Kushina’s soul into the new body.

This seal was temporary, intended to prevent Kushina’s soul from dissipating due to incompatibility with the new body. Once Kushina’s soul and the new body had sufficiently integrated, the seal would become redundant.

Once all the procedures were completed, Kushina, now attired in a white hospital gown, slowly opened her eyes. A profound sense of rebirth washed over her, and her most immediate desire was to embrace Minato and Naruto.

Casting a grateful glance towards Yusuke, Kushina was about to express her thanks when a spatial vortex slowly materialized.

Emerging from the vortex was Naruto, clad in pajamas and a sleep cap, with Yusuke’s Gen’yūmaru perched atop his head.

Naruto was rubbing his eyes in confusion, unsure of what had transpired.

”I’ll leave the rest to the three of you,” Yusuke said with a smile, departing from the laboratory.

Naruto, having regained his composure, caught sight of Kushina standing before him, momentarily falling into a state of stunned silence.

Naruto’s initial reaction was one of overwhelming joy. ”You are... Mom?”

However, before Kushina could respond, Naruto’s expression underwent a dramatic shift. ”No, wait a minute! Could you possibly be a woman whom Dad found who bears a striking resemblance to Mom?! Upon closer inspection, your eyes appear to be slightly larger than Mom’s in the photograph, and your chin is noticeably pointier, and...”

At this point, a piercing scream from a young boy echoed through the Konoha Research Institute!

Kushina’s return to Konoha created quite a stir. No one had anticipated that the Fourth Hokage’s wife, presumed deceased for twelve years, was still alive.

Regarding Kushina’s return, Minato and Yusuke decided to use the pretext of a secret mission to maintain discretion.

Of course, this was less of a genuine attempt at concealment and more of an implicit instruction to others: ”Don’t ask, and if you do, the answer is a secret mission!”

The Konoha ninjas were not simpletons; they understood that there were very few missions that would necessitate the clandestine involvement of Konoha’s First Lady for a period spanning more than a decade.

However, the joy of Kushina’s resurrection was short-lived for Minato. A massive influx of White Zetsu suddenly appeared across the ninja world, congregating near the borders of the five great nations, their numbers vastly exceeding the combined forces of all five villages.

Madara Uchiha had formally initiated his long-awaited plan, deploying his forces in five separate directions to simultaneously launch an assault upon the five great ninja villages, although the bulk of his main force was concentrated upon the Land of Fire.

The White Zetsu armies dispatched to attack the other ninja villages served merely as a diversionary tactic, intended to impede their progress and prevent them from interfering with his primary objective.

Upon reviewing the intelligence gathered by the Konoha reconnaissance ninjas, Minato Namikaze promptly convened a high-level meeting to discuss the appropriate countermeasures.

Following the deliberations of the meeting, it was decided that Itachi Uchiha would assume the role of commander-in-chief for this impending conflict, with Kakashi Hatake and Shikaku Nara serving as his deputies.

Itachi Uchiha had demonstrated exceptional leadership and tactical acumen during the previous conflict with Kumogakure, successfully leading his vanguard forces to victory despite being significantly outnumbered and even managing to capture Yugito Nii, the jinchuriki of the Two-Tailed Beast.

Furthermore, his consistent service as the deputy director of Konoha’s Military Police Force had earned him considerable respect and authority among Konoha’s upper echelons.

Consequently, despite his relatively young age, his appointment to the position of commander-in-chief for this war encountered no opposition within Konoha. With the capable support of Kakashi Hatake and Shikaku Nara, it was anticipated that the mission would proceed without significant complications.

Regarding the overall combat strategy, Konoha’s approach would be characterized by its flexibility. Although the Land of Fire possessed the largest territorial expanse among the five great nations, resulting in the longest borderlines, Konoha’s possession of a network of fixed teleportation arrays allowed for the highly efficient and flexible deployment of its ninja forces. Even in the event of a protracted conflict, Konoha’s military strength was deemed to be more than sufficient to meet the challenge.

On the very day that the meeting concluded, Itachi Uchiha led the Konoha ninja army towards the northern border, which coincided with the location where the White Zetsu had been initially sighted.

In an effort to eliminate all White Zetsu along the border, Konoha’s forces were divided into three distinct units. Itachi Uchiha, acting as the overall commander, would oversee the central army stationed along the northern border. Kakashi Hatake would command the northeastern sector, while Shikaku Nara would be responsible for the northwestern sector.

Simultaneously with Konoha’s deployment of troops to eliminate the White Zetsu, a similar incursion of White Zetsu was detected at the border of the Land of Wind. Sunagakure immediately dispatched its ninja forces to confront the threat, receiving timely support from Konoha.

Beyond Konoha and Sunagakure, the remaining three great ninja villages also independently deployed their forces to counter the White Zetsu incursions that had emerged along their respective borders.

Through intelligence shared by Konoha, these villages came to understand that the appearance of these White Zetsu entities was inextricably linked to the previous attack launched against Konoha by the Akatsuki organization.

However, with the exception of Konoha, the other great ninja villages exhibited a degree of complacency, underestimating the threat posed by these peculiar white humanoid creatures.

Following Madara Uchiha’s deployment of the White Zetsu army to initiate an offensive against the five great nations, reports of substantial White Zetsu casualties began to reach him.

Despite this, Madara Uchiha displayed no indication of concern. In his perspective, the current phase of the conflict represented merely a prelude to the main event, with the true commencement of the war yet to unfold.

”The night of the full moon is fast approaching,” Madara Uchiha declared. ”However, the darkness that descends upon the ninja world on this occasion shall be an eternal night!”
