Hearing Hashirama Senju’s words, Madara Uchiha’s eyes narrowed, his expression growing increasingly grim.

Hashirama, however, pointed at him and erupted in laughter: ”HAHAHAHA! That’s the exact same expression you had when you first lost to me!”

Despite being the former God of Shinobi, Hashirama’s absent-mindedness often surprised those who met him for the first time.

Many who knew him, however, considered this to be part of his charm.

Mito Uzumaki, standing beside him, shook her head wearily. She was accustomed to her husband’s unpredictable behavior. Yet, her intelligence allowed her to grasp the meaning behind Hashirama’s words, and the previously intense worry in her eyes was replaced by renewed hope and confidence.

”Madara, if you had no rivals in the ninja world, gathering the Tailed Beasts would have been a trivial task. However, you currently possess only four jinchuriki, and it seems that you are forced to extract the residual Tailed Beast chakra from past jinchuriki through Edo Tensei to obtain the others. Isn’t the answer quite clear?”

Although these words were ostensibly directed towards Madara Uchiha, Mito Uzumaki’s gaze was fixed upon Hashirama Senju.

Hashirama Senju nodded, his eyes filled with tender affection as he addressed Mito Uzumaki. ”That is precisely what I intended to convey. He must have encountered an opponent whose strength surpasses his own, rendering him incapable of gathering the remaining Tailed Beasts and forcing him to resort to this method of reviving the Ten-Tails.”

The two exchanged a knowing smile, a palpable sense of relief washing over them.

As Madara Uchiha observed Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki’s affectionate exchange and listened to their playful banter directed at him, a profound sense of irritation washed over him.

This was certainly not the outcome he had envisioned upon resurrecting Hashirama Senju!

”Enough!” Madara Uchiha barked, abruptly terminating the unwelcome reminiscing. ”Both of you are to remain silent and observe! Yusuke Uchiha is indeed a formidable opponent, but once I become the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails, even he will be unable to thwart my plans.”

Madara Uchiha let out a cold snort, bringing an abrupt end to the conversation that had proven so irksome to him.

With the power of his Rinnegan fully unleashed, the Gedo Mazo let out a thunderous roar, its arms, which had been bound to its chest, shattering their restraints. The chains binding its legs, which had been crossed and seated upon the ground, were also severed with equal ease.

Madara Uchiha brought his hands together in front of his chest, a torrent of chakra erupting from his body. Simultaneously, the Gedo Mazo opened its maw, extending dozens of chains from within, reaching towards the bodies of all the jinchuriki present, intending to extract their Tailed Beast chakra.

Furthermore, Orochimaru, who had fallen victim to Madara Uchiha’s genjutsu, was also among the Gedo Mazo’s targets. Having been subdued by Madara Uchiha, the half of Shukaku sealed within Orochimaru by the Two-Yang Seal was discovered.

Due to the fact that the jinchuriki resurrected via Edo Tensei, as well as entities such as Kinkaku and Ginkaku, possessed only a minimal amount of Tailed Beast chakra, their chakra was swiftly extracted by the Gedo Mazo without the slightest resistance.

However, the Tailed Beasts residing within the four living jinchuriki were still in their complete form, and the half of Shukaku contained within Orochimaru also possessed a significant amount of chakra. These Tailed Beasts immediately launched a desperate defense.

They were fully aware that once they were reabsorbed into the Gedo Mazo, they would lose their individual identities and ultimately be transformed into the Ten-Tails.

Nevertheless, the Gedo Mazo inherently possessed a power that counteracted the Tailed Beasts, and with Madara Uchiha, wielding the power of the three-tomoe Rinnegan, providing assistance, the five Tailed Beasts—Shukaku, Isobu, Son Gokū, Kokuō, and Saiken—were swiftly extracted and unceremoniously devoured by the Gedo Mazo.

Having absorbed the Tailed Beast chakra from all the jinchuriki present, the Gedo Mazo had successfully amassed the power of all nine Tailed Beasts, from Shukaku to Kurama. The nine eyes on its forehead, previously tightly sealed shut, now snapped open, presenting a terrifying and unsettling spectacle.

However, due to the fact that only four of the Tailed Beasts were in their complete form, only four of the eyes opened fully. Of the remaining five eyes, only the one representing Shukaku was half-opened, while the others were merely slightly ajar, almost appearing to be squinting.

Following the absorption of the Tailed Beasts’ power, the Gedo Mazo, serving as the physical vessel for the Ten-Tails, suddenly convulsed violently, raising its head and emitting a deafening roar. A powerful surge of chakra emanated from its body, and its physical form began to undergo a radical transformation.

Ultimately, the Gedo Mazo, which had previously resembled a humanoid figure, metamorphosed into a bizarre creature with ten tails, prostrate upon the ground.

This creature possessed a round head adorned with a single, enormous eye, the pupil of which bore the unmistakable pattern of the Rinnegan.

Its body lacked significant musculature, its limbs appearing thin and elongated, while its back was burdened by a structure resembling a seashell, yet bristling with numerous large, sharp spines.

This creature was none other than the resurrected Ten-Tails!

However, due to the insufficiency of Tailed Beast chakra, the Ten-Tails had not yet attained its peak power, existing only in its most rudimentary form, which accounted for its emaciated appearance.

In this nascent state, the Ten-Tails was capable of utilizing only the Tailed Beast Ball technique.

Were it to absorb the complete chakra of all nine Tailed Beasts, from Shukaku to Kurama, the Ten-Tails’ physique would become significantly more robust, and it would gain access to a devastating technique known as ”Tengai Shinsei,” capable of unleashing large-scale natural disasters.

Madara Uchiha’s face broke into a triumphant smile as he gazed upon the resurrected Ten-Tails.

In a matter of moments, he would become the most powerful ninja in the entire ninja world. Although his transformation was not yet complete, he was confident that he would be able to replenish the Tailed Beast power once he had achieved the conquest of the ninja world.

With a swift movement, Madara Uchiha tore off his armor, bringing his hands together in front of his chest, unleashing the full might of his Rinnegan’s power. He let out a thunderous roar, ”I, Madara Uchiha, shall become the second Sage of the Six Paths!”

”Six Paths — Ten-Tails Coffin Seal!”

At this critical juncture, Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki’s expressions registered a look of profound astonishment upon witnessing the emergence of a visage upon Madara Uchiha’s left chest—a facial feature that bore a striking resemblance to Hashirama Senju himself, having been formed through the fusion of gradually assimilated cells.

However, their primary concern remained the immense power that Madara Uchiha would wield upon becoming the jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails.

The incomplete Ten-Tails had already demonstrated an unparalleled level of chakra, and if this formidable power were to fall into the hands of Madara Uchiha, a ninja renowned for his exceptional combat prowess, the task of confronting him would become exponentially more challenging.

Under the influence of the Rinnegan’s power, the Ten-Tails’ entire body began to gradually liquefy, flowing towards Madara Uchiha’s back like a viscous liquid.

A circular void, resembling a black hole, materialized on Madara Uchiha’s back, slowly drawing the Ten-Tails into its depths.

This process proved to be far from effortless for Madara Uchiha. The absorption of such a colossal quantity of chakra placed an immense strain upon his body.

Madara Uchiha felt as if his body were on the verge of being torn asunder by the sheer force of the chakra, and the excruciating pain caused him to let out a series of guttural roars, his two Rinnegan eyes becoming bloodshot.

However, for Madara Uchiha, the pain was inconsequential. The overwhelming power he was acquiring filled him with an intoxicating sense of exhilaration, his bloodshot eyes blazing with fervent zeal.
