The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 100: Chapter 99: The Plan to Kill Two Birds with One Stone

Feng Qing’s face turned cold, and his expression was quite unpleasant.

Si Hua shook her head: ”It’s not the tea that’s the problem. It seems something was smeared on the rim of the teacup. That’s why the Prince had an accident after drinking.”

Feng Qing frowned. The person who poisoned was indeed clever and knew Rong Ling’s habits well. All of Rong Ling’s food and drink had to be inspected by Nan Feng first, and since Nan Feng was skilled in medicine, he would be able to detect any poison.

If Furong Drunk was added to the tea, it would have a slight fragrance.

Although very faint and undetectable to ordinary people, Nan Feng might still catch it when handing over the teacup.

So the person smeared the poison on the rim of the teacup. When the Furong Drunk doesn’t touch the water, there’s no scent, which is why Nan Feng didn’t notice it.

”Who is that person?”

With Si Qi and Si Hua looking so pale, it must be someone from her Purple Bamboo Pavilion.

Feng Qing sneered. A good plan, killing two birds with one stone, eliminating both of them in one go.

If Rong Ling died, the evidence would point to her. Regardless of whether she did it or not, Rong Ling’s guards would kill her to be buried alongside him.

In this way, both troublesome people would be eliminated.

Heh, what a well-calculated plan.

Feng Qing thought and looked at Si Qi and Si Hua. The two maids exchanged glances, their faces a bit pale.

Si Hua spoke in a low voice: ”Caiyun.”

Feng Qing was surprised. It was Caiyun, that quiet and obedient girl, who seemed so inconspicuous, yet turned out to be a hidden pawn in the Regent Prince Mansion.

Before Feng Qing could speak, Si Qi and Si Hua both asked, ”Princess Consort, what should we do now?”

Feng Qing replied indifferently: ”Just arrest Caiyun. I have a way to make her reveal who’s behind this.”

If she refuses to speak, using a bit of sedative to muddle her mind will make her talk.

But before she finished speaking, Si Hua said with a mournful face: ”Earlier, the Nanfeng Guard ordered people to capture Caiyun, only to find that she had hanged herself. Now, the Nanfeng Guard has sent people to search Caiyun’s home.”

As soon as Si Hua finished speaking, a heavy voice came from outside the door: ”Princess Consort, the Prince requests your presence.”

The people inside the room looked at each other. It had come to this point. Feng Qing didn’t avoid it, gesturing for the two maids to assist her. After she got dressed, she left the room and walked towards the Purple Bamboo Pavilion.

The room was now full of people. On the soft couch, Rong Ling, his face flushed, was leaning crookedly, his deep, dark eyes coldly watching Feng Qing as she entered.

Feng Qing appeared calm. Now that things had come to this point, worrying was useless. It was better to face it with composure. ℴ

In the room, Rong Ling saw her enter and spoke coldly: ”Feng Qing, I will give you one more chance. Are you truly not involved in this poisoning?”

Feng Qing nodded: ”I’m very sure it has nothing to do with me, and I also know that this was a plan by someone behind the scenes to kill two birds with one stone, eliminating both you and me.”

As Feng Qing spoke, her expression was increasingly impatient. Ever since she ended up in this body and became the Princess Consort of the Regent Prince Mansion, trouble had never ceased. In fact, she was someone who didn’t like trouble much.

Once this matter was resolved, she decided to leave the Regent Prince Mansion and go with Divine Doctor Zhang to the Hundred Medicine Valley, to travel the world, healing the sick. Wouldn’t that be delightful?

As Feng Qing thought longingly, on one side, Rong Ling listened to her words, his thin lips pressed into a straight line, his phoenix eyes fixed on Feng Qing. Slowly, he turned his gaze to the room, looking at the two kneeling people, a man and a woman, their eyes red, obviously very sad.
