The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 58: Chapter 58: I’ll Take You There Myself

Feng Qing pondered for a moment, then withdrew the foot she had set on the carriage, landed back on the ground, and gracefully walked over to Rong Ling’s carriage.

”Prince, is there something you need?”

Rong Ling spoke lightly, like a breeze, ”Where is the Princess Consort going?”

Feng Qing responded calmly, ”I’m feeling a bit bored staying at the Prince Mansion, so I thought I’d take a stroll through the jewelry and clothing shops.”

Feng Qing deliberately said this, knowing that men generally dislike accompanying women to jewelry and clothing shops, especially someone like Rong Ling.

But as soon as Feng Qing finished her words, Rong Ling’s gaze deepened as he stared at her, slowly speaking, ”I thought you didn’t like visiting these places.”

After his words, he pointedly glanced at the spider on Feng Qing’s face.

Feng Qing immediately understood his meaning and couldn’t help but coldly sneer internally. Ha, just because there’s a spider on her face, does it mean she can’t visit jewelry and clothing shops? Men, truly shallow.

”Prince, no matter how ugly or old a woman is, she still loves jewelry and clothes.”

She finished speaking and gave a bashful smile to show her embarrassment.

Unfortunately, she was currently skinny and dark, with half of her face covered by the spider, rendering her without any beauty, only making Rong Ling inside the carriage feel appalled. Rong Ling shuddered slightly at her bashful demeanor, then withdrew his gaze, not looking at her.

But he did command in a deep voice, ”Get in, I’ll take you there.”

Feng Qing thought she had misheard. Take her there? Did she hear correctly?

The noble Regent King actually wants to take her to the jewelry store; is she hearing things?

”Prince, did I hear correctly, you, you want to...”

Feng Qing was so stifled she couldn’t speak clearly. Sadly, the Regent Prince inside the carriage only assumed she was overly joyous and coldly warned her.

”I’m only taking you there as convenient, don’t let your imagination run wild.”

Feng Qing felt a darkness in her eyes; who wanted his company? She wanted to leave.

”Prince, I won’t trouble you, please go inside the mansion and rest.”

You hurry in, who cares about your company?

Upon hearing Feng Qing’s words, Rong Ling’s face turned somewhat unpleasant, his gaze cold, ”I dislike others disobeying my orders; if you dare to feign compliance, don’t blame me for dealing with you.”

Feng Qing’s expression darkened briefly, but realizing that this person would take her to the jewelry store, she couldn’t walk away.

Thus, a charming, shy expression quickly adorned Feng Qing’s face, she glanced at Rong Ling then hastily lowered her head, ”Prince, it’s not that I don’t want your company, but I fear that being with you for long might make me lose control and...”

Before Feng Qing could finish, a low and chilly voice of suspicion interrupted her words from inside the carriage.

”You’re not planning anything, are you?”

Before Rong Ling finished speaking, Feng Qing swiftly climbed into the carriage. Is there a way to continue playing along? If she kept on, he might suspect her of ulterior motives.

Heavens, why did she have to encounter such a guy upon crossing over; she was truly exhausted.

Inside the carriage, Rong Ling squinted at Feng Qing, full of suspicion, ”You seem strange to me.”

After his words, he abruptly spoke in a deep voice, ”You’re not thinking of running away, are you?”

Though it seemed unlikely, he hadn’t ordered her to leave, yet she was thinking of running first.

But Rong Ling remembered she had fled once before, so running again wasn’t impossible.

Upon hearing Rong Ling’s words, Feng Qing’s heart sank, a chilly feeling rose from the soles of her feet, her blood reversed flow, she almost felt the pain of her bones being shattered.
