The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 92: Chapter 91: By Force If Necessary

Feng Qing thought and felt somewhat relieved, but soon recalled Rong Ling’s poison. If it’s not unraveled, would she be in trouble? Rong Ling had an incident in the Purple Bamboo Pavilion; if he truly dies, she would be in trouble too.

Feng Qing suddenly thought of a frightening notion. That person intends for Rong Ling to die, but actually wants her dead too. If Rong Ling dies, she shouldn’t expect to survive either, because he had an incident in the Purple Bamboo Pavilion. At that time, with any random excuse, she too would be doomed.

Understanding this made Feng Qing anxious; she began pacing back and forth in the room. She turned to Si Qi and Si Hua behind her: ”You two go to the Flower Hall outside and keep an eye out, see what’s happening over there.”

Si Qi and Si Hua responded affirmatively, turned and ran out, while Feng Qing anxiously awaited the news.

In the Flower Hall of the Purple Bamboo Pavilion, Nan Feng again examined Rong Ling but still found no traces of poisoning. He couldn’t help but be anxious, looking at Nan Xuan and said: ”Can’t find any traces at all.”

”Why did that woman say the Prince is poisoned?”

And the Prince doesn’t look well, but why can’t traces of poisoning be found?

Seeing the Prince in pain made Nan Feng anxious. However, with his medical skills, he couldn’t find any traces of poisoning. What to do now?

”Why not enter the palace and ask the Imperial Physician to come to the mansion?”

Nan Feng spoke in a deep voice, but Nan Xuan immediately shook his head: ”You forgot that woman previously said Marquis Jing’an suggested to the Emperor to remove our Prince. Now the Prince suddenly becomes like this, I suspect the Little Emperor in the palace ordered someone to do it. If we enter the palace to ask the Imperial Physician, wouldn’t it harm the Prince.”

Nan Feng became more anxious: ”Then what to do now?”

Nan Xuan raised his eyebrows and spoke solemnly: ”I will immediately go to Xiangguo Temple to invite Abbot Xianzhao to the Regent Prince Mansion.”

Nan Feng’s face immediately changed: ”A few days ago, the Abbot sent a message saying he went out traveling.”

Nan Xuan’s face turned angry black and he raised his hand to slam the table beside him: ”How could it be so coincidental?”

A guard behind Nan Xuan suddenly spoke: ”Brother Nan Feng, I heard some news. Divine Doctor Zhang of the Hundred Medicine Valley is currently in the Elder Mansion. It seems Elder Xia’s wife has diabetes, and Divine Doctor Zhang owes Elder Xia a favor, so he secretly went to the Elder Mansion to treat his wife’s diabetes.”

Once the guard finished speaking, Nan Feng and Nan Xuan’s eyes lit up, simultaneously staring at the guard who spoke: ”Is the news true?”

The guard whispered: ”It’s from a maid working in the Elder Mansion, who said it. It should be accurate.”

Nan Feng immediately looked at Nan Xuan: ”You take people to the Elder Mansion, bring Divine Doctor Zhang here. If he doesn’t come, bind him if you must. Make sure not to disturb Elder Xia.”

Elder Xia is a member of the Royalist Party, usually among those who make the loudest calls for the Prince to return power to Your Majesty.

If Elder Xia finds out our Prince is poisoned, even if it kills him, he wouldn’t let Divine Doctor Zhang come to treat our Prince. So we can only discreetly bring him here, and if necessary, bind him if he refuses.

In the Flower Hall, Nan Xuan looked at Rong Ling. Rong Ling was not yet unconscious. Although the pain left him somewhat disoriented, he was still rational and gritted his teeth, saying: ”Go.”

Nan Xuan turned, and several people walked out briskly, while Rong Ling ordered Nan Feng: ”Investigate. Find out where exactly the poison was administered?”
