The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Shopping

No way, I can’t let this guy think like that, Feng Qing quickly said.

”Prince, what are you thinking? Why would I, a dignified Regent Queen, run away? Before, I ran because I was afraid the flower sedan chair switch would fall on me, that’s why I ran. Now that the switch has been uncovered, what am I afraid of? Besides, if I were to run, how could I possibly leave without taking anything?”

Rong Ling glanced at her. Indeed, she didn’t have any baggage, so he didn’t say anything more.

Feng Qing breathed a sigh of relief in her heart and asked Rong Ling gently, ”Isn’t the Prince supposed to be dealing with court affairs? How come you have time to come back?”

Rong Ling leaned casually against the carriage wall and replied, ”Just don’t feel like it.”

Ever since he learned that the flower sedan chair switch was orchestrated by the Emperor, his interest in court matters waned. Moreover, earlier Feng Qing mentioned the Feng Family suggesting the Little Emperor to get rid of him, which made him even more reluctant to act. Now, he only wants to know whether his Emperor nephew will truly make a move against him.

If this is true, why would he still help Rong Che manage the affairs of the state? Even though he has tirelessly assisted him, Rong Che actually intends to take his life.

Ha, if this is indeed the case, Rong Che is truly heartless.

Inside the carriage, Feng Qing no longer cared about Rong Ling’s affairs, silently thinking about her own issues. She could have quietly left, but now she can’t. The more she thinks, the more frustrated she feels. Moreover, she really doesn’t want to browse jewelry and clothing stores.

Feng Qing laments her plight. In her past life, she was different from others. While others liked to visit jewelry, clothes, and jewelry shops, she enjoyed hanging out at pharmacies and herbal medicine centers.

Unexpectedly, in this life, she’s forced to visit jewelry and clothing stores. Nonetheless, during the shopping trip, she must remember not to reveal any flaws.

If Rong Ling discovers she doesn’t like these places, he might suspect her ulterior motives.

Feng Qing just feels life is exhausting. On the side of the carriage, Rong Ling has turned to look at her, asking, ”Which jewelry store do you want to go to?”

Feng Qing immediately pulled a big smile and said, ”I don’t know where there is a jewelry store, Prince, feel free to take me to one.”

As Feng Qing’s voice fell, she thought, Rong Ling said he’ll take her to a jewelry store, but he definitely won’t enter with her. If he doesn’t go in with her, wouldn’t she have the chance to leave again?

Feng Qing thought about this and felt much better, looking at Rong Ling with a face full of smiles.

Rong Ling thought for a moment and then instructed the coachman outside, ”Go to Yujin Street.”

Yujin Street is the most bustling street in the Imperial City. Along the ten-mile-long street, shop after shop lines up, mostly selling jewelry, clothes, and rouge items.

Feng Qing quickly recalled information about Yujin Street from her memory; it’s a bustling street in the Imperial City, mostly selling jewelry, jade, clothes, rouge, and powder items, very lively.

Though it’s lively, the shops on this street sell the most expensive things, not a place ordinary families dare to enter.

Feng Qing didn’t mind. Although she had no money, she wasn’t buying anything, just browsing.

The carriage stopped outside a jewelry store, Feng Qing glanced at Rong Ling and said, ”If the Prince is busy, feel free to go. I’ll just shop around with Si Qi.”

Rong Ling responded lightly, ”Hmm.”

Feng Qing lifted the curtain and got off the carriage. Outside, Si Qi helped her down, and the master and servant walked toward the jewelry shop.

Behind, Nan Feng asked Rong Ling, ”Prince, should we head back to the mansion now or...?”
