Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Black Light Instant Release!

Legas swung his spear, descending like a missile, his eyes ablaze with furious rage. The spear tip aimed straight at the head of the Black River Sovereign, seemingly wishing to pierce it in one strike to avenge his own kind.

However, facing Legas’s fierce onslaught, the Black River Sovereign merely shook his head with a smile.

Dim green smoke drifted from his body, instantly sealing off all paths of advancement for Legas.

”Boom!” A loud explosion!

Legas crashed cleanly against the wall of green smoke with sparks flying and stench spreading. In a short time, Legas’s body, even his weapon, was enveloped in the horrifying poisonous fog.

Breathing became rapid, his eyes turned green, and his fingertips grew numb. Only when Legas used Origin Energy did he resolve the abnormal state afflicting him.

The disparity in conventional power was as clear as day, but the gap in Origin Energy stock...

Sorry, a Level 11 powerful expert like Legas, who rose through normal channels, seemingly can’t compare with the world’s will.

The overall gap left Legas at an absolute disadvantage just after engaging the Black River Sovereign!

This battle is unwinnable...

For Legas, who has always been proud, realizing the gap between himself and the Black River Sovereign is undoubtedly a second heavy blow. He instantly withdrew his spear, then retreated swiftly, breaking through the green poisonous fog’s blockade and returning to his original location.

”I think you might consider your earlier proposal, the ten-for-one deal.”

The situation is simple enough. Originally, Legas thought he was capable; at the very least, in a hard steel confrontation, he wasn’t afraid of this lowly Soot Skin Demon Fiend, the Black River Sovereign. However, when reality presented itself, Legas decisively shrank.

Anger, face, these random things, seemingly aren’t as important as life...

Legas feigned calmness, but the words he uttered provoked a burst of laughter from the Black River Sovereign!

”This matter isn’t so easily resolved. Haven’t you noticed? Your godfather, Philip, hasn’t appeared here. I don’t know which place you’ve offended him again, but to be honest, I think, with your personality, temperament, strength, ability, in every aspect, you’re not worthy to compare with us. In the past, out of respect for Philip, I showed you courtesy! I never thought you’d throw it away!”

”So, do you know what’s going to happen today?”

”You will tremble under my power, wail, and ultimately turn into a pool of poisonous water! Kid, next life, absolutely remember not to be so arrogant!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Legas was heavily injured!

...

The green poisonous fog swirling at Legas’s feet instantly transformed into a surging river, the green stream rushing forward, instantly overtaking Legas.

The toxic fumes made Legas dizzy, his vision darkened, and he struggled to control his Black Flame. However, when Black Flame collided with Green Water, it was to no avail.

Absolute power crushed him, the density of Origin Energy likewise crushed him, and Legas could only watch as the river extinguished his flame, enveloping his face in an instant!

”Sizzle...”

Like strong acid corroding pork, emitting a nauseating sour stench, as the green water flowed over, Legas’s defensive field collapsed in an instant, afterward his skin split open, he screamed loudly, then Black Flame surged, dragging Legas in a frantic run to the distance!

In just one exchange, Legas was nearly obliterated!

Seeing this scene, the Black River Sovereign merely snorted disdainfully. The green poisonous water quickly retracted to his sides, then infused into his body.

In a short time, the Black River Sovereign’s body inflated like a balloon, with green liquid circulating endlessly inside like blood, until the Black River Sovereign’s height grew to over thirty meters before stopping.

He watched Legas fleeing into the distance with a cold smile, then green water surged beneath his feet, swiftly pursuing Legas.

Today, he, or rather they, were not at all prepared to let Legas escape!

...

Legas was miserable, furious, then...

Afraid!

He hadn’t thought that between the two who are ranked at the bottom of the Topmost 7-Member Council of the Demon Clan Army, the gap could be so vast. At this moment, faced with the Black River Sovereign’s unrelenting pursuit—no, this was merely a cat playing with a mouse—Legas appeared at a loss.

Return to his own territory?

What a joke!

On his own turf, there isn’t anyone who can stop the Black River Sovereign.

Then where to go?

Legas immediately thought of his godfather, Philip.

As the president of the Topmost 7-Member Council of the Demon Clan Army, Philip’s strength is beyond question. Perhaps this is the only presence that can save his life right now!

Behind him, the Black River Sovereign waved gently, as green light splashed, a water sword formed from green toxic water slashed from behind, striking Legas’s leg before he could react.

Blood spurted out, Legas’s leg was cleanly torn apart, the remaining poisonous water spread upward, as if to pollute Legas’s blood.

Legas could only gnash his teeth fiercely, ruthlessly severing his leg at its base, then under the recovery ability’s effect, regrew a complete new leg.

Though not in mortal danger, he passively took a beating, utterly powerless to retaliate.

Legas felt aggrieved, but it seems he underestimated the extent of his grievance today...

After Legas voluntarily abandoned hundreds of ”legs,” Philip’s palace was faintly in sight in the distance, like a drowning man grasping at a straw; Legas instantly accelerated, then ”bang,” crashed into the extremely high-intensity defense barrier.

Ordinary defense barriers simply can’t withstand the impact of a Level 11 powerful expert, however, this time, the barrier appearing outside Philip’s palace not only blocked Legas’s advance but also heavily injured him.

The one who took action was self-evident...

”Scram!”

A roar of anger dashed all of Legas’s hopes; he widened his eyes, staring fiercely at the palace, as if wanting to penetrate the walls and see his backing residing within.

”It’s me, godfather...”

Legas uttered his last cry, yet a gale abruptly swept in, containing mighty Origin Energy, leaving Legas powerless as it blew him far away.

Evidently, in Philip’s eyes, his godson seemingly isn’t worth much... or perhaps he found a better godson...

”QNMLGBD...”

In the end, Philip didn’t go to extremes; the gust casually swept by him blew Legas in the opposite direction to the Black River Sovereign. Though Legas cursed, his body was honest, weighing his options briefly, he settled on his escape route.

Desolate Border...

Perhaps only there can he have a place to barely survive.
