Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

This time, the fusion took much longer than the first time, and Wen Yu and Tang One could only wait quietly. After a moment, when Tang Four’s body turned to ashes, Tang Three opened his eyes once again.

”How is it?”

Faced with the question from Wen Yu and Tang One, Tang Three squinted his eyes for a moment, then nodded.

”How should I put it, it’s not a big problem... this guy doesn’t really have any beliefs or goals, but his desire to kill is quite strong...”

Hearing this, Tang One exhaled a breath of relief, smiled at Wen Yu, and nodded slightly, seemingly believing that his method was quite effective.

Wen Yu merely smiled along with Tang One, then looked at Tang Three again.

”Are you sure you can control the evil thoughts within you?”

The principle of this method was now clear to Wen Yu—it was essentially a battle of beliefs, determining whether the good side or the evil side would dominate.

However, this matter was not absolute; or rather, nothing would bring absolute benefits or absolute harm—just as Tang Haofei himself said, people have two sides, two parts of a whole. One side winning merely means it’s in control, but it can’t expel the other aspect of its nature. The bomb is still there, just cloaked in a colorful camouflage.

Upon hearing Wen Yu’s questioning and his skeptical gaze, Tang Three remained silent for a moment.

”I can only try.”

”Yeah, you’d better succeed.”

Wen Yu said this, then with a flicker of his figure, he disappeared.

...

About three minutes later, Wen Yu returned, carrying two Tang Haofeis who appeared normal. Besides these, two demonized Tang Haofeis followed Wen Yu.

Two good, two evil, just the right balance.

Wen Yu waved his hand, throwing the two evil-emotion Tang Haofeis to the ground. Tang Three immediately stepped forward, touching one of them.

The third fusion began.

A moment later, as the fusion concluded, Tang Three’s body unexpectedly shook. He opened his eyes, the corners filled with bloodshot veins, his expression fierce and murderous, causing Wen Yu to purse his lips.

He was still uncontrollable...

At this moment, Wen Yu’s thoughts were racing. He wanted to eliminate Tang Haofei entirely in the World of the Heart’s Image, but no matter what, Wen Yu couldn’t think of a method.

And on the day the Dominator returns, He will certainly keep a tight watch over his two pawns. In the outside world, the possibility of killing Tang Haofei is uncertain, and more consideration must be given...

With Old Tang’s current power, Wen Yu feared he wouldn’t be able to achieve an instant kill, and if he failed to kill in one strike, the Dominator might intervene directly, while Tang Haofei also possessed resurrection ability...

These considerations flashed through Wen Yu’s mind quickly. Just as Wen Yu’s thoughts spun rapidly, one of the demonized Tang Haofeis suddenly stepped forward, grasping Tang Three’s right hand. As the fourth fusion ended, the bloodshot veins in Tang Three’s eyes immediately faded away.

”That was close.”

He patted his chest and said, familiar expression and slightly raised smile showing a resemblance to the Tang Haofei Wen Yu knew.

And Wen Yu merely smiled along in agreement.

The smile was sincere and harmless, appearing as a blessing to an old friend. But if Fran, who had assisted Wen Yu for thirty-five years, were present, he would notice the murderous intent hidden deep within Wen Yu’s expression.

Killing him isn’t possible... but the threat of Tang Haofei is indeed real.

It is not only a threat to this world but also to Wen Yu himself.

Now, the very existence of Tang Haofei is simply a mistake!

...

The fifth and sixth fusions passed quickly. During this time, Wen Yu went out once more and caught a few more Tang Haofeis.

As the fusion deepened, Tang Three’s aura continued to increase. Naturally, there were also moments when he couldn’t control the evil thoughts. Tang One was slightly anxious about this but considered it a natural reaction in the course of fusion. Meanwhile, Wen Yu merely hid his own thoughts, helping Tang Haofei refine his ”grand plan”.

Wen Yu had already confirmed that within the World of the Heart’s Image, he couldn’t eliminate Tang Haofei. In the Dominator’s external existence, the possibility was slightly higher, but still pitifully low. To this, Wen Yu could only plan for the long term.

So, as time passed, with Wen Yu guarding this place, combined with the two main threats—Tang N and Tang Big Fool—fighting elsewhere, soon, all Tang Haofeis except the two were completely captured by Wen Yu and fused with Tang Three.

The result...

Aligned with Tang One’s expectations.

He scrutinized the finished product before him seriously, the two of them sitting opposite each other, communicating and chatting happily—at least, this fused version of Tang Haofei didn’t have much ideological difference from Tang One.

”So, what next? Do you need my help to deal with the two guys up there?”

Wen Yu said this—purely in terms of strength, Wen Yu was capable of crushing Tang N and Tang Big Fool.

Hearing this, Tang One slowly shook his head, then extended his right hand, clasping it with Tang Three’s right hand, saying as such.

”Thanks, brother, from here on, it’s my battle.”

With that, the fusion between Tang One and Tang Three had begun.

...

This time, the fusion took longer than Wen Yu had expected.

During this time, Wen Yu simply watched as the demon-shaped Tang One and the restored Tang Three stood before him. For a moment, Wen Yu’s eyes slowly turned sharp.

The past friendship, Wen Yu naturally kept in mind, but feelings were feelings. Wen Yu was never someone deeply sentimental, and considering all current circumstances, Wen Yu believed he needed to undermine Tang Haofei—to ruin him completely. If he couldn’t kill him, at least weaken Tang Haofei significantly, making him unable to use his power!

To this, Wen Yu currently had no solution, but he thought that he could go back and consult Lin Haifeng about it—regarding Tang Haofei as an unstable factor, no, now correctly described as an erroneous existence, Lin Haifeng would certainly hold the same view as Wen Yu.

As time slowly passed, after a moment, Tang One’s body suddenly shivered, then turned to ashes, while Tang Three slowly opened his eyes.

First, he looked at his own palms, then patted his own body, while Wen Yu simply watched Tang Haofei’s actions silently. A moment later, Tang Haofei looked up, meeting Wen Yu’s gaze.

”Success?”

Faced with Wen Yu’s inquiry, Tang Haofei suddenly smiled broadly. He stood up, in a few steps reaching Wen Yu, and wrapped his arms around Wen Yu, saying with a smile.

”I am back again, my brother.”

”Then should I say... welcome home?”

A ”smack” sound.

Tang Haofei quickly kissed Wen Yu on the cheek, then held Wen Yu’s shoulders with both hands, his eyes showing unabashed gratitude.

”Thank you!”

”It was the least I could do.”
