Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”What should I do?”

After Wen Yu asked, the Dominator stood up and gestured for Wen Yu to come next to Tang Haofei. Then, He pointed to Tang Haofei and spoke to Wen Yu.

”Your skill system belongs to the spirit-based category, and for invading someone’s Soul World, I believe you’re more adept than I am. Now, you need to enter Tang Haofei’s World of the Heart’s Image and help him sort out the issues within.”

As the Dominator spoke, Wen Yu understood — this was about forcibly invading Tang Haofei’s World of the Heart’s Image, something Wen Yu had done before.

However...

”Can’t you do it yourself?”

Wen Yu didn’t voice this question. He simply looked at Tang Haofei, nodded after a while, indicating he understood what to do.

The Dominator merely smiled at Wen Yu, patted his shoulder with a ’I believe in you’ expression, and slowly stepped aside.

Watching Tang Haofei lying on the ground, Wen Yu sighed softly, as a murderous intent surged at that moment. However, the Dominator’s gaze behind him firmly locked onto Wen Yu’s next move.

Why would He let Wen Yu resolve Tang Haofei’s issues here?

It was nothing but worry that Wen Yu might pull some sly trick of ’act first, report later’...

Helpless, Wen Yu could only close his eyes.

...

Soul Power began to spread, like threads, wrapping around Tang Haofei’s head. For a moment, Wen Yu felt his consciousness rapidly surging with the Soul Power, rushing into Tang Haofei’s mind.

Endless light and shadow flashed by until a barrier appeared in front. Wen Yu exerted force, directly breaking through the barrier, and the next second, everything before his eyes drastically changed.

The gray sky glimmered with pale purple Thunder, and the mainland bloc as vast as Eurasia had collapsed, splintering into dozens of smaller islands, with energy fluctuations recklessly drifting across some, seemingly tearing everything in the World of the Heart’s Image apart.

Wen Yu’s keen eyes even spotted over a dozen ”Tang Haofei” engaged in battles.

However, these Tang Haofei’s appearances differed greatly from how was known.

Some retained human form, with smooth skin and eyes emitting red light, while others, though still exuding Tang Haofei’s aura, were covered in Scale Armor, with Demonic Qi coldly glaring, presenting a Demon Tribe posture.

Witnessing this scene, Wen Yu took a deep breath and glanced towards the courtyard where Tang One and Tang Two once resided.

The formerly exquisite little wooden house had entirely collapsed, leaving only a transparent pit that pierced the mainland bloc, and correspondingly, the barrier set to seal Tang Four had disappeared without a trace.

Clearly, the World of the Heart’s Image has undergone changes... Whether good or bad remains open to discussion...

...

”Wen Yu! Wen Yu!!!”

A series of terrifying roars pulled Wen Yu back to reality from his contemplation. He looked down and saw a flicker of Thunder in the distance, and soon, a normal-looking figure of Tang Haofei appeared beside him.

The red light in this Tang Haofei’s eyes was intense and filled with murderous intent, making Wen Yu raise an eyebrow.

”Who are you?”

Though he didn’t know which Tang this Haofei was, his attitude towards him revealed quite clearly the distinction of friend or foe.

”I’m Tang Four! Surprised, aren’t you? I’m back, and this time, I...”

Before finishing his sentence, Tang Four felt a flash of Black Light before his eyes, and the next second, darkness enveloped the sky as a black eggshell surrounded him. No matter how he tried to escape, he could not break free from the darkness energy’s constraints.

Wen Yu stood beside the newly woven seal, watching Tang Four’s futile struggle within. After a moment, he shook his head.

Tang Four’s power hasn’t progressed much...

Thinking so, Wen Yu looked towards the Void.

Within the Void, two different figures were entangled and intertwined, sending out roaring Energy Waves that even Wen Yu felt tricky to handle.

This is indeed the focus of this battle... well, the thirty-year-long focus...

”So, due to some unknown reason, there was internal chaos within the World of the Heart’s Image, with Tang Four being released... Besides, yes, he’s got his little brothers...”

At the time of Tang Four’s sealing, he was in a Union state. In plain sight, Wen Yu only sealed Tang Four, but in reality, it was tens of Tang Haofei merging with Tang Four being sealed.

”So now... where is Tang One?”

After contemplating for a while, Wen Yu understood his current priority. He expanded his Perception Ability, and soon detected three faint auras flowing slowly within one mainland bloc.

”Smart indeed.”

Wen Yu chuckled lightly.

...

When Wen Yu entered the depths of where Tang One, Tang Two, and Tang Three were once sealed, what he saw were three pitiful, helpless figures huddled together.

”It’s you again, brother. I knew when I was in trouble, you’d surely appear before me.”

Of the three, one spoke first, making Wen Yu raise an eyebrow upon hearing.

”I’m Tang One.”

He said so.

Following this, another immediately raised his hand.

”Tang Two.”

”Roar, roar...”

Tang Three, drooling with chains, introduced himself with a vicious expression on his face.

These three unfortunate comrades, in such brutal battles outside, were utterly out of place.

”So, you’re...”

Wen Yu pointed to the black Scale Armor on the three and asked puzzled.

”Negative effects from the Conversion.”

Tang Two replied concisely, his face turning blue.

Wen Yu merely shrugged, indicating this had nothing to do with him.

Then, Wen Yu straightened up and looked at Tang Haofei, speaking solemnly.

”The Dominator has ordered me to bring you out.”

This sudden statement made Tang One stop, looking at Wen Yu with confusion as if he couldn’t understand why Wen Yu was mixed up with the Dominator.

Seeing this, Wen Yu chuckled bitterly.

”We’re in trouble, but before that, I think it’s necessary to understand exactly what went wrong with you...”

...

What happened in the World of the Heart’s Image is simple to summarize.

Tang One and Tang Two used the Conversion as an excuse to attack Tang N, the battle process initially smooth, with the Rebel Army led by Tang Big Fool indeed suppressing Tang N, however, amid the erupting Energy Waves, Tang Four’s seal was broken — the seal set by Wen Yu back then could not withstand the current destruction from Tang N and Tang Big Fool...

The situation here became increasingly difficult to rein in.

The newly emerged dozen or so Tang Haofei decisively sided with Tang N, and Tang Four’s new technology — transferring force and Union amplification among various Tang Haofei — was handed over to Tang N in one go. Seeing the unfavorable turn, Tang One and Tang Two fled to the cave where Tang Three was.
