Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The survival history of a world is also the personal history of the Heart Lock, Sequence Number 1 of Heart Scar World.

Indeed, in Wen Yu’s view, this intelligence, compiled from countless sources, should be the life deeds of the Heart Lock—brief, yet nothing essential was missed.

As Wen Yu finished reading the material, Fran finally spoke.

”Did you notice anything strange?”

Wen Yu nodded.

”Two summons by the Dominator: one broke the ultimate sealing plan, the other resulted in Heart Lock’s disappearance... this...”

Wen Yu’s mind vaguely recalled something, but it seemed quite indistinct.

”Yes, definitely something happened here, but there are no more detailed reports... If you ask what’s different, this Heart Lock differs somewhat from information we have on other worlds’ Sequence Number 1.”

Wen Yu continued in silence, while Fran kept talking.

”His power completely overwhelms Sequence Number 2, Sequence Number 3; in Heart Scar World, there’s no match for him. However, in most worlds, the disparity between sequences isn’t as significant. According to the information we previously collected on three different worlds’ Sequence Number 1, their strength isn’t vastly different from Sequence Number 2, Sequence Number 3, or even Sequence Number 10.”

Yanjing had naturally collected secret history data from other worlds before, but Heart Lock obviously differs from other worlds’ Sequence Number 1.

”Power!”

Right as Fran finished speaking, Wen Yu almost simultaneously spoke, clenching his fists tightly, suddenly recalling something else!

Almighty Immortal Emperor!

To say Heart Lock is the first Sequence Number 1 from another world Wen Yu has learned of, that’s incorrect. The first should be Almighty Immortal Emperor!

Regarding his lifetime, while Wen Yu wouldn’t claim complete clarity, he knows quite extensively.

Judging by strength, if Yanjing’s gathered Sequence Number 1 data falls into the ordinary category, then Heart Lock and Immortal Emperor should belong to another tier!

That signifies dominance across ages, unmatched by any!

And among so many treasure lands, why does Star Praying only mention Heart Scar... Heavenly Palace... among a few specific lands?

The available data is still too little, but if a hypothesis is made that it’s rated based on the strength tier of some world’s past Sequence Number 1, then there’s some problem here!

Upon thinking this, Wen Yu immediately sat down, picked up pen and paper, while recalling in his mind the lifetime of the Almighty Immortal Emperor.

...

As memories continuously surged, the Immortal Emperor whom Wen Yu saw in Heavenly Dao memory and murals gradually materialized on the paper.

Fran simply stood quietly by watching, but as Wen Yu wrote more, Fran’s brows furrowed deeper.

He knew nothing of the Immortal Emperor; this being his first time encountering the Immortal Emperor’s life somehow gave him an odd feeling.

”Seems... alike...”

Only when Wen Yu set down his pen did Fran finally sigh, as Wen Yu, looking at the recorded life of the Immortal Emperor on the paper, also nodded.

”Very alike, right? That’s precisely how it should be!”

Dominance across ages alike, lifting mountains alike, suppression of demon plague alike...

And similarly...

Two summons by the Dominator!

”First... what the Dominator said to the Immortal Emperor, I don’t know, but when the Immortal Emperor returned, he issued the warning of never becoming Sequence Number 1 again, simultaneously lifting his seal on the Demon Realm’s Gate!”

”First, what the Dominator told Heart Lock, I don’t know either, but Heart Lock returned to lift the ultimate sealing plan, reigniting the demon plague!”

”Commonality?”

Fran articulately pointed out the similarities between the two.

”The Demon Tribe has already been dealt with!”

”Indeed, the Demon Tribe was dealt with...”

Regardless of sealing or locking, the result brought was singular—no longer a catastrophe or calamity!

In light of such changes, the Dominator initiated summons to these two supreme beings...

”This is a threat.”

Fran reported the content of the Dominator’s meeting with them—a threat... there’s only this possibility.

Threatened them to unlock the seal, for failure to do so would yield far graver consequences than the demon plague.

Like choosing between imminent death and a stay of execution, most would choose the latter because hope lies in life...

”Thus the seal is broken, demon plague resumed, and ultimately, the two had a difference in outcome here.”

Fran pointed out the differences between Immortal Emperor and Heart Lock, whereas Wen Yu briskly explained.

”Strength; due to strength, the Immortal Emperor is much stronger than Heart Lock.”

”Thus, the Dominator’s second summons to the Immortal Emperor rather resembles him forcefully storming the gates!”

”No, there’s still an issue here...”

Fran also shared his view.

”Given the Dominator’s threat in the first summons, why did the Immortal Emperor return and defy the Dominator? Wasn’t he afraid the Dominator would materialize the threats of the first summons?”

Wen Yu shook his head, not answering Fran’s question.

At that time, the Immortal Emperor had already aligned with the Demon Lord, leaving behind the Universe of Immortals and Heroes reboot plan, and Bai utilized this plan to ”resurrect” Universe of Immortals and Heroes. Wen Yu didn’t know of the situation then, but regarding the Immortal Emperor’s character—Wen Yu wasn’t certain, yet surely wouldn’t describe him with ”foolish.”

Fighting the Dominator may have been viewed by the Immortal Emperor as the best choice then.

Seeing Wen Yu’s stance, Fran also realized certain secrets Wen Yu was disinclined to disclose. He bypassed this topic and compared their second summons...

”Faced with crumbling warfare, the Dominator initiated the second summons, or rather second meeting, leading to the Immortal Emperor’s death and Heart Lock’s disappearance, yet their ultimate fates appeared identical externally.”

”From now on, these individuals ceased to exist in the world...”

”Then arises the question, what did the Dominator truly convey to these world’s foremost beings in the second summons?”

This is the crux of the puzzle, likely tied to the secret of the Dominator.

”Three possibilities.”

Once more, Fran offered answers.

”One, killed them. But this possibility is minuscule, negligible even.”

Possibility exists, perhaps the Dominator relishes this raising and then slaying thrill?

But this irrational reasoning Wen Yu personally disfavored believing.

”Two, under disadvantageous circumstances, recruit them as Treasure Land Protectors, this possibility... isn’t small!”

It indeed isn’t small...

Yet, recalling the Immortal Emperor’s past grandeur, then thinking of Lin Sai’s state back then, Wen Yu considered and deemed this possibility not large either.

Lin Sai, being Sequence Number 1 of Lindsay World, truly falls into the ordinary category regarding actual strength in Wen Yu’s view.

Moreover, were the Dominator to possess several henchmen of Heart Lock’s caliber, the storms caused by the Immortal Emperor’s past actions wouldn’t have been instigated so severely.

One-on-one might lose, but ten-on-one should at least merit a fight. But based on memory images... the Immortal Emperor was killing effortlessly, encountering no worthy resistance at Treasure Land Protectors’ place.

In other words, at the time, the Dominator did not have Treasure Land Protectors of Heavenly Pride caliber.
