Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

He understood that Legas had already set his suspicions on the Black River Sovereign, but the current situation was a bit complicated.

”The Black River Sovereign is someone we are striving to win over. Due to your unwise actions at the last meeting, recently, the Black River Sovereign has already met with the Demon Spirit privately three times. Legas, think about our grand ambition, one son is nothing. You are still young, and you have hundreds of sons. You can always pick one worth grooming.”

”I hope you can make the right choice.”

It was called persuasion, but in reality a threat. However, in front of Philip, Legas indeed couldn’t rise in revolt; he could only nod begrudgingly, swallowing his anger.

This state remained until Legas returned to his residence and heard everything that had happened today...

”Today, the Black River Sovereign sent an Elite Team to pierce into Pierde City, arresting 33 people, 11 fled. Your son, Feyler, is suspected to be missing and is nowhere to be found...”

Upon hearing this news, Legas’ blood boiled, and he understood the cause and effect of his eldest son’s death.

However, what made Legas most grief-stricken was yet to come!

At dinner, the caretaker reported.

”Your second son, Pro, died at home, in the same manner as Mr. Lase.”

Legas took a heavy gasp.

”Your third son, fourth son...”

”Good news” came one after another, and Legas went from fury to calm, and finally to silence...

His expression was calm, yet black flames crazily shot out from each pore, moving around like living creatures, devouring everything they touched.

The whole family was wiped out! A lonely man!

Legas, originally a stallion, had all his seeds uprooted by Wen Yu!

Now, Legas no longer needed to know the truth. What he wanted was merely to vent his anger!

He had to kill something...

He had to make someone pay...

The rage drowned his sanity, so Legas stood up and flew into the distance under the trembling gaze of his servant.

...

Within the top seven meetings of the Demon Clan Army, Legas’ strength was the weakest, and his power was the smallest. As a result, the intelligence organization under him wasn’t considered strong.

Even the things happening to Legas’ descendants, the other six people heard this ”good news” at nearly the same time as Legas.

Philip was furious, seemingly unable to imagine the Black River Sovereign would commit such an act of family massacre.

The Demon Spirit showed a thoughtful look, seemingly connecting the current situation with some intelligence returned by a carbon copy.

And the ”Principal”, ”Black River Sovereign”, was struck dumb by the news, suddenly realizing that something was out of control. Spiritual Fluctuation instantaneously connected with the Demon Spirit’s main body, but he got no effective response.

The moment the Black River Sovereign hung up the communication with the Demon Spirit, external alarms had already sounded.

...

Legas’ speed was extremely fast.

From his mansion to where the Black River Sovereign was, Legas took a total of about ten minutes.

Crossing nearly half the map of the Demon Realm, Legas’ power was undeniable, and his execution ability couldn’t be underestimated.

When he flew to the sky above the Black River Sovereign’s mansion, countless barriers and seals rained down, but they turned to ashes with a flick of Legas’ finger.

”There is a misunderstanding here, Legas, I acted with restraint.”

The voice came from below the mansion. This voice, Legas recognized it, yet the nearly pleading words of the Black River Sovereign only elicited a slight smile from Legas.

”Boom!”

Instantly, black Devil Flame erupted, countless flaming dragons formed from black flames burst from every pore of Legas, these flaming dragons swept across the ground in an instant, turning the luxurious mansion into a pool of magma.

In just a moment, the vast mansion of the Black River Sovereign was left with only a hunched Soot Skin Demon Fiend.

That was the true body of the Black River Sovereign...

Being an Old Demon elder than Legas, being a chosen host for one of the Demon Spirit’s carbon copies, the Black River Sovereign’s strength, whether out in the open or hidden, was above Legas.

At this moment, the Black River Sovereign did not show any signs of heartache or anger, he merely looked around, then looked up into the air. Facing the furious Legas, the Black River Sovereign simply spat out a series of numbers.

”Five official wives, thirty-two offspring, just now, all these people I mentioned lived in this mansion, and were killed in one blow by you, but I don’t blame you.”

”I know what happened to you, your current emotions are understandable, I want to say the culprit was not me, there’s an issue here.”

”If, and I’m saying if, my answer is not enough to calm your anger, I can offer more descendants at a 1:10 ratio. For every child of yours that dies, I’ll give you ten descendants to ease your anger.”

The Black River Sovereign’s words were indeed openhearted. In fact, now the Black River Sovereign didn’t feel any heartache for those descendants.

Firstly, the real Black River Sovereign had already perished; the one here was merely one of the Demon Spirit’s carbon copies.

Secondly, the Black River Sovereign was a Soot Skin Demon Fiend, a race where producing a powerful expert was rare, and what they prided themselves on was their terrifying reproductive ability.

With tens of thousands of descendants, not to mention the current Black River Sovereign, even the former Black River Sovereign wouldn’t care.

However, Legas was fundamentally different from the Black River Sovereign.

He just stared at the Old Demon below, undisguised jealousy and hatred in his eyes.

The Soot Skin Demon Fiend had a strong reproduction ability, but the Ancient Demon’s reproduction ability was not considered strong.

Someone exterminated his entire family, but even if the Black River Sovereign had tens of thousands of offspring, his bloodline wouldn’t perish like this.

And additionally, Lei Si...

What pained Legas most was still his eldest son.

That was a Level 11 seed! A potential stronger than himself! Does the Black River Sovereign have such a level of descendants?

No! The entire Soot Skin Demon Fiend tribe doesn’t!

This seemingly open-hearted compensation plan was built on conditions that were unequal in every aspect!

Therefore.

”There’s simply nothing to talk about here!”

In a fit of rage, Legas extended his right hand, countless flaming dragons coiling around him all raised their heads high, they roared with exaltation, gradually merging into a pure black longspear.

The Black River Sovereign, seeing the increasingly fierce aura on Legas, merely squinted his eyes, gazing intently at the junior above... until the Demon Spirit’s voice sounded in his mind.

”He wants to fight? Then kill him, and it would be an opportunity to push Bell up.”

Indeed, this was the most pathetic part...

Legas’s position was not irreplaceable; in the eyes of the Demon Spirit, even in Philip’s eyes, so-called Legas was but a small character — this was evident from how Philip and others had yet to arrive...

Perhaps now, the Demon Spirit and Philip had long started another battlefield struggle — after Legas’s abdication, who would fill his vacancy.

Therefore, facing the battle-thirsty Legas, the Black River Sovereign slowly raised a smile.

”You asked for this!”

He said this.
