Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

If we’re talking about who, on the whole Earth, understands the process of becoming Level 11 the best, first place is Bai—this old monster himself is a Level 11 powerful expert. And second place is definitely the Demigod, no question!

With Earth’s will at his back, the Demigod’s road to Level 11 should’ve been smooth sailing—that’s exactly how he saw it. And just a few days ago, Earth’s Will was preparing to send the Demigod a big fat gift package.

A baptism by Origin Energy!

According to Earth’s Will, if you want to become a Level 11 powerful expert, this step is absolutely indispensable—use Origin Energy to scour the body, purge the impurities inside the human body, thereby gaining the authority to wield Origin Energy and laying a solid foundation for the road toward Level 11!

Whether that’s really the logic and the exact process, the Demigod didn’t fully get it, but given his relationship with Earth’s Will, he privately figured there was no reason Earth’s Will would lie to him.

So...

You’re the boss, and I’m counting on you to help me Promote to Level 11—however you say to do it, that’s how I’ll do it, yeah?

Thus, today’s meeting came to be.

...

”I’ve been dying for this!”

Right after the Demigod spat out these words, Earth’s Will instructed him to sit down next to the Heart of Origin. Once the Demigod sat cross-legged, the Origin Energy inside the Heart of Origin immediately grew restless; it rushed out of the Heart of Origin, impatiently pouring into the Demigod’s body at high speed.

The sudden surge of pain made the Demigod howl involuntarily, but knowing this was a road he had to pass through on the way to Level 11, he gritted his teeth and endured it. The pain came hard and fast but faded just as quickly; after only a moment, the pain turned to bliss. He sensed the vast Origin Energy inside him constantly scouring his body, and in a short time, his species innate talent climbed level after level!

This gift package, at least from what he could see now, really was packed with goodies!

”Thanks...”

The Demigod muttered out the word, his expression looking like he’d just done drugs, radiating a dazed obsession. Seeing this, Earth’s Will only gave a slight smile, then shifted the topic.

”The whole process will take a few hours. You just sit here; I’ll handle everything else. Perfect timing—let’s use this chance to talk about the Overturn Plan.”

That was how Earth’s Will put it, and the moment the Demigod heard the four words ”Overturn Plan,” a sharp light flashed in his eyes.

”The preliminary steps are already done. Now, I’m just waiting for Lin Haifeng to return to Earth from the tiered battle ground. As soon as he gets back to Yanjing, I’ll kill him. Once Lin Haifeng is dead, I’ll offer this world up to you with both hands.”

Even though the entire Earth is basically Earth’s Will’s own body, and in theory the whole world belongs to Him, Wen Yu doesn’t obey, Tang Haofei doesn’t obey, and even Yanjing doesn’t obey. He might be the world’s will, but in this world there are way too many people who don’t listen. He has the title of World Will, but He still can’t decide everything in this world!

That made Earth’s Will lose a lot of face...

Compared to Tang Haofei and Wen Yu, Yanjing was still a relatively soft target, plus Tang Haofei had gone into seclusion and nobody knew which corner Wen Yu was hiding in. So Earth’s Will starting with Yanjing was only natural.

Mm, that was how the Demigod himself saw it.

Hearing him, Earth’s Will smiled faintly. ”From the look of you, you’ve already arranged all the details, haven’t you?”

The Demigod nodded immediately. ”All we have to do is stir up some trouble in Yanjing; luring Lin Haifeng out of the tiered battle ground is a simple matter. After all, Yanjing is the old man’s roots.”

”And after that?”

”Once Lin Haifeng is dead, I can talk to Lin Que and push him into the top seat... By blood ties, after all, he’s my son... But if he doesn’t listen, then we kill him! Then we shove my sister into that position—she’s crazy about power and status anyway. In short, as long as the old man dies, everything else will be easy to sort out.”

Yanjing isn’t the Yanjing of the whole world; it’s Lin Haifeng’s Yanjing—the old man’s word there is law. But in certain situations, that’s a flaw that doesn’t quite count as a flaw, yet still is one.

For example, if Lin Haifeng fell...

Lin Que and Fang Yuqiong and the rest of that junior generation were still young; in terms of prestige, they couldn’t compare to Lin Haifeng at all. They might not even be on Fran’s level. But Yanjing’s system dictates that once Lin Haifeng falls, his position must be inherited by one of his descendants. The handover of power will inevitably bring change and chaos! If this had happened a few years earlier, that bit of chaos wouldn’t have mattered much—back then there was no one who could shake Yanjing’s leadership position.

But now the Demigod is in the wings, and his faction is not much weaker than Yanjing’s.

It’s like two major powers clashing: with the Demigod’s methods and the cards he currently holds, as long as Yanjing descends into chaos, then Yanjing can really just wash up and go to sleep.

Right now, Yanjing might look huge, grand, undefeatable, but that’s only its outward image under Lin Haifeng’s personal charisma.

Once Lin Haifeng is gone, Yanjing may still be big and strong, but it’ll be nothing more than an empty shell.

The Demigod saw that very clearly.

And with the Demigod’s arrangements, the scheming was already complete; he firmly believed that as long as Lin Haifeng died, then under the external pressure from his current faction, it would only take a few little tricks for Yanjing to instantly splinter apart!

At that point, who would be the strongest, the greatest faction? It would have to be the Demigod, no question... More than ten years of preparation, and now all that’s left is to light the fuse!

”But we can’t ignore Tang Haofei and Wen Yu. Once Lin Haifeng dies, their stance will decide whether we can completely break Yanjing apart.”

No matter the plan, there will always be unexpected variables, one kind or another—and on Earth, Wen Yu and Tang Haofei are the biggest variables.

After hearing Earth’s Will’s reminder, the Demigod fell briefly silent before speaking.

”This is exactly where things get tricky, and it’s the main reason I haven’t rushed to make a move.”

”Tang Haofei is not an easy problem to handle. Compared to us, he leans more toward Yanjing’s side, but that can be negotiated. As long as he can stay neutral, that’d be perfect. If he can’t, well...”

Speaking of Tang Haofei’s issue, the Demigod let out a short sigh—under the suppression of individual combat power, all these so-called factions suddenly looked so flimsy.

”Recently my people have roughly locked down the continent where Tang Haofei is hiding. Once the intel comes back, I’ll send Moka to talk to him. If we can’t come to terms, the plan might have to be postponed again, until I can buy off more Treasure Land Protectors. Or maybe... my lord, you’ll act personally?”

What he meant was... the Demigod seemed to be planning to straight-up kill Old Tang.

The Demigod spoke sincerely, but Earth’s Will only shook His head. ”I can’t reach into the tiered battle ground, and even on Earth I can’t give you that much help. Some support tools, sure, but acting personally is something I’m absolutely unable to do—this involves the inner connection between a mother Star and its native lifeforms.”
