Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The Spirit’s body has grown considerably these past few years, most directly reflected in the expansion of the forest area.

A group of three walked through the forest, two women in front and the Demigod himself behind. The Spirit occasionally turned around to look at the Demigod, as if observing some rare creature.

The Demigod, Earth’s de facto representative — this has already spread throughout the mutant beast community, seeing the Demigod is akin to seeing the mother planet, the status and position of the Demigod is imaginable!

Perhaps only someone as extraordinary as this can take up the banner, roaring ”Dare to replace the old days with the new sky” and boldly challenge Yanjing’s hegemony...

Well, the Spirit’s thought is somewhat naive, but for an older virgin, a bit of naivety is understandable.

The Demigod met the Spirit’s gaze, showing no expression outwardly but feeling somewhat speechless deep down inside. Until a chatter arose, the Spirit purposely used a ”very loud” tone to act as a matchmaker in front of the two parties involved.

”Look, how manly Lord Demigod is. You’re getting on in years; it’s time to find a man.”

”If you ask me, my Carmille has outstanding looks and decent strength. Alas, I just don’t know which man can win her heart...”

It seemed like a conversation between girlfriends, but the Spirit kept her voice within a range only three people could hear. The Demigod pretended to be deaf, not responding at all, while Carmille seemed awkward, periodically turning to look at the Demigod with apologetic eyes.

Until the three of them arrived at the edge of a pit about a hundred meters in diameter.

”Here we are.”

Carmille spoke, with a tone of relief, as if saying ”this matchmaking event is finally over.”

...

The Demigod stared at the large pit in front of him, and as his perception ability swept over, he nodded momentarily.

”Thank you, you’ve worked hard.”

The Demigod displayed considerable politeness. After expressing his thanks, he was about to set off when he was unexpectedly halted by a voice.

”Well, Lord Demigod, the passage Carmille and I dug is somewhat complex, with many branches and quite a few dead ends... Perhaps you should let Carmille guide you?”

The Spirit said this with a matchmaker’s smile on her face, she gave Carmille a push, then her ethereal figure immediately collapsed and vanished, leaving only the surrounding trees rustling, as if the forest was smiling.

For a moment, the man and woman stood by the pit, eyes meeting, full of awkwardness.

After a while, the Demigod spoke first.

”Then please.”

Indeed, from any perspective, the Demigod seemed to have no reason to refuse this suggestion.

...

As the two ventured into the pit, the surrounding light dimmed.

But soon, as tiny points of light emerged, the Demigod raised his head to see fluorite glowing around the cave.

They scatter light, dispelling darkness. These fluorites are arranged artfully, making the cave appear not coarse but rather exquisite.

”Very well arranged, did you do this yourselves?”

The Demigod asked first, and Carmille nodded gently: ”I designed it. I just found it boring, so I found some things to do for myself.”

With this simple sentence, they opened up conversation, chatting about various topics. Speaking of which, the Demigod thought of the two divine beast species that had always been by Carmille’s side.

”By the way, where’s the gorilla and unicorn you have?”

”Outside the forest. I was thinking, keeping them here all the time could be boring for them, and now many mutant beasts and Humans have gone to the tiered battle ground, the world is so big, but there aren’t many creatures, there’s nothing dangerous outside, so might as well let them go out for a while.”

Upon hearing this, it seemed like the Demigod was reminded of something. After a while, he spoke again: ”And what about you?”

”Huh?”

Carmille was confused, full of questions.

”I mean, don’t you find it boring always staying here?”

Upon hearing the Demigod’s words, Carmille fell silent. After a while, she murmured and uttered: ”Just got used to it, I guess.”

Every day, every month, every year, repeating the same things — digging holes, drawing, chatting with the Spirit, playing around with the gorilla and unicorn...

Is it boring?

It is, but going out, where to? What to do?

The world is so big... But going out doesn’t necessarily mean beauty and adventure; more likely it’s danger and the unknown, compared to which Carmille actually feels her current life is quite nice.

Well, just fine.

Their conversation stalled for a while until the Earth’s origin aura became stronger. Then the Demigod spoke.

”Wait for me at the exit, will you?”

”Huh?”

Carmille’s response was somewhat slow until the Demigod turned around, his eyes emitting a bright shine, like two miniature stars.

Under this intense gaze, Carmille suddenly felt her scalp tingle, her whole body felt a sense of numbness.

”When I come out, I’ll take you out for a stroll.”

Simply stating this, the Demigod didn’t wait for Carmille’s response; he just disappeared like light at the end of the cave, leaving Carmille standing there with a conflicted expression.

She carefully recalled her conversation with the Demigod, and after a while, her lips curled into a smile.

”Seems, quite nice...”

...

Love, and being loved.

An unchanging topic, Carmille naturally doesn’t know what love tastes like, but likewise, the Demigod is also completely clueless.

From birth to growth, the Demigod has always been focused on self-improvement. Though he has a son, to put it harshly, the son was a ”surprise fatherhood” situation, considering all aspects, Carmille’s conditions are quite nice — she’s beautiful, a Sequence-class strength, plus she’s accompanied by two strong divine beast species and an Amalgamated Willpower Entity.

Adding these factors together... Well, if asked if any woman in the world has such conditions, the Demigod thought for a long time, and probably it’s only his own sister...

Yes, the sister locked deep in the dungeon by their father.

”Maybe really should try the taste of love...”

The Demigod thought so, then gently tapped his head.

Today his emotions... were indeed a little excited.

As he ventured deeper, inching closer to the origin of the Earth’s nucleus, the Demigod gradually suppressed the burning in his heart, returning to calm. He traversed the Magma Sea until he arrived at a stone door.

”Buzz~~~”

As the Demigod pushed the door open, the familiar light sphere greeted his eyes.

”Master!”

Behind the stone door, a Lava Element formed by molten rock respectfully greeted the Demigod, who merely nodded gently. He looked at the light sphere and murmured.

”I’m here.”

”You’ve arrived...”

The two voices sounded simultaneously, then Earth’s will projection consolidated. It looked at him, softly speaking.

”So, are you ready to accept the Origin Energy baptism?”

Upon hearing this, the Demigod clenched his fist, then gently nodded.

”I’ve long been impatient!”
