Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Flames, streams of energy, the wails and laments of the Demon Tribe, sword-shadows filling the sky, and that towering, burly, universally Invincible ultimate powerful expert!

When that man stood in front of him, Black River Sovereign couldn’t even muster the slightest thought of resistance...

The man’s gaze did not fall on Black River Sovereign; maybe Black River Sovereign’s strength was simply negligible before him, or maybe it was because there were nearly thirty Level 11 Demon Tribe powerful experts gathered here... and at their head stood Black River Sovereign’s old chief.

As one of the seven members of the Demon Clan Army’s Topmost 7-Member Council, the old chief originally didn’t need to personally go to the battlefield. Unfortunately...

Whether it was because the Universe of Immortals and Heroes was too tough a bone to chew, or because Demon Spirit had used some unknown methods, in any case, at the very moment Black River Sovereign’s ambition and desire swelled to the extreme, everything unfolded just like this.

Right now, even though the enemy was only one man, that aura that stood above all things still made Black River Sovereign’s guts quake in fear, until that fear transformed into utter, complete despair!

”Get the hell out of my world!!!”

Sword-shadows spread out like a sky-covering tide, a violent, peerless power shrouded the entire space; in this simple instant, the Immortal Emperor not only annihilated the Demon Tribe powerful experts directly in front of him, he even had spare strength to seal all the Demon Realm’s Gates!

At that moment Black River Sovereign had no reaction at all... he only stood there in a daze, waiting to greet the end of his life.

Until a hand grabbed Black River Sovereign by the collar, and then Black River Sovereign turned his head and saw the flayed flesh of the old chief.

”The future belongs to you...”

The aged voice rang out, and in a daze Black River Sovereign seemed to see the smile of his already dead father. Then the world spun, and when Black River Sovereign regained his senses, he had already arrived at the other side of the Demon Realm’s Gate.

The old chief burned everything he had to send Black River Sovereign back to the Demon Realm, but there was no gratitude, no guilt, no tears—there was only the slowly rising corner of his mouth and a thunderous, deafening mad laugh!

”Mine! Mine! It’s all mine!!!”

”That’s right, it’s all yours...”

Demon Spirit’s voice sounded by his ear; Black River Sovereign turned his head, and what he saw was Demon Spirit’s figure.

...

It really was all his.

The Soot Skin Demon Fiend clan had only two Level 11 powerful experts in total, and now one was dead; as for who the position of chief would go to, that was a question that didn’t even need arguing!

The resistance arose within the Topmost 7-Member Council itself...

The five led by Philip agreed to Black River Sovereign’s entry. As the strongest Cannon Fodder Species in the Demon Realm, the Soot Skin Demon Fiends provided an ocean’s worth of warriors in every invasion; even without merit, they had sweat and blood, so naturally they needed to occupy a seat at the table.

But the problem lay with Demon Spirit. Demon Spirit, who had always acted alone, unexpectedly opposed Black River Sovereign’s entry this time... the reason was unknown, and even Black River Sovereign himself couldn’t figure it out. However, Demon Spirit’s influence in the Topmost 7-Member Council at that moment was very weak, so his opposition was naturally invalid.

Black River Sovereign naturally became one of the Demon Clan Army’s top seven members—even though his strength was pathetically weak...

And because Demon Spirit had opposed his entry, Black River Sovereign quite naturally became Philip’s little brother. Picking a side was crucial; with Philip, reputed to be the strongest among the Demon Tribe, looking after him, Black River Sovereign felt the road ahead would be much easier to walk.

He selectively forgot the little schemes between him and Demon Spirit.

...

Seeing this, combined with everything that had happened in reality, Wen Yu had already discerned Demon Spirit’s plan—from the very beginning he had been plotting, plotting across dozens of worlds, plotting the death of Black River Sovereign’s old chief, and inserting Black River Sovereign into Philip’s camp.

As an outsider Wen Yu could see all this, yet back then Black River Sovereign saw nothing at all—maybe Soot Skin Demon Fiends were born brainless, and even after becoming Level 11 powerful experts their IQ was still in arrears. However, Wen Yu had another guess...

Demon Spirit’s interference and influence.

Wen Yu was crystal clear on the might of soul-type powerful experts; silently influencing someone’s judgment was practically child’s play. But there was a problem here: all this manipulation had to be built on a foundation of an overwhelming gap in strength.

A Peak Level 5 professionist, no matter how proficient in Spirit-based power, could not casually toy with a professionist of the same level.

Wen Yu had already formed an estimate of Demon Spirit’s strength—right now, there was no way Wen Yu could possibly be a match! Wen Yu even suspected that Demon Spirit might be the only one truly worthy of the title ”strongest demon”!

The image continued to flow...

Black River Sovereign lived smoothly within the Demon Clan Army’s Topmost 7-Member Council. After going through wars in dozens of worlds, he was allocated a massive amount of treasures and Origin Energy; correspondingly, his strength rose ever higher, and by now Wen Yu could even conclude that Black River Sovereign’s strength had already far surpassed his own!

The Origin Energy of a single world, even if only a tiny portion was given to Black River Sovereign, would still be an astronomical figure!

With a casual glance, Wen Yu could already infer the approximate strength of these monsters of the Demon Clan Army’s Topmost 7-Member Council... it was a level that could plunge one into despair...

Yet...

The influence brought by Demon Spirit still hadn’t vanished!

Black River Sovereign only felt that the chasm of desire in his heart could never be filled. He wanted power, he wanted more. Every time he saw Philip issuing orders in the Topmost 7-Member Council, Black River Sovereign would always feel a jealousy he could hardly suppress!

Ambition is forever infinite; desire is forever impossible to fill... so when Demon Spirit came to Black River Sovereign, everything unfolded exactly like the last time.

”Do you want power? Do you want to learn the hidden truths of this world? Do you want to lead your race to the very peak? Mingming the Soot Skin clan is obviously the largest race among the Demon Tribe, yet you’ve always lived under the Shadow of the Ancient Demons—are you really willing to accept that?”

”I’m not willing!”

Black River Sovereign... was far stronger than last time, too strong. He already possessed the power and bearing of a king. Yet in this moment, the power Demon Spirit erupted with... still far exceeded the limits of anything Black River Sovereign could imagine!

Black River Sovereign naturally knew the reputation of soul-type powerful experts, and he did have some defenses prepared against the bizarre Spirit-based powers... but he still got caught...

His skills, his items, everything about him could not escape Demon Spirit’s temptation and interference.

”I have a plan... Mm, you should know, right? The Demon Realm was originally called Riyarda. Sigh, that’s a name from so, so long ago. I still can’t forget what Riyarda used to be like—flowers, little animals, even the insects seemed so cute...”

The drawn-out voice sounded from Demon Spirit’s mouth, yet when the words fell into Black River Sovereign’s ears, they turned into slogans like ”Power! Power!” His eyes gradually reddened, and when Demon Spirit finally asked, ”Are you willing to join this plan?” Black River Sovereign decisively nodded.

He didn’t even bother to understand the process or principles of this plan in detail...
