Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The Origin Pool, the source and the place of rebirth for the Demon Realm, following the disaster of the last era, the Demon Lord replaced the position of the world’s heart Demon Spirit, becoming the consciousness of the Demon Realm—this is the brain.

And the heart of the Demon Realm is now the Origin Pool in front of Wen Yu and the other two.

”If this is the heart of the demon realm, then those are its blood...”

Bai pointed at the swirling lakes within the Origin Pool, speaking softly, as if he was explaining to Wen Yu, or murmuring to himself.

”The Origin Energy is immensely powerful. You might only know it as a tool for combat, naturally restraining all energies, and also capable of creating divine beast breeds, but that is just a part of its capabilities. The most crucial use of Origin Energy lies in creation, adjustment, creating life, regulating a planet’s ecological environment—they are the foundation of a world.”

”The chaos among the Demon Tribe and the low intelligence of low-grade demonic creatures are greatly related to the chaotic nature of the Demon Realm’s Origin Energy.”

Bai continued his muttering while pulling out a scroll from his space ring.

This scroll was a pale blue color, covered with water-like ripples. As the ripples expanded, the scroll floated from Bai’s hand and landed on the barrier of the Origin Pool ahead.

As the pale blue ripples grew intense, a fierce conflict occurred between the energy on the barrier of the Origin Pool and the energy in the scroll. Its intensity was such that Wen Yu involuntarily took a step back, while Bai remained unmoved under the protection of the barrier he had raised upon traversing the arm.

When the conflict between the two forces reached its peak, a gap silently appeared in the barrier of the Origin Pool. Seeing this, Bai instantly shot forward, squeezing inside the Origin Pool.

Feeling slightly hesitant, Wen Yu nonetheless followed closely behind Bai.

...

The strength of the Origin Energy inside the Origin Pool was indeed formidable—this was dozens or even hundreds of times compared to the external arm! However, the anticipated inability to move didn’t occur. If the Origin Energy turbulence outside was likened to stormy waves, here, it was best described as calm and peaceful.

The Origin Energy within the Origin Pool resembled a tamed, obedient pet. Though it wandered restlessly, it showed no aggression. Perhaps sensing the demon tribe aura on Wen Yu and Bai, it even approached them intimately, gently rubbing against their bodies, and as it did, Wen Yu felt strands of Origin Energy quickly merge with the innate talent of his triple species.

It’s indeed a good place to grow stronger—even doing nothing, the species innate talent would surge by dozens of points every second!

”A little bit is fine, but don’t absorb too much... unless you want to be assimilated by the Origin Pool, becoming part of it.”

Bai reminded Wen Yu, scaring him into repelling the Origin Energy around his body—what a pity...

With a brief sigh of lamentation, Wen Yu set aside his disappointment. In the distance, Bai was already speeding towards the surface of the Origin Pool, and upon seeing this, Wen Yu hastily followed suit.

...

Reconstructing a world requires a vast amount of Origin Energy. Here, Wen Yu felt that, although chaotic, the surrounding Origin Energy essentially converged to the same end, making it impossible to discern which world’s Origin Energy was present.

Luckily, for the final step of the plan, Bai had indeed made all the arrangements—at least in the matter of finding the Universe of Immortals and Heroes Origin Energy, Bai would not be stumped.

He retrieved a compass-like archaic device from his space ring, along with a small, exquisite, red gourd. Holding the compass in one hand and the gourd in the other, Bai accelerated, roaming aimlessly within the Origin Pool.

Searching and extracting, these two steps, two tools are sufficient.

Watching Bai’s busy figure, Wen Yu pondered for a moment, then stopped in mid-air—instead of wandering pointlessly with Bai, it might be more worthwhile to find a way to use the Origin Energy here to enhance his strength.

The two were one in motion, the other still, and for a time, the Origin Pool was left with only the sound of Origin Energy’s waves surging.

...

Bai flew over the surface of the Origin Pool, the protective light shield on him constantly repelling the surrounding Origin Energy, safeguarding Bai from any harm. As he lowered his head to look at the compass, he flew aimlessly.

Until the compass in his hand emitted a continuous glow, accompanied by a dim marker appearing on the compass, which seemed like a pointer, directing Bai to the target’s direction—southeast, not far away...

At this moment, Bai finally closed his eyes. Simultaneously, an inexplicable perception ability swept out, this power was silent but pervasive, thus Bai saw another ”Wen Yu” hidden within ten meters of his side.

Wen Yu did not trust Bai, and Bai couldn’t possibly trust Wen Yu either, so Wen Yu sent the Faceless to monitor Bai. But Bai indeed had the ability to see through Void Traversing.

Like two people playing cards, neither knowing the others’ hand, in the end, it’s merely a matter of size—this round, Bai was clearly more skilled, or rather, Wen Yu’s power, though formidable, was superficial, and no matter what, he didn’t have the depth of Bai, who had lived two lives.

However, even upon seeing the Faceless, Bai remained unfazed. He simply let out a slight sigh deep in his heart.

Wen Yu indeed harbors suspicion towards him—or rather, he is wary of everyone who manipulates schemes... But this time, he truly has no other intentions.

Reconstructing the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, this is Bai’s wish and also Bai’s responsibility. The entire plan and the steps for reviving the world had been meticulously prepared by the Almighty Immortal Emperor for Bai, and as long as he follows them, there is no possibility of error.

The challenge of the plan lies only in reaching the Origin Pool—now, the destination has been reached, the success of the plan is a matter of course.

Bai cannot allow any disturbance to this plan—in the face of such a major task of reviving his mother planet, any scheming must be pushed aside. In other words, this time, Bai is sincerely cooperating with Wen Yu, but Wen Yu clearly doesn’t think so...

But it doesn’t matter...

Thus thought Bai, and then his figure shot out swiftly, and within a short time, he had flown to the location indicated by the compass.

He stored the compass, gently patted the gourd in his hand, which seemed like a signal, and immense suction immediately emanated from the gourd, stirring the waters below. Moments later, specks of Origin Energy drifted from the lake and fell into the gourd.
