Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 178: Chapter 134 King! Divine Beast Seed!_1

After a while, the little creature nodded again, and a wave of Spiritual Fluctuation was transmitted.

”Some, strange, sounds, but, I, did not, understand.”

Hearing the little creature’s response, Wen Yu nodded.

”The situation is very bad. Let me briefly explain it to you.”

Seeing the little creature nod again, Wen Yu tried to use simple language to explain the rules of the battlefield between the two realms.

”Did you understand?”

Wen Yu asked, looking at the slightly puzzled little creature.

Then, the little creature shook its head.

”Alright, then I’ll say it again.”

This situation wasn’t beyond Wen Yu’s expectations. This Little Dragon, to use Wen Yu’s words, was naive and seemed to have never communicated with other creatures. Its limited understanding was entirely within his expectations!

Wen Yu also felt that a single explanation was unlikely to make the Little Dragon understand the current situation.

So, Wen Yu explained it again.

”Did you understand?”

The little creature still shook its head.

”Alright.”

Then, Wen Yu explained it again.

...

”Did you understand?”

The answer to Wen Yu’s query was another shake of its head.

”Tsk, tsk.”

Wen Yu took a deep breath to ease his frustrated mood.

He lifted his wrist to check his watch.

An hour had passed. Wen Yu had been explaining about once a minute, so by now, he had explained to the Little Dragon no fewer than 50 times!

However, Wen Yu had truly overestimated the Little Dragon’s comprehension.

Seeing the Little Dragon’s bewildered expression, Wen Yu instantly understood it wasn’t pretending; it genuinely couldn’t understand.

”Did you understand?”

Wen Yu looked at Cyclops, who was beside him.

Cyclops, who had relaxed slightly by now, heard Wen Yu’s question and barked twice.

”I understood the first time, Boss! You’re underestimating me!”

Wen Yu sighed helplessly.

”Alright then, Cyclops, you explain it to the Little Dragon.”

”WOOF, WOOF.”

”Watch and learn!”

Hearing Wen Yu’s order—or perhaps, request—Cyclops immediately walked over and barked at the Little Dragon!

Due to the soul contract, Wen Yu could not only transmit information with Cyclops through Spiritual Fluctuation but also understand Cyclops’s ”words.”

However, it was precisely because he could understand Cyclops’s language that Wen Yu clutched his forehead and heaved a deep sigh!

...

Cyclops’s explanation was as follows:

”WOOF, WOOF.”

”There are enemies.”

”WOOF, WOOF, WOOF, WOOF!”

”They’re very strong! We need to team up to beat them!”

”WOOF, WOOF, WOOF, WOOF, WOOF!”

”Boss wants you to fight with us! And eat!”

”WOOF?”

”Are you coming?”

Then, to Wen Yu’s utter astonishment, the little creature slowly nodded.

Then, a wave of Spiritual Fluctuation was transmitted to him.

”You, should have, said so, earlier! So, it’s just, fighting, then, eating. As expected, you bipeds, your intelligence, is lacking!”

Seeing the contemptuous expression on the little creature’s face, Wen Yu was instantly silenced.

After a moment, Wen Yu gave a wry smile and said,

”So, if I’d just said ’fight’ and ’eat,’ those two words, you would have come with me?”

The little creature nodded without hesitation.

”The creatures, in this, forest, are, my, subjects. I, cannot, eat, them. But, I am, hungry!”

”Hmm.”

Wen Yu pondered for a moment, nodded, and then asked,

”In that case, can you gather your subjects? This battle will require them.”

The little creature tilted its head, looking at Wen Yu with a puzzled expression.

Wen Yu understood instantly.

”Cyclops, help me!”

...

After a brief exchange between Cyclops and the Little Dragon, the Little Dragon looked at Wen Yu and slowly nodded.

Then...

Before Wen Yu’s astonished eyes, the Little Dragon’s body transformed at an incredible speed!

In less than a second, its once petite body grew into a gigantic creature nearly 10 meters long!

It had sharp claws and deep black scales. The two horns on its head gleamed with a chilling light. Its mouth was full of sharp fangs, like daggers, and a crimson tongue flickered within, accompanied by a faint scent of sulfur!

A ferocious aura radiated outwards, rustling the hem of Wen Yu’s clothes.

Seeing the creature in front of him, Wen Yu fell silent again.

Powerful! Extremely powerful!

But what chilled Wen Yu to the bone was that this creature was clearly a Giant Dragon.

It was a species completely outside of Wen Yu’s existing knowledge!

Evolution was heading further and further in an unknown direction!

This also meant more unknown existences, and even stronger enemies.

Wen Yu would absolutely not regard mutant creatures as friends, even now when they needed to fight side by side!

Sensing the terrifying aura emanating from the Giant Dragon, Cyclops immediately retreated a few steps, staying close to Wen Yu.

It was afraid the Giant Dragon might suddenly attack!

Fortunately, the mutant beasts’ instincts, or perhaps their level of intelligence, didn’t comprehend things like scheming or betrayal. This also meant that, for now, mutant beasts were far more reliable than humans!

”ROAR...”

The tremendous roar echoed far through the mountain forest.

Following the Giant Dragon’s imperious roar, the once quiet forest sprang to life!

Sounds of movement came from all directions.

There was the rustling of small creatures moving through the grass, the thudding vibrations of large creatures treading the earth, sounds from the surrounding trees, and the beating of wings in the sky.

Countless creatures, heeding their king’s Call to Arms, converged on this clearing!

Wen Yu silently watched the majestic Giant Dragon, a thought flashing through his mind:

This Giant Dragon is much stronger than the Giant Eagle...

But, in the current situation, it was just a passing thought. Wen Yu had no doubt that if he initiated a soul contract to bind this Giant Dragon, he would be met with a fight to the death!

A soul contract, no matter how lenient its terms, was still a form of master-servant pact!

And a king would never bow its prideful head!

A king, huh?

Looking at the Giant Dragon, a thought genuinely surfaced in his mind.

One command, and myriad beasts submit!

That was the mark of a king!

Or perhaps, a divine beast species.

Wen Yu mused silently.

This was a term Wen Yu had coined himself, a classification for this Giant Dragon’s race!

It didn’t belong to the known, only to legend!

...

The rustling sounds grew denser and more numerous, then gradually subsided.

From the surrounding forest, countless pairs of eyes, large and small, stared intently at Wen Yu.

It was the gaze reserved for food.

They couldn’t discern Wen Yu’s strength, but that didn’t hinder the predatory instincts of wild beasts!

”ROAR!”

A violent roar ripped through the air, and Wen Yu could feel the menacing atmosphere in the forest gradually dissipate!
