Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 153: Chapter 109: The Road to Survival (18) (7th update, 100 more with average order!)_1

The battle ended quickly!

Not every Demon Fiend possessed the power of an Ancient Demon Stone Devil. Most were just weaklings who had barely reached Third-level!

After prying the magic crystals from the head of the Demon Fiend, Wen Yu absorbed them directly.

The continuous battles had greatly enhanced the physique of the Third-level professionists.

Wen Yu’s physical attributes remained at 61.5 points, and all the spoils of war were given to the little Soul Beast, boosting its physical attributes to 60 points.

And Cyclops, after devouring numerous Demon Beast Corpses, had raised its physical attributes to 93 points.

This was the advantage of mutant beasts. Their method of Evolution did not require magic crystals; only corpses would suffice. Demon Beast Corpses, extremely toxic to humans, were gleefully consumed by the mutant beasts!

Nearby, Jiang Wentao, William, and Chu Ziling were also absorbing magic crystals.

Monkey and Sun Ruixing were the only pitiful ones; during the final stage of the trial, their strength hadn’t increased at all!

After organizing the spoils of the battle, the group quickly left the place, moving towards the location indicated on the radar!

「...」

The Flashing Bluestar, under pervasive yellow sand, was cold and ruthless!

With black Demon Blood spraying everywhere, Wen Yu coldly tore the Demon Fiend before him in half, then vented his depression—and fear—on the Demon Fiend beneath him!

”Alright, Wen Yu, the battle is over!”

Jiang Wentao wiped the blood from his face and stepped forward to pull Wen Yu away.

”HUFF, HUFF!”

Wen Yu gasped heavily, kicked the blurry mess of flesh and blood on the ground, then turned back to look at his companions!

The seven humans and one dog were all still present.

This was a miracle, considering the continuous battles over the past five days.

However, everyone now had to face a problem. All the healing potions had been used up! This was clearly evident just by looking at the bandages on everyone’s bodies!

”Let’s move forward.”

Wen Yu nodded to his companions and took the lead in heading east.

Because Ba Song had lost his life in battle five days prior, everyone had been advancing in a straight line toward their destination. In this situation, they naturally encountered Demon Fiends continuously.

The intensity of the battles over the past five days had been incredibly high; even Wen Yu felt suffocated.

But, it was not over yet.

In the distance, accompanied by an inexplicable roar, nearly ten Demon Fiends quickly charged toward them!

”I have a feeling that we’re going to die here!”

Facing the Demon Fiends of varying strength, Chu Ziling smiled bitterly. Only Chu Ziling would say such thoughtless words at such a time.

”Fight!”

With Wen Yu’s roar, William held the Fourth Prince tightly in his arms, following closely behind the others.

The brutal battle began once again!

「...」

As he tore apart the Demon Fiend in front of him, whose physical attributes had barely passed 50 points, its Demon Blood blocked Wen Yu’s sight.

Hearing the sound of wind from the side, Wen Yu immediately activated his dislimning ability and tore apart the Demon Fiend rushing at him from that direction.

After killing two Demon Fiends, the battle was over. This was mostly because of Cyclops’s overwhelming power; he had killed most of the Demon Fiends himself!

”Something’s not right, Wen Yu! These Demon Fiends don’t have points!”

Upon hearing Jiang Wentao’s anxious voice, Wen Yu’s heart sank!

What does it mean to lack points?

Before Wen Yu could figure out an answer, the corpses of the Demon Fiends on the ground began to change! Like sand, the corpses of the dead Demon Fiends scattered across the ground, no longer resembling the grotesque figures they once were!

These things... are not Demon Fiends!

In the distance, a tall and a short figure slowly approached.

The taller one was a giant Bone Demon, four meters tall, its grotesque bone spikes leaving no doubt of its dreadful nature.

The shorter one was a Silver-White Skeleton. Not a shred of flesh remained on its body; the skeleton emitted a faint silver glow. Within its terrifying skull, a ball of black flame jumped continuously!

”AWOOO...”

A terrifying howl echoed from behind the group. Then, a series of violent booming sounds followed!

From the rear, a Salamander Demonic Being, a Spider Demon, and a bull demon slowly approached the group!

Wen Yu and the others were surrounded by the Demon Fiends, trapped like dumplings in a steamer!

「...」

Looking at the five Demon Fiends surrounding them, Wen Yu’s heart sank.

Their aura alone suggested that these five Demon Fiends were far stronger than any they had encountered in recent days! This also indicated that the upcoming battle would be extremely brutal!

”Monkey, Chu Ziling, Jiang Wentao, you three hold off the Demon Fiends at the rear. Cyclops and I will take care of the ones in front.”

After speaking, Wen Yu glanced seriously at William and Sun Ruixing.

”You two are responsible for protecting the Fourth Prince. This time, anyone can die, but not the Fourth Prince!”

William nodded seriously, slinging the Fourth Prince onto his back while raising his giant sword.

”Then...”

Before Wen Yu could finish speaking, the Silver-White Skeleton in front took the lead in launching its attack!

As this skeleton lightly raised its hands, the sandy ground began to tremble gently!

Condensing Invocation Art (S-Class, Active Ability): A mysterious force controls surrounding matter, condensing it into creatures according to the host’s will to attack enemies!

With the activation of the Condensing Illusion Art, the sand on the ground solidified at an extremely fast speed. Soon, nearly a hundred puppets, almost four meters tall and identical to the Bone Demon beside the Silver-White Skeleton, rose to their feet!

”JIE JIE JIE JIE...”

The Bone Demon let out a strange laugh and walked directly into the mass of puppets created by the Condensing Illusion Art.

They were identical! It was like a drop of water merging into the ocean, indistinguishable from the rest!

Wen Yu’s expression changed instantly!

The power of the puppets themselves was not to be feared; what was terrifying was that among them was a Bone Demon with physical attributes of at least 150 points. The nearly hundred puppets served as the perfect cover for this Bone Demon!

This was not the end. As the Silver-White Skeleton waved its hand again, a magic array flashing with black light appeared out of thin air!

A terrifying roar emerged from the magic array, immediately followed by a giant claw!

Contract Summoning (A-Class, Active Ability): Sign a contract with a creature to summon it at any time. The summoned creature remains for 10 minutes! While the summoned creature is present, the host’s own physical attributes decrease by ninety percent!

As the creature within the magic array struggled to emerge, a profound sense of fear enveloped everyone present.

Nearly ten meters tall, with sharp claws, faint demonic patterns shone on its deep black fur. Its three ferocious dog heads roared wildly, and a rank stench assailed their nostrils.

What was more terrifying was that this was a Level 4 Demon Fiend!
