Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 383: Chapter 304: Old Grudges and Schemes, Marie Returns

This is the grudge between both sides, but the scale of the Calamity Raven Church cannot compare to the Kingdom. This level of fighting can at most be considered a minor skirmish. What is truly brutal is the full-scale war of the Kingdom, where large territories and villages will turn into scorched earth.

The nobles on both sides will lead troops to invade each other’s kingdom territories, either scattered or combined, conducting bloody massacres and population plundering in the cities and villages they encounter along the way.

They might even gather large armies to attack each other’s giant cities, employing all kinds of strong siege equipment, as well as magic energy devices. It will definitely be a bloodthirsty and brutal scene.

However, the continent has not witnessed a full-scale war between kingdoms for hundreds of years. During these centuries, all kingdoms and factions on the continent have been resting and recuperating. The Kingdom has accumulated a large amount of wealth through constant development within, and this wealth is scattered among the major cities and giant cities, with most belonging to private noble property.

Moreover, due to the peaceful environment of the Kingdom, many emerging nobles have risen. In short, after these hundreds of years of peaceful development, the indigenous people of the Continents’ kingdoms have become much wealthier.

From certain perspectives, this accumulated wealth seems to have deeper implications, especially now that Lords have descended, the development trajectory of the indigenous people seems to echo the arrival of the Lords.

Nevertheless, even this minor skirmish is no less than a world-shaking battle for the current Lords, both sides have hundreds of warriors, who are beings the current Lords need to look up to.

After giving some instructions, Raven Saintess Shafuri left Odu Village and hurried towards the Burial Ground.

The ravens circling in the sky split into thousands, gathering above her head, forming a ”dark cloud” that obscured the sky over Odu Village, moving back and forth.

Raven Saintess Shafuri put on her hood, and her figure began to fade until she was just a blurry silhouette. Her hood seemingly had a stealth effect.

As for the deployment of the Magic Array in the Burial Ground, it also had a concealing effect, ensuring nothing could be detected from the sky.

...

In Zong Shen’s territory, after searching through the [Market].

Once Wolf Rider Squad Two and Three finished excavating the trench, he let them fetch water and then take those filthy coats to the creek for a good wash.

The outer defenses of the territory were completed quickly, and those kobolds and warriors without special tasks returned to the territory, had a simple dinner, and entered the houses to rest.

Zong Shen stored the previously placed [Mobile Magical Array (Damaged)] from the Lord’s Courtyard into the Storage Grid. This thing could generate a circular Magic Energy Shield with a 200-meter radius, needing to be charged using Magic Energy Crystals.

The more Magic Energy charged, the higher the Durability Value. However, after each use, the Durability of this Magic Energy Array would decrease significantly. There hasn’t been much opportunity to use it these days, perhaps tomorrow it can be put to use.

All other defense towers were also installed, [Tower of Thunder] was light blue all over, with a prominent yellow thunder rune at the top and a giant blue Treasure Pearl the size of a millstone. Above the Pearl, electric arcs continually flickered.

[Moon Blade Tower] was dark purple, and its top was a firing port, with a giant Triangular Moon Blade with a diameter of one meter ready to launch.

The shape of [Giant Crossbow Tower] was simple and crude like a spaceship, with a tower-shaped base and an upper part that constituted a huge connected crossbow mechanism. The crossbow could rotate 360 degrees on a flat plane and had a maximum four to five degree elevation angle, though the depression angle was relatively low. If enemies approached a certain distance below the [Giant Crossbow Tower], it couldn’t attack them.

The crossbow device also had something similar to a long tube periscope.

Zong Shen approached the [Giant Crossbow Tower], chose to enter [Sniper Mode], and instantly his perspective changed to the crossbow’s view at the top of the tower.

As his perspective turned, the crossbow atop the Giant Crossbow Tower also started to rotate; with a thought, his gaze looked into the distance, and the view could zoom in, seeing scenes clearly up to four kilometers away.

This thing can both serve as an ultra-long-range defense tower and be used as a telescope.

The [Sniper Mode] of the [Giant Crossbow Tower], paired with the [Crewman Mode] of the [Giant Cannon Tower], forms a full-range insight around the territory.

The range of [Giant Crossbow Tower] is 4000 meters, and the range of [Giant Cannon Tower] is 3500 meters, so these two types of defense towers are indeed quite suitable for pairing.

Magic Energy Giant Cannon fires, followed by the giant crossbow for precise strikes.

Zong Shen had more ideas about the combination of defense buildings.

He exited [Sniper Mode] and came to the side of the [Holy Light Tower].

The shape of [Holy Light Tower] resembled a vertical electric light bulb; at regular intervals, rippling Holy Light would emanate outward.

Burrowing Demons seemed to find it obnoxious, even carefully treading when passing around its vicinity.

Besides, Zong Shen didn’t have many feelings; when these Holy Lights washed over him, they were akin to ordinary sunlight with just a hint of warmth.

These Holy Lights can produce Healing Effects for ordinary creatures, restoring Life Value.

But for the Undead Race’s undead, it is sheer Damage.

Finally, there was the [Necromancer Tower], which was entirely black-gray, shaped like a volcanic crater, with a recessed middle where lay a giant gem with indistinct edges as if it wasn’t entirely solid.

Wisps of Undead Death Qi were emerging from it; since there were no enemies nearby, the effects of the Necromancer Tower weren’t activated, so Zong Shen temporarily couldn’t see how proficient its Summon Skeleton was.

Zong Shen roamed around these defense towers once more, further familiarizing himself with their traits.

With the passage of time, it was already evening, the sky was incredibly dark, and those gloomy clouds showed no sign of dispersing. As night fell, the land plunged into darkness, and neither moonlight nor starlight could penetrate the clouds.

Zong Shen hadn’t gone to rest; he was waiting for Marie’s return. It had been over three hours since Marie departed, and theoretically, she should be back.

Marie was tasked with procuring supplies this time, concerning the initiative for the next challenge, which made Zong Shen somewhat anxious. Only once the supplies quickly gathered in the territory could he feel at ease.

Just when Zong Shen was worried, from the eastern gate of the territory, Korby led Wolf Cavalry Squad One ahead, followed by two fully loaded Burden-Bearer Mecha.

Marie and her team finally returned!

People gathered at the courtyard entrance, and the two Burden-Bearer Mecha stopped in the open space.

The cargo bay behind piled like a mountain; the two Burden-Bearer Mecha carried only part of the supplies, while Marie placed the other part in the Storage Grid.

One of the Burden-Bearer Mecha’s cargo holds was filled with various coats, numbering hundreds, alongside a big box of wool sweaters and over a hundred wool blankets. Additionally, Marie purchased wool skins, which were perfect for the tailor Alanna in the territory to sew into sheepskin coats.

These alone occupied the entire cargo bay of one Burden-Bearer Mecha.

As for the other Burden-Bearer Mecha, it was filled with various foods.

Including eight large wooden barrels of hard bread, a large wooden barrel of sausages and meat jerky, four or five baskets of apples, two baskets of blueberries, and four or five baskets of eggs.
