Global Lords: I Have Information System

Seventy to eighty of them, this quantity already accounts for two-fifths of the entire Stone Gargoyle Swarm.

If it weren’t for the uneven distribution of some Crossbow Arrows, the kill count could have increased by at least ten or twenty percent.

Even though the swarm of Burrow Monsters wasn’t completely annihilated, Zong Shen was quite satisfied.

Most Crossbow Arrows fell to the ground alongside the falling gargoyles, and the majority can be recovered.

The remaining gargoyles were dizzy from this storm-like attack, showing signs of scattering again. They started dispersing around until they vanished, and during their escape, they were hit again by Ranger arrows and Mage spells, taking down a few more fleeing gargoyles.

Zong Shen gathered all the fired Storm Crossbows; the battle was almost over. The offensive against the gargoyles was quite profitable, acquiring an additional thousand or two in Points. Truly satisfying.

All the warriors began to consciously pick up the Crossbow Arrows scattered on the ground; they can be reused. Zong Shen also retrieved the Burden-Bearer Mecha to help them pick up the Crossbow Arrows.

Though acquiring Crossbow Arrows through forging, buying from the market, or exchanging for Points isn’t expensive; moreover, what Storm Crossbows use are the most ordinary Whiteboard Crossbow Arrows, so the cost is even lower.

Hoy remained silent all the way, just watching Zong Shen and the others fight. Though no one told him, he vaguely grasped a key issue: the lord in front of him seemed unlike those other lords.

It’s as if they’re not from the same world, and the Burrow Monsters they encounter differ somewhat from the occasional Undead Nest and Burrow Tribe across the continent.

This further aroused Hoy’s curiosity; joining such a magical territory might allow him to experience things he had never encountered in the first half of his life.

Hoy pondered in his mind, wondering why Zong Shen hasn’t extended an olive branch to him.

Zong Shen naturally wasn’t aware of Hoy’s thoughts at this moment. Although Hoy is of Heroic Level talent, he doesn’t even make it onto Zong Shen’s radar. Zong Shen will only pay attention to Hoy after completing the most important tasks and arrangements at hand.

As everyone finished gathering Crossbow Arrows and prepared to continue their journey westward, two teams of uninvited guests approached from the west. These uninvited guests had a clear objective, heading straight for Zong Shen and his team.

Stirring up dust along the way, as they approached, Zong Shen could already see who was coming.

These were two teams of Heretical Giant Power Knights, led by a knight who carried the Raven Saintess.

Talk about speaking of the devil; Zong Shen was just planning to lead the team west to check out the situation at the Calamity Raven Church in Odu Village, and now the main players had arrived.

Zong Shen stood where he was, looking around at the open space. Without recent rain, the land was dry and solid. Plus, since Zong Shen drove the Burden-Bearer Mecha without load earlier and the tracks left were not noticeable.

The stampede of clustered Burrow Monsters made the soil compact, leaving no trace of tracks.

Zong Shen was relieved. Though the two teams of Heretical Giant Power Knights came aggressively, Zong Shen remained unfazed. At worst, he’d pull out all the stops and fight them, perhaps even kidnap the delicate Raven Saintess and bring her home.

The frontline warriors gathered; the Dragonized Spear and Shield Warriors raised solid shields, Lofted their long spears, and the Wolf Cavalry guarded the flanks. Luna and the Female Hunters maneuvered nearby.

They swiftly formed a responsive formation, protecting the Mages and Ranger Sisters within.

Zong Shen didn’t draw any weapons, calmly awaiting the approaching adversaries.

The Heavy Shire Horses were swift; within a minute, they reached Zong Shen, with the leading knight carrying Shafuri stopping in front of Zong Shen while the other knights flanked from both sides. Due to their numbers, the two teams of Heretical Giant Power Knights couldn’t fully encircle them.

The leading knight didn’t have a chance to speak before Shafuri jumped off the horse.

”Oh, so it’s you.”

”You’re the lord who provided us with the goblin thief clue that day.”

”I have visited your territory.”

Shafuri had an Affinity of 20 points towards Zong Shen and naturally hadn’t forgotten that day.

That day, the Church’s secret supply point was stolen, and she chased the trail left by the Burden-Bearer Mecha all the way to the vicinity of Zong Shen’s territory. Unfortunately, the rain disrupted the trace, and she later visited Zong Shen’s territory to inquire about the situation.

Eventually, in a mountain lookout camp, she found the goblins. Although those cunning fellows vehemently denied it, Shafuri didn’t believe them. Ultimately, constrained by the Calamity Raven Church’s forces, the goblin merchant Boswell chose to yield and compensated Shafuri with some supplies, although the goblins never admitted to stealing the Church’s secret supply point.

Though some doubts remained, after all, Shafuri didn’t see the batch of supplies or any church-associated supply boxes in the goblin camp. But since Boswell compensated, the final outcome wasn’t important.
