Global Lords: I Have Information System

The hundreds of villagers of Odu Village can no longer satisfy the construction requirements of the Calamity Raven Church.

Especially at this critical juncture with the Expeditionary Army about to arrive, the Calamity Raven Church requires a large workforce to build fortifications. They are fully prepared for a ground battle with the Expeditionary Army, determined to turn Odu Village into a temporary stronghold.

So, in the past two days, they have begun patrolling around Odu Village. Regardless of whether they are Indigenous People or Lords, whoever they encounter is captured, not missing a single laborer.

Fortunately, these people from the Calamity Raven Church do not have intentions of wealth or murder. They simply want to draft laborers, but those Lords who got caught are quite unlucky. Although they were taken to Odu Village, the Burrow Challenge does not end because of this, and their territory suffers. If they have good fortune like Wang Xuan, whose territory is located in a remote area, it might survive, but if their luck is bad, the Lord may live, but their territory is lost.

There will undoubtedly be many more Free People emerging. Once the Lord’s Courtyard is breached, all Lord’s Authority is revoked. This includes soldiers’ Loyalty settings. If any soldiers had previously established a good rapport, that’s one thing. However, ordinary warriors, whose loyalty was mediocre, might choose to go solo once freed from the bonds of loyalty.

All in all, being drafted by the Calamity Raven Church is not beneficial for any Lords.

It must be said that Wang Xuan truly had a streak of bad luck today and didn’t check the calendar before going out.

Early in the morning when it was just getting light, he headed out, thinking of finding some Burrow Monster Swarms to score some points and experience. However, not many Burrow Monsters were hunted before he first encountered Zong Shen, who knew his background. Following the principle of not provoking someone he couldn’t afford to, he chose to flee decisively. Then he bumped into a team from the Calamity Raven Church looking to draft laborers. Now, instead of hunting monsters, he doesn’t know how many days his development will be delayed.

But compared to fighting hard or running, surrendering poses the least risk, as his Grassland Horse couldn’t outrun their Heavy Transport Warhorses.

Only a fool would attempt to fight head-to-head with a mere team of over a dozen Tier Two and Tier Three Warriors against two squads of twenty-four Tier Four Heavy Cavalry.

A standard lance over two meters long is no joke. Though it doesn’t compare to a three-meter Heavy Lance, it can certainly skewer him like candied fruit.

Now Wang Xuan can only follow the two teams of Heretical Giant Power Knights to Odu Village with some melancholy.

For someone like him, being in an unpredictable situation is undoubtedly uncomfortable. However, he has no choice. Going to the village first and keeping his life is the priority—these circumstances aren’t a big deal. He might even be able to score some profit in Odu Village.

Wang Xuan comforted himself, reluctantly accepted reality, and honestly rode on his Traveling Horse, observing the surroundings as they advanced.

...

Meanwhile, Zong Shen continued driving the Burden-Bearer Mecha, repeatedly charging and killing within the monster swarm.

The Burden-Bearer Mecha paired with Demon Deterrence is absolutely formidable.

He easily used the traits of Demon Deterrence to tear apart the closely-knit Burrow Monster Swarm.

He also intentionally dispersed stronger monsters from the swarm, allowing warriors to attack more freely.

He kept maintaining this rhythm, carrying out a cycle of charge and deterrence.

The overall quantity of monsters in the swarm is steadily decreasing. On average, dozens of Burrow Monsters are killed every minute. This speed is not particularly fast, but it is certainly stable.

An hour later, two-thirds of the swarm had been eliminated. The Wolf Cavalry, after two rounds of rest, didn’t grow weary but actually fought with greater vigor.

Importantly, using the strategy of cunning and safe meat-cutting, the warriors had a low chance of getting injured, with almost no lasting injuries. If there were any, they were merely minor external wounds left by zombies and Sharp-toothed Worms.

Despite Zong Shen operating the Burden-Bearer Mecha in the swarm, driving, charging, and colliding gracefully, the durability of the Burden-Bearer Mecha did decline, causing him distress.

In just an hour, the durability dropped by over a hundred points. These Burden-Bearer Mecha were originally second-hand goods, primarily used by Goblin Merchants for transporting goods. Fortunately, their base durability was quite high, and when Zong Shen acquired them, they still had over 800 points of durability.

This type of Magic Energy Mecha requires replacing the Magic Energy Core once the durability reaches zero for thorough maintenance, including replacing dented and worn components. Regularly applying Mechanical Wheel Skate Oil on vulnerable parts can effectively reduce wear.

Of course, when used as a collision weapon like Zong Shen does, any oil application is futile as wear is practically inevitable.

This is also one of the shortcomings of Magic Energy Mecha. Should Zong Shen establish a comprehensive Magic Energy Mecha logistics team, this issue wouldn’t be significant.

Including the two Tearer Mecha in Zong Shen Territory, Zong Shen has recently refrained from using them in battles. On their last trip to the mines, one Tearer Mecha ended up with a hole.

Thus, for the past two days, Zong Shen had the Goblin Drivers operate the Tearer Mecha to peacefully cut timber, as it experiences significantly less durability wear compared to combat. It’s far better than leaving the two Burden-Bearer Mecha idle.

Zong Shen drove the Burden-Bearer Mecha again, charging for a moment, separating the Death Knight from the monster swarm, isolating it.
