Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 381: Chapter 303: Raven Puppet, Dragon Eagle Knight Appears

This isn’t over yet. Then, she reached out again, attracting a few ravens. She directly dug open their chests, extracting fresh raven hearts, and tossed them into a wooden basin.

These small raven hearts were all in a lively, beating state, like little sources of energy, injecting vitality into the blood.

Immediately, the blood in each wooden basin began to boil, and white frost drifted out. The Calamity Raven Saintess took out the magic staff she had always carried on her back.

This was an Ebony Crow Staff, with a fist-sized Frost Raven carved on the top of the staff. Unlike a regular raven, the Frost Raven is huge and can be ridden. Previously, the scout from the Calamity Raven Church captured by Zong Shen rode a Frost Raven. Now that fellow has become Zong Shen Territory’s refrigerator.

The eyes of the carved Frost Raven on the staff were two black gemstones. Shafuri raised the Ebony Crow Staff and began chanting.

The black gemstone eyes of the raven at the top suddenly lit up. After a flash of dark light, it began to conjure six fist-sized gray raven illusions, which all flew into the wooden basin. Besides the drifting white frost, the basin now exuded a layer of black light.

After completing this ritual, Raven Saintess Shafuri let out a breath and strapped the Ebony Crow Staff onto her back again, appearing somewhat fatigued.

She walked slowly up to Wang Xuan and the others, smiling gently.

”The ritual preparation is complete. Now, please enter the wooden basin separately.”

”Once the ritual is finished, you will be truly devoted to the Church.”

”Additionally, this ritual can enhance your strength and physical condition.”

Shafuri’s voice was gentle, accompanied by a faint smile that gave her a serene beauty, which made people involuntarily trust her.

Wang Xuan, hearing her words, looked at the wooden basins but could only see some vague system information.

[Raven Transformation Ritual (Unknown)]

This marks the greatest difference between ordinary Lords and Zong Shen. For Zong Shen, there are no secrets with the system’s prompts, while ordinary Lords have to guess half-blindly.

Just by looking at the name, one can discern very little.

”Alright, let’s proceed with the ritual quickly.”

Seeing them hesitating, the deacons started urging.

Wang Xuan thought for a moment, then took the first step toward the wooden basin.

The other Lords exchanged looks, and with Wang Xuan leading, they too headed toward the wooden basin.

However, just then, the black Lord standing on the outermost edge suddenly took out a green insignia and cast it onto the ground, causing three green smoke clouds to explode.

As the smoke cleared, three medium-sized Tree-man Warriors, each standing 1.78 meters tall, appeared in place.

And that black Lord himself ran along a path within the village.

Raven Saintess Shafuri seemed prepared for this. Without needing her staff or chanting, she extended her palm toward the fleeing black Lord, and a Frost Chain flew forth, entangling his waist.

Soon ice started forming around his waist. With the chain’s restraint, the black Lord couldn’t move and was quickly brought back by the Great Halberd Warriors.

”Continue.”

”Don’t waste time.”

Shafuri commented nonchalantly, waving her hand to disperse the Frost Chain.

Standing nearby, Wang Xuan and the others felt alarmed, extinguishing any thought of escaping. Watching the Calamity Raven Church’s formidable methods, they grew uneasy.

Under Shafuri’s urging, one by one they entered the wooden basins, which allowed an adult to kneel and embrace themselves within them.

The Lords, under the supervision of the Church Deacons and Shafuri, entered the wooden basins one by one. In an instant, the basins were covered with frost and black raven light.

As Wang Xuan entered the basin, he felt something wrong. The Raven’s Blood acted like a membrane wrapping around him. His armor had long been confiscated, and he only wore a layer of cloth. Almost instantly, the cloth dissolved, his skin touching the black membrane, and his flesh was quickly assimilated.

”Damn it!”

”Ahhhh!”

”Ugh...”

All the Lords entering the basins let out shrill screams. Wang Xuan’s wooden basin showed his arm covered by the membrane before it drooped listlessly.

All the basins fell silent. The transformation process was terrifying, particularly the Raven’s Blood, infused with unique magic power, which immediately assimilated flesh upon contact.

Nearby, Raven Saintess looked indifferent, showing no emotional fluctuation.

”Throw him in too.”

Shafuri pointed at the captured black Lord.

At this time, the Lord’s eyes were lifeless, his legs trembling. If not held by the Cold Crow Halberd Warriors, he would have been unable to stand.

From his pant legs, turbid yellow liquid flowed continuously, forming a puddle at his feet with a strong stench.

He had witnessed Wang Xuan and the others’ terrifying scene in the basins firsthand. This basin was not a ritual of devotion but surely some horrific, evil ceremony.

Upon hearing Shafuri’s orders, the Lord burst into tears, his legs giving way as he knelt, crying for mercy.

Saintess Shafuri didn’t display any compassion, calmly waving her hand as the Cold Crow Halberd Warriors picked him up, bound him, and threw him into the wooden basin.

The struggling black Lord managed to reveal his head but was soon pushed down by the Church Deacon nearby.

Saintess Shafuri displayed her cold and heartless side.

She could regard human life as insignificant for the Church’s grand plan while acting courteously like an ordinary girl. However, all of this depended on not infringing on Church interests.

As the Calamity Raven Church’s Saintess, she had been nurtured by the Church from a young age and had integrated with the Raven Spirit, making her loyalty to the Church beyond doubt.

The transformation into Raven Puppets required time. After all struggle ceased in the basins, the Cold Crow Halberd Warriors brought slabs to press over the basins.

”By tomorrow morning, we will have six fearless Raven Puppet Warriors.”

”Their faith seems thin, so they should absorb quite a bit of transformation blood’s strength.”

Shafuri looked at the basins pressed with stone slabs, addressing the Deacons.

At this moment, several shadows suddenly swept rapidly across the sky above Odu Village.

The ravens circling around the Tower of the Raven were startled, cawing frantically.

Shafuri lifted her head; those shadows moved swiftly through thick clouds, impossible to discern clearly from the ground.

She stood still, her eyes turning completely black. Simultaneously, a circling raven shook and shot skyward, entering the dense clouds.

Within the clouds, its pupil reflections revealed twelve figures patrolling above Odu Village, seemingly spying on the situation below.

Raven Saintess Shafuri’s eyes returned to normality, having seen the visitors’ true faces through the raven ascending to the top of the clouds.

”They’re Dragon Eagle Knights, trying to spy on us.”

”It seems the punitive Expeditionary Army of Lentatus is likely near.”

”Activate the Raven Dome immediately to shield the village.”

”Hasten the deployment of Goblin Landmines; the Dragon Descendant Knight Order is likely the first to arrive.”

Shafuri calmly commanded, evidently having prepared various tactics within Odu Village!
