Global Lords: I Have Information System

Due to this matter, Raven Saintess Shafuri was impressed by Zong Shen and had a favorable impression of this helpful and polite Lord.

Zong Shen nodded with a smile, but didn’t show too much enthusiasm.

He looked around at the Heretical Giant Power Warriors, then squinted at Raven Saintess Shafuri with a smile.

”So Lady Saintess hasn’t forgotten me after all.”

”It’s a pity that this reunion seems somewhat awkward.”

”So many powerful Church Knights surrounding me, could it be that you’re intending to start a fight?”

Zong Shen said without any politeness, the stance of the Heretical Giant Power Knights was obviously a surrounding formation, their intent clear.

Upon hearing this, Raven Saintess showed a slightly embarrassed expression and quickly waved to disperse the Heretical Giant Power Knights.

”Disband everyone, this nobleman is a friend of the Church.”

”He has helped us before.”

With Raven Saintess’s personal command, those Heretical Giant Power Knights naturally complied, dispersing and moving to the sides behind Shafuri, forming up again.

Zong Shen could feel the hostility from those Heretical Giant Power Knights diminished instantly, their previous behavior was full of aggression.

”Is Lady Saintess encountering some trouble on this trip leading the team herself?”

”If Lady Saintess needs any assistance from me, feel free to ask.”

After the hostility dissipated, Zong Shen didn’t probe further but rather politely inquired if Shafuri needed any help to explore her purpose for this outing.

With the great battle approaching, Zong Shen was also concerned about the current state of Odu Village, especially the situation with the Calamity Raven Church.

The Church chose to stay and defend against the Expeditionary Army, they must have some confidence and assurance.

As the leader and commander of this operation, Saintess Shafuri must possess some key secrets.

Zong Shen, if he could grasp some clues, could delve deeper through strategy tips.

Upon these words, Saintess Shafuri’s smile became awkward.

Her trip wasn’t due to some secret mission, but simply recruiting labor, whether it be from the Indigenous People or the Lord’s Influence, taking whoever they encounter back to Odu Village for work.

Recently, they’ve faced some minor troubles, being attacked by some Lords and having a few farmers taken away, categorizing these mysterious forces as unknown entities lumping them all as mysterious forces.

These mysterious forces were cunning and numerous, launching nighttime raids several times, although part of them were killed by the Church Warriors, yet they successfully raided once, capturing about a hundred villagers.

This caused a labor shortage in Odu Village, especially after temporarily erecting many additional constructions, making resolving the labor issue a priority for the church in Odu Village.

All passersby were their targets for raiding, if labor is still lacking, they’d be prepared to go rob people from nearby villages.

However, such blatant population raiding is unsuitable for open mention.

”Well... nothing major, just out on a patrol.”

”And you, my lord? Is there anything you might need our help with?”

Shafuri deftly shifted the conversation back to Zong Shen.

Hearing Shafuri’s response, Zong Shen cursed internally, calling her a little fox.

During her answer, Zong Shen had already consulted the strategy tip, learning about the labor scarcity in Odu Village, and when he heard that those Lords absconded with over a hundred farmers, he couldn’t help but sigh at how many daring individuals there were.

That was clearly a premeditated collaborative operation, who knows about their satisfaction with the bounty; over a hundred farmers, just thinking about it left Zong Shen salivating.

Odu Village was his reserved source of wool, yet others had plucked it first, leaving him somewhat dissatisfied.

Couldn’t the people of the Calamity Raven Church keep better watch?

Zong Shen lamented internally for a moment, having nothing more to say to Shafuri.

He simply waved his hand calmly.

”I’m just out on patrol myself.”

”If Lady Saintess has no further business, then I won’t disturb you and your patrol any longer.”

Zong Shen decisively found an excuse and intended to depart with his team.

He planned to continue heading west, hunting Burrow Monsters along the way, and also to have a look at Odu Village.

Even though he encountered Raven Saintess Shafuri midway, he still wanted to observe the situation.

”Please wait, my lord...”

Shafuri called out suddenly as Zong Shen looked at her in bewilderment.

”I see you’re heading west, there’s a chance you’ll encounter other Church Warriors.”

”Here is my token, if you encounter obstruction from Church Warriors along the way, show them this token.”

After Shafuri spoke, she retrieved a long black feather from the sleeve of her Saintess robe and handed it to Zong Shen.

Zong Shen looked at the black feather upon hearing this.

[Shafuri’s Token (Special)]

[A Raven Feather imbued with Shafuri’s aura]

(With this Raven Feather, Church Warriors won’t obstruct you, even if you enter Odu Village, unless you attempt to enter key areas)

Seeing the feather, Zong Shen’s eyes brightened, promptly nodding in gratitude.

”Thank you for the Saintess’s token, it’s just right as we’re planning to check the west.”

Zong Shen accepted the feather, having this added an extra layer of cover to his plans.

Raven Saintess smiled charmingly, exuding elegance. She indeed was a beauty, with both talent and appearance, being a high-ranking church figure and a Saintess, she possessed a cool aloofness, yet her smile dissolved much of the distance between them.

[Raven Saintess Shafuri’s Affinity with you increased by 5 points, current affinity 25 points (Acquaintance)]

The affinity increased by 5 points, still considered just a face-level familiarity.

”In the future, my lord, if you have a chance, you are welcome to visit the Cold Crow Valley in the north.”

”You can do so with this token.”

After saying this, Shafuri mounted the rear of the Heavy Shire Horse, embracing the waist of the leading Heretical Giant Power Knight, winking at Zong Shen, and led the team eastward.

Who knows how many unfortunate Lords along the way would become their ”spoils of war.”

After giving the token, Shafuri seemed in a much better mood and left gracefully.

Zong Shen held the Raven Feather in hand, watching Raven Saintess Shafuri leave, and then continued forward with his warriors.

There were still over twenty kilometers to Odu Village, this time Shafuri’s reach was longer than ever before, Zong Shen just hoped they wouldn’t abduct members from his Legion or harass Sitanos Village.

However, Zong Shen was evidently overthinking, typically even the smallest village unit, regardless of combat ineptness, had some Tier One militia warriors.

Additionally, with so many villagers, even two squads of Heretical Giant Power Knights truly might not be able to surmount such a large demographic gap, back then the Calamity Raven Church deployed a force of hundreds to easily capture Odu Village.

So Shafuri had no intent to occupy other villages, although these forces might not be enough to attack Sitanos Village, they’re more than sufficient for harassment and raids.

Zong Shen shook his head, brushing off those random thoughts, unable to stop Shafuri’s actions, this region being vast, perhaps she’d catch one or two lords in the east and then head back.

Zong Shen mounted Pigsy, deploying the Burden-Bearer Mecha, letting the Wolf Cavalry Squad clear tracks left by the Burden-Bearer Mecha from behind, whilst surveilling the surroundings.

No other choice, in the absence of horseback riding, only the Burden-Bearer Mecha could fulfill the needs of an exploratory team outing.

Despite the risk of using the Burden-Bearer Mecha near Odu Village, with caution, it shouldn’t pose any major problems.
