The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Of course, the girl herself was also injured, covered in whip marks, which made one feel heartbroken just looking at her.

The most important thing was losing face—the respectable young mistress, yet she was beaten to roll all over the ground, crying out pitifully, with her dress torn into shreds.

Originally the victim, the girl was forcibly sent by her family to a manor in the suburbs for recuperation.

The Princess Consort Qi sent people to offer compensation, but the family dared not accept it, and the parents even had to go to Prince Qi’s Mansion to ”apologize.”

Once the girl recovered, it was inappropriate for her to appear in the Capital City, so her family sent her away to be married in a distant land.

In her lifetime, unless some opportunity arises, she will never return to the Capital City, nor see her parents or relatives again!

The Ma Family wasn’t very close to this niece, but after all, they were family.

In fact, even if they weren’t family, upon hearing such an incident, anyone with a sound worldview and a baseline of morals couldn’t help but sympathize with the girl and denounce Princess Yongping for being too domineering!

Yet this person had backing, the Emperor, upon hearing, merely pretended to scold Princess Yongping mildly, and afterward still rewarded her with many trinkets.

While another girl’s life was ruined.

The Ma Family previously had no means, unable to punish such a wicked girl.

Now... hehe, weren’t you just relying on being the biological daughter of the Princess Consort Qi to tyrannize, then I shall ruin your support!

From the supreme noble lady to a mountain village abandoned infant with unknown parents, let’s see how you will still act wild in the future?

The Ma Family considered themselves a chivalrous hero, they were not scheming, but eliminating evildoers for the people!

Perhaps the means were somewhat unsavory, but as long as the outcome is good, it’s okay!

If possible, they wouldn’t want to deceive, but here is the Dafeng Dynasty, ancient times, where imperial power reigns supreme.

The Ma Family, such noblewomen from a Marquis Mansion, in the face of true authority, can only bow their heads.

Hence, they had no choice but to find another way, a roundabout strategy!

With this idea, the Ma Family abandoned He Tiantian and directly connected with the Wei Zhong Family.

He Tiantian:... do as you wish, anyway, I won’t get involved.

He Tiantian indeed didn’t want to meddle in any affairs of fake and real ladies, she didn’t even wish to stay at the Marquis Mansion.

Just as the Ma Family was bustling about plotting with the Wei Zhong Family, He Tiantian found the Marchioness:

”Madam, I’ve stayed at the Marquis Mansion for some days, and everyone has been very kind to me!”

”I feel somewhat undeserving. Although I’m no doctor, I understand the duty to heal and save lives. Saving Third Young Master was instinctive, never did I think of seeking any reward!”

”In truth, Third Young Master helped me greatly. He took me from the mountain village to the Capital City, showing me the splendor and riches I never witnessed in my lifetime.”

”Not to mention, the nobles of the Marquis Mansion have treated me exceedingly well, be it clothing, food, or servants, without a hint of neglect!”

”...But ultimately, I am not the rightful master of the Marquis Mansion, always living here is indeed inappropriate.”

”It happens that I have a few remedies in hand, if the Marchioness shows mercy and helps me set up a shop in the Capital City for a livelihood, I would be tremendously grateful!”

Therefore, if the Marquis Mansion still wishes to return the favor, there’s no need to acknowledge me as an adopted daughter, just give me money and a shop!

With money exchanged, the feud between us can be erased!

He Tiantian spoke very candidly.

The Marchioness listened, though a bit uncomfortable—her Marquis Mansion had been ”disliked” by a mountain village girl.

However, the discomfort was minor, the Marchioness felt more gratified.

This ”He Dian” indeed showed knowledge and sensibility as a wise person.

Gu Jingyuan’s estrangement, He Dian being active in the Marquis Mansion... the Marchioness observed all.

Some matters were even orchestrated by her.

She intended for He Dian to realize difficulties to deter any restless thoughts.

It seemed effective now, He Dian finally couldn’t bear it and came to resign.

The Marchioness feigned attempts to retain her with a few words, but Tiantian was very insistent, putting on a ”pleading” posture.

The Marchioness relented at the right time, agreed to He Tiantian’s request, and gave her a property with a shop in front and residence at the back, also a thousand taels of silver to close the life-saving debt with Gu Jingyuan.

Of course, the clothing, jewelry, and small gifts He Tiantian received during her time at the Marquis Mansion could all be taken with her.

He Tiantian didn’t tell anyone, except secretly notifying the Second Young Madam, Lady Wei, before moving out of the Marquis Mansion alone.

When Gu Jingyuan returned from the hot spring manor, and suddenly remembered he had a ”wife” and went to the East Cross Court, he found out that she had long moved out.

Gu Jingyuan, in a moment of exasperation, went to confront the Marchioness seeking explanations.

But upon seeing the Marchioness’s calm, dignified expression, his fury fizzled out.

”She requested a shop and a thousand taels of silver. Hereafter, she will have no entanglement with the Marquis Mansion.”

The Marchioness spoke calmly, her eyes full of warning and reminder.

Gu Jingyuan opened his mouth, wanting to say something, ultimately it vanished into a sorrowful sigh, ”...Mother, understood!”
