The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Because she saw through the identity of the Ma Family’s wild writer in advance, she temporarily gained victory.

However, He Tiantian dared not relax, nor dare she underestimate the Ma Family.

Previously outside the Marquis Mansion’s gate and inside the hall, He Tiantian personally witnessed the Ma Family’s words and deeds.

She knew that this person’s mind and ability were very strong.

The reason she would lose to herself was simply because she was too confident and did not know there were other writers in this world.

Once she learns of He Tiantian’s existence, she will definitely become vigilant.

In fact, even after this experience, even if the Ma Family doesn’t know there’s a He Tiantian, she would still become more cautious.

...This is a war without gunpowder, and He Tiantian does not want to lose to the Ma Family!

After taking the money, He Tiantian expressed some ”heartfelt thoughts” to Gu Jingyuan.

With the display of ”True Love”, the two men and women, each with their own thoughts, did not appear too abrupt.

In the study, there was instead a sticky ambiguity.

He Tiantian, like the original owner, seemed to refuse yet welcomed, hesitated to speak, whetting the appetite.

As for Gu Jingyuan, seeing He Tiantian swiftly take the silver without grievance, complaint, but instead as gentle and affectionate as before, he felt relieved.

He thought he had successfully calmed ”He Dian”, with no worries or guilt in his heart.

He Tiantian:... As long as you’re happy!

”It’s getting late, I, I should leave!”

He Tiantian continued to act skillfully, responsibly maintaining the original character setting.

She looked reluctant, with a hint of bitterness, ”Brother Ah Ya, I can no longer call you this way after today. From now on, you, you are my sworn brother!”

Gu Jingyuan felt even more heartbroken, ”Ah Dian, it’s my fault, don’t worry, I will treat you well!”

He’s just waiting for things to get back on track, then he will find a chance to confess to his mother.

No matter how humble Ah Dian’s status, she is at least his lifesaver.

She’s not asking to be the Main Wife, just a concubine; mother and the Ma Family should be able to understand!

”...I will wait!”

He Tiantian said this with tears, then turned to leave.

Of course, as she left, He Tiantian made sure to strike a pose but also didn’t forget about that box of silver notes.

Leaving the study, Mozhu, who was hiding nearby keeping watch, came up to her.

He is Gu Jingyuan’s confidant, although Gu Jingyuan had amnesia, the master is still the master.

Mozhu instinctively leans towards Gu Jingyuan.

However, towards a village girl like ”He Dian”, Mozhu was not very respectful.

He even glanced at the box in He Tiantian’s arms with his eyes.

As a servant, peeking at a ”distinguished guest” is absolutely improper behavior.

But Mozhu didn’t care, perhaps he didn’t intentionally slight ”He Dian,” but this ”not intentional” speaks volumes.

Even a confidant like Mozhu shows such an attitude towards ”He Dian”, let alone other servants in the Pagoda Courtyard.

For example, some rough maids, gatekeeping women, they took He Tiantian’s silver, yet still laughed and gossiped about her behind her back.

They would not keep secrets for He Tiantian.

So, almost that very night, the Ma Family received the news—

”The Third Young Master gave Lady He silver? And Lady He took the silver to buy over the courtyard’s servants?”

The Ma Family heard Fei Cui’s report and couldn’t help but snort with laughter, ”She really doesn’t settle down, she’s just arrived, not even warmed her seat, and she’s already stirring trouble!”

”What is she trying to find out? Does she want to know my whereabouts, or does she want to know the preferences of the young master and young miss?”

”Or is it the situation of each room in the Marquis Mansion?”

The Ma Family asked a series of questions, and these were all things that the original He Dian had done in the original book.

In the original plot, the original owner didn’t know He Dian’s deceit, manipulation, and truly regarded her as a lifesaver.

She not only instructed the servants to serve well, but also gave clothes and jewelry.

The original owner was kind and generous, considering He Dian came from a poor background and had no silver to rely on, she even gave He Dian a year’s salary as a ”monthly salary supplement”, a total of 144 taels of silver.

Fours and fours are not auspicious, so the original owner rounded it up and directly gave He Dian a hundred and fifty taels.

These were by no means monthly salaries from the public treasury, but were from the original owner’s own pocket.

Additionally, that scoundrel Gu Jingyuan also gave He Dian all the private savings he had accumulated over the past ten years.

He Dian, holding these silvers, started buying people in the Pagoda Courtyard.

She couldn’t buy first-class, second-class maids, but those unranked little maids, coarse women, coveted the benefits He Dian offered.

Although they dared not openly betray their master, they would secretly tell He Dian some news.
